Nyx had her mother back! Not only that...but she had little siblings! The singing Crafter couldn't help but feel happy. A piece of her shattered family had come home, and brought new additions for her to love and watch over. Because watch over her little siblings she would. NOTHING would happen to them. Not like Miira's little daughter. Nyx would NOT loose any family ever again. And with her mother and siblings sleeping safely under Sere's watch...Nyx had slipped out to share the good news with one other...
She approached where she'd last seen the god, humming. "Katana'k! Something wonderful has happened!" Nyx sang the words, happiness too heavy inside her to contain.
He had been sleeping, had been until he heard her voice. He was enclonsed in a small den he had foun, and when he meant small, he meant he had to back into it with his wings to fit, nestle himself and not let others see he had wings. Although someone here already knew. He opened one eye and sighed, stretching his legs but not moving, "This way, y light," he called having her come closer rather than have him move from a rather uncomfortable, tight, yet strangely calm place.
He saw something move beyond the opening of the den and knew she was close. She was happy, it was in her voice. He culd guess what it was, but that would ruin the fun to play on later. He wndered how log he could bait this little morsel, although she was quite grown now. A feeling to protect her and keep her as his plaything was coming over him as of late. Any prodding males would loose their eyes.
Nyx made her way in carefully, marveling at how her dark one had fit in here. It was easy enough for her but...Well, he was larger and had wings to worry about. Once closer, she sat down, barely able to contain herself. "Mom returned! She was alive the whole time and...she's home." It was a relief, knowing that her hope had not been in vain. "And I've got newborn siblings." Oh perhaps she was a little jealous...but she was more proud than anything. She would get to be an older sister! As Kohpi and Kabichi had been to her!
"Ah, more family then, do any look like you? Though none would be able t cpare to my light," he purred baiting her again, smiling as he did. HIs pupiless white eyes glinted i the minial light, his armor cold on his face and arms. "You are hapy the, to protect them yes, to feel like they need you. I am glad, it is good to see ou smiling. Such life in your eyes. It is wonderful to see," he moved a little bit, felt himself getting closed in by her being so close. "Perhaps his call for a walks?" where she could tell him things and he could put teh net around his catch a little tighter.
The white and black lioness shook her head. "No...they take more after their father's side of the family, apparently. They're a cute bunch, though." She stood and moved, so that Katana'k could get out. "I'll admit...knowing they'll need me is a comfort. It's...nice to be needed. Especially with Usiku getting so close to that age where he'll no longer need me." It would be sad...that day when he could join the adolescents and adults in their duties.
Katana'k nodded and pulled himself from teh den. is wings disappeared into nothingness and his armor and forearm wings disappeared as wel. Just in case, of prying eyes. "You'll always be needed, no matter what age family grows to, something about family always ligners. Whther its wisdom or help, soething is always needed. " In Katana'k's case, it was killing his brother was what he needed. "Perhaps I shall see them sometime, your young siblings, only if allowed of course."
The thought of him meeting her family...it made her happy inside, in a way different from her current happiness. She nodded. "I would love if you met them. They don't do much right now but...they're special." She'd heard what Sere had said about her two youngest siblings, especially. They were destined to one day leave...but she knew they'd come back to visit at least. Or she could go to visit them.

"Then I shall," he spoke simply. He spread his wings and took a few steps, and then secluded himself again in his thoughts. Young ones, he had so many of them now, his eyes cracked open and he looked to her, no, she would never have to know. He would never tell her, it might pain her heart, and ruin his game of course.
"Every child can only do so much when so young, jsut wait until they age, they will have your running for the hills from their energy," energy, that was one of them he was told, amongst others.
The less cruel side of himself wondered how many others he would taint this world with, and as he looked to Nix, he smirked.
He would not be done, not yet.
"For now, shall we walk?" he grinned, trying to hide it under a smile.

Nyx nodded, not catching the grin beneath the smile. He'd given her no reason to be suspicious. He had her trust, and maybe something else...She started forward, never straying far from him, to keep up the illusion of him being 'blind' he'd made when he'd first entered the pride.

"The come my light," he smiled, attempted a faux purring that sounded like a low, murmuring snarl, soft and toned almost to a whisper. "There is so much I can show you this coming night," he smiled and draped a wing over her form, turning and she became unseen under it as they walked, casting the illusion on her as well.
He would bring her into shadow tonight, yes, and how would she be tomorrow? How much further could he bring his pet into the corners of his control?
This game never grew old.
But part of him still questioned whether this was still a game.
No, he couldn't be sincere, could he?

Nyx was surprised when she was drawn into the illusion, crimson eyes widening a little. Was she unseen now, like Katana'k's wings? Her surprise faded into a smile, soft and content. Being so close to the god...it was an odd feeling. A rather comfortable odd.
"I look forward to seeing what you show me." She always looked forward to spending time with him. There was something about him that always drew her in, called to her...
And she was certain that somehow, she would always answer that call. He was, after all, the only thing in her life that hadn't caused her sadness or anger somehow.
