When she had first heard the news about Mysmyr and what he had done Nidawi had been shocked. Just like everyone else, especially her make-shift family. And she was disgusted. With him and with herself. Because it was they that had brought him here. They had let him in their group, called him brother. To think one of his victims could have been one of her cubs.
For a time she had been scared that she and her group would be asked to leave. It was an irrational fear, but she had been scared none the less. When that hadn't happened she had finally been able to relax, for the first time in a long time. And she had been able to think about the impact of the revelation on the rest of her family. Especially Semira, her closest sister. First the tragedy of her childhood and now this. Nidawi felt her heart clench just thinking about how she must feel.
Because of that she had made sure she and Semira were watching their cubs alone today. The little ones were playing a few paces away from them and when she was sure they were too engaged in their game to pay any attention to the adults she sat next to the dark lioness. "Tell me sister, how are you?" Her eyes held concern and compassion as they searched Semira's face, trying to read her emotions.

Since Mysmyr had been revealed as the killer Semira had been beside her self. She had barely left her den, and only attempted to seem normal for her cubs, but their was no denying that they would be able to see the changes in her.
She lay with her head on the ground barely moving, she had been convinced to leave the den today to watch her cubs play, it was nice to see them active and going about their lives, some of them where worried about what was going on, and what would happen next, specially her little Kairu.
When Semira heard her sister ask a question she stirred slightly, though the depressed lioness barely had the energy to lift her own head. She made a small grunting noise in response, not being able to make a coherent sentence for her sister. She knew that she owed her sister more than that, but it had been so hard lately. Semira had reproduced with that monster, she knew that her children were nothing like him, he had had no part in raising them but inside of her she still wondered if they could be evil. There was also the issue that Mysmyr had killed her bestfriend's family, how was she suppose to face Kabu now?
