 "Where is that dumb dog?" Din growled lightly to herself. She'd recently found herself a maned wolf named Aki that was willing to do her bidding. Din had always wanted a familiar, so in return for some mild protection (and the occasional bit of food) the creature would rally messages, explore for something interesting, and so on. Right now, she was doing the latter. "Aki's going to paaay for this," Din muttered, more under her breath. While she supposedly was out doing her job, the creature should've been back by now. Din wasn't worried, though. Just irritated that she hadn't made it back by now.
The sun looked like it was about to set, and that meant time was up. Din could find plenty of other creatures willing to serve her in return for a bit of protection by a goddess, so she wasn't under any pressure to remain around here waiting. After all, dogs had good noses, right? She wouldn't fly, so Aki should be able to track her, if she really wanted to get back. The goddess rose to her paws, gave a quick stretch, ruffled her feathers and then started padding into the sunset, keeping an eye open for anything interesting herself.

The fire inside her heart was raging, engulfing her as she ground her jaw together to keep in the screams, the roaring. She had left Nix, Dae and the children to keep them away. She needed to keep them away, Daemonascus had given up his ability to age to ensure the past would not repeat itself, and in this moment she felt her control slipping, the rage consuming her.
Ryu'Rage snarled, her wings spreading out, an invisible pulse of the aura inside of her fleshing out, burning the tips of the grass blades around herself.
The light of her spirit was fading, she was losing.
With an erupting roar she had failed to keep it at bay, only time and exhaustion would cage the beast now.
She smirked, stretching her legs, cracking her neck, it felt good, to be alive, to be released. Her eyes scanned the area, time to find a source to become her outlet this night.

Now there was something interesting. A small smirk creased the corners of the goddess' mouth. A little pulse, dull undoubtedly from distance, of something... powerful. She wondered if it would be someone (or something) she knew from a past life? Not to mention the roar that accompanied it- it would be impossible for the goddess to stay away.
She seemed to be drawn to the source of the pulse, irresistibly curious, hoping that Aki wouldn't show up now of all times. Then again, if she did, things might turn interesting. Din crested a hill to have her eyes meet with a red and black form, which she simply stared at for the moment... Another goddess, she could tell from the wings. She pondered this one's domain from the short distance and flicked her tail casually. "Very interesting..." she said quietly.

Ryu'Rage extended her forelegs out, extended her claws and looked at them, shining in the minimal light now. The sun would be gone, extinct from this world for a night, and what a night, this would be, would become. She grinned, flicking her tail, silver eyes cast in darkness. The fur atop her head, on her neck, long and would shade her eyes until the last moment, until the victim succumbed.
A pulse went through her chest and she snarled to herself, she wasn't in complete control.
A voice caught her ears, they flicked and she turned her head slightly, seeing a form in the distance. All she needed to see were wings and she began to tear across the ground with her paws, claws extended ripping up the ground.
This would be a fun game, she snarled to herself, her new toy had arrived.

"Nice introduction!" Din said aloud, this time her words were meant to be heard by the other goddess. Though, this one didn't seem the type for words. She had to make a snap decision... She had only just been reborn into this life not long ago, and had come down to the mortal plane not more than a week ago... Was she willing to risk this life this soon with a complete stranger for no apparent reason?
... Hell yes, why not? Besides, worst comes to worst... She was quite sure she could just teleport away. To any away, what were the odds that this goddess could track her down immediately?
And just like that, wreckless choice made, Din mirrored the move of the black lioness, charging straight head on, wings spread just a hint and tilted by default, ready to take to the skies, if need be. However, that wasn't the move she intended. She took one last leap towards her yet-nameless opponent and readied a clawed paw to strike somewhere, anywhere... Though, preferably the head, and accompanied this strike with a roar.

Ryu would not stop, Rage held no control now. She was faster, stronger than her weaker half and she basked in the glory of being able to exist, even if for only a few moments. She would make this goddess remember her eyes, her name, the stinging that would consume her. She sneered feeling a fire inside her, burning, and she relished in the pain and burning, a dark seeing flame like aura protruding from her paws as she ran, her silver eyes seemed to glow.
Did she know who she was facing, how vulnerable she could be?
As the goddess leaped forward, Ryu had to give her credit for trying, she snarled, ducked sideways and let the pulse of darkness surge from her body.
All she needed was a touch of her fur, and she'd grab hold, and not let go until she begged, pleaded, her eyes were full of anger and rage, wrath.

This was Din's mistake, she had treated another goddess as a mortal. She should have expected something beyond physical blows in this battle. The mistake of underestimating her opponent seemed to be a recurring theme in Din's various lives, she always had to relearn it. However, it only took one instance in each life to remind her- she wouldn't make the same mistake twice. After all, you started to lose a battle when you continuously underestimated any opponent.
She was glad she had readied her wings- she pushed hard to fly away and up, just for a moment. She landed after she had put some suitable distance between herself and the black and red goddess. She had missed the brunt of the aura attack, though that wasn't to say she hadn't gotten some damage. Her side pulsed with the constant throb of a burn. She had a sizable patch of bloody skin on the side closest to where the stranger had been. She released an angered snarl in surprise and pain.
Enough of that, she had decided. Time to put a buffer between her and her enemy. Din took the largest radius she could muster- about 5 feet in any direction, and pushed down. Blades of grass bent from the increase in gravity, though Din-tei seemed unaffected. The goddess wouldn't be able to get in close at full strength anymore, she would feel heavy and slow any time she got into this "barrier" of altered gravitational field. Though, this wasn't to say Din was untouchable, she'd have to be careful.
Though, with this extra comfort, she felt a bit more at ease- confident. She would give another try to a physical attack- this time, from the air. She kept her wings half spread, ready to give her a bit of a push if it was needed before charging again and leaping. This time, though, she was more prepared to avoid the same attack as what she had just faced. She would get more "air" than the other goddess could, with her increased field.
