Tricks are what you could call the "tools" of a Storm Rider. They are performed for races, battles, or even just training. Each trick does something that helps the rider further their power so that they can become the best of the best. In the guild, tricks are just done. Whatever the description of a trick says, that tells you what it does. To perform it all you need to do is RP it out. Remember to take stats into consideration as you learn and do tricks. For example, if you had a relatively low stamina, then you wouldn't be able to pull continuous usage of tricks; if you had a high strength, then an offensive trick would be stronger than if you had lower strength. This is why tricks are just tools and the rider is the wielder.

Road tricks are tricks learned that are Road-specific, obviously meaning that you must ride that Road to learn those tricks. These tricks are automatically added to your character if you reach the required ranking for that trick. Though, since only one person may be the true King of a Road, the Infinity Atmosphere is only eligible to those individuals.
Just to show an example, here are the tricks for the Wing Road:

Double Jump: The rider changes their center of gravity to their chest and spins forward or backward depending on which way they want to go and push upwards allowing them to do another high jump.
Surface Rider: The rider uses their ability to ride the air interfaces to ride across the numerous densities caused by different shifting air pressures. Basically like traversing across the wind. This is a C Class technique.
Zephyr Comet: The rider pushes a breeze from the ground up, so that any small loose objects are brought into the air. Then, by manipulating the wind around the objects, holds them in the air. Anything from soda cans, rocks, or scraps of metal can be utilized. This is the preparation for the real attack. By unleashing an ultimate kick to create a sort of wall of air, it rockets the object like a flashing bullet. The wall that is made to launch the "comet" squeezes on the object as it passes, strengthening the shot by adding density. The power of it can dent most metals. As the rider progress, more projectiles may be shot simultaneously. For every 100 Jump + Stamina, the rider is able to shoot an additional shot at the same time. This is an A Class technique. See here: [x]
Infinity Airdoor: Moonstruck Drop: The rider can produce gusts of winds capable of reaching over 180mph, comparable to winds of natural disasters. These winds can cause the opponent to be sent flying backwards at a massive rate, if not have them fly off their feet. And the strength of the wind takes any loose objects and carries it with the incredible storm. The power also has the alarming power of reflecting back any projectile-type attacks that are aimed towards the rider. This is a King Class technique.

As you can see, there are no requirements labeled at the end of Double Jump, so any Wing Road rider is able to do it, while on the opposite end, Surface Rider is labeled an C Class trick, meaning that you must be C-Rank to use it, and Zephyr Comet is labeled A Class, meaning it requires A-Rank. Lastly, Infinity Airdoor: Moonstruck Drop is labeled a King Class technique, so only the Wind King would be able to use it.

Custom trick slots are gained every time you rank up your character; and are sometimes given out at special events or as prizes. Even though they are just tricks, they can become quite powerful and therefore we have placed down the following rules so one does not misuse the privilege of a custom trick.

Quote:

1) No custom trick is to multiply a stat.

2.) All tricks must be approved and updated to the profile before being able to be used in battle.

3.) If you change Roads, then any previous custom tricks that you had are lost, along with the custom trick slot.

4.) One cannot make a trick in mid-battle and then use it during that same battle.

5.) You cannot copy another person's custom trick, unless stated otherwise. They may be similar, but don't expect to get away with the exact same trick but with just a different name.

6.) Custom tricks must at least loosely follow your Road or must be a basic style. (Example of a basic trick is a special type of grind or flip)

7.) Unless your Road is specifically designed to copy other Roads, don't make a trick from another Road, but again... they may be similar. (Example: no Thorn Road riders making Flash Step)

8.) You may purchase an extra Custom Trick Slot with 1000 Ryu. Just create an update post informing the mods that you are doing so.

More may be added...

"Free Tricks" are custom tricks that people have created that have been allowed for another person to use for their own character(s). To use their trick, you must have a custom trick slot, gained by any means, and your character must follow the same Road as stated on the trick. Just apply for a custom trick as usual, but apply your own information in there (Character's Name + Trick Slot).

Forum tricks are the tricks that can be gained by posting in a thread that is labeled "Tricks". On the bottom of the first post in any thread that is labeled a "trick thread", there will be any tricks that can be gained from it. This as an example:

Sable Tiger Moon Walk Wrote:

Sable Tiger Moon Walk-
Trick Type: Skill
Requirements: None
A skill not for those faint of heart, the moon walk is the skill to run one’s ATs backwards. This skill was effectively used by the former leader of Team Sable Tigers to keep men entranced by her devastatingly good looks while she raced ahead of them…. Even if you don’t have devastating good looks, this is still a useful skill, and gives you the ability to keep an eye on opponents behind you, or move more effectively in general.
500 SP

Name of trick, type of trick, requirements for trick, and skill points to obtain trick are all shown. 'SP', meaning skill points, is how many words that are needed to post in that thread to be able to learn it. As long as you fill the requirements necessary and roleplay enough SP, you may learn the trick. And you do not have to make all the words in one post. You may do it cumulatively.
Note: Words for tricks may NOT apply for updating stats or ryo.
