As I've read the DGM series I've noticed that at the start of the series the art work was very detailed and really gave a good sense of scenery and character. I've noticed that over time the series seemed to have lost it's complexity. I'm just wondering why everything went so simple in the drawing sense and this comes from another artist. I myself draw a little manga of my own and I try to keep the same flow of things as best I can so why is Hoshino-sensei getting a little lapse?

I don't know that I'd say she's getting lapse, but her style is definitely changing. I know some people are really impressed with this newer style but personally I prefer her old one. I find it kind of hard to tell the characters apart know because their faces all look the same. Does anyone else feel that way? I can't out my finger on it but the lines seem somehow... less crisp? I don't know, but I definitely see what you mean about the detail.

I personally prefer the style from in the middle of the series. In the beginning, Allen looked like he was 10, and now he looks about 25. I do , however; like the art whether its detailed or not.

I think I agree with Ogi... -did a quick look at the chapters again- The art style in Chp 40 was really good, but the art style in Chp 100 is probably my favorite. I'm getting a little confused with the new art style, but I can't complain. I'm glad Hoshino-sensei is trying different styles~.

Looking back, I definitely agree. The middleish time was the best.
