Hmm, The new whip colors look interesting; Would be nice to be able to have the blue one while wearing rune. Looking at the Rewards page, it seems the strength bonus of the fighter torso has been removed, can anyone confirm this?

Thats the problem.
Now people are gonna want more whips so price is gonna skyrocket.
I want the white whip because it fits my Monochrome-ish character.

RUNESCAPE IS NOT ABOUT MATCHING THE COLORS OF YOUR OUTFIT.
It's about leveling your skills.
This kind of stuff pisses me off. I know, I sound like a hypocrite right now
but I don't play Runescape to play dress up. That's what Gaia's for. I could
care less if my whip matched my Blue Ele or my Halloween Event Costume.
They could have done something more productive with the game like update
ALL the monsters and races, or work on getting the new skill as good as
it can be. Hell, even fixing the damn Earth Altar would be good.

Not saying you have, but that's just a nice example. rolleyes I don't wear my Dragon gloves over my Barrows gloves because they match with my Dragon Chainbody but because, as I've said many many times, I still have a love for Dragon Armor that Bandos will never replace. I always dreamed of having Dragon Armor and now I do, an almost complete set in fact. I have it for the same reason I still have my Saradomin Armor and Rune Boots. Sentimental value.

I don't "match" at all when in serious combat gear, but I do have a tab full of general non-fighting clothes, or costume items I can't store elsewhere. If I need to do some fighting but don't need to have super stats (harpie bugs or basilisks for Slayer, etc.), I'll mix super-gear with dress-up. Besides, prancing around in full plate all the time is tiring. I like having my character go about her tasks in nice clothes, or garb suited to the area I'm in, but I'd rather see an update with alternative combat gear than fun clothes.
That said, I don't see myself using the whip colour change. I've never even played a game of Assault. .___. I usually don't carry my whip anyway unless I'm doing Slayer.
