Serenade's life was pretty much what she could describe as miserable right now. She had mutedly nodded when Aries had told her that she was not to go out alone, not to go out and patrol anymore; the youma were getting much larger and dangerous. Serenade was wise enough not to mention that she had already ran into one when Pierette and Zue were in danger and had taken it out. She understood where Hero was coming from. They all wanted her safe, she knew Ally would want her to be safe too. But it was hell, knowing that you could do something to help and not be allowed to. It was like a puppy that had a fence between it and a bone, and that fence was a strict owner that did not want to give into any pouts or whines. Not that she had did that, however. Perhaps she had pouted just a little bit when Hero had informed her of her decision, but that was trivial, right?
Aside from that, Serenade still worried. She worried about the Zodiacs, every single one of them, every night they went on patrol. Elke liked to reassure her with hugs that she would be okay, but she still worried. The Negaverse had a growing presence in Destiny City, and to her knowledge, the Zodiacs weren't really teaming up for patrols. Saturday mornings were a routine with them, of course, but were they out fighting alone? Serenade did not like that idea.
With this, the Princess of the Zodiacs determined that she would have to track down every single one of them and make sure they were alright. She even brought cookies! The first on her list was Taurus. Actually, Aries should have been first, but Serenade was pretty sure she would be alright. It was easy to ask the Zodiac girls who attended Crystal anyway. The others were the problem.
Serenade just followed the 'zodiac tracker' she had in her head, looking for Topher. She hadn't really known him in Barren Pines, but really, she hadn't known a lot of Zodiacs in Barren Pines. Sigh. What had been Topher's gift anyway? She puzzled over, while walking.

Topher was positively ecstatic. His brand new pool stick had finally arrived from the work shop. They even had it monogrammed. The shining silver T.C. was engraved deeply into the leather case and made it feel that much more professional. Even though the handle of the case didn't fit quite right in his hands due to the stiff leather and the stick itself was still a bit too slippery from the brand new lacquer that had yet to be worn down, it was still the best thing that had happened to him since living through Barren Pines.
After a long time patrolling and training, he was looking forward to just hanging back for a bit and doing what he really loved. Being Taurus and co-captain was hard work. Hard work that he hadn't really been prepared for and it wasn't strictly physical. The mental challenges of living a double life were getting to him. Lying wasn't something he did often but he'd been forced to do so to hide the fact that he was Taurus. Not to mention the fact that he hadn't really seen any of the zodiacs for the longest time outside of Saturday. It seemed like they had already dissolved into their own people. So much for being a team. Unless that meant being a team when it was absolutely necessary. That was how you kept the world safe right? Wrong. Even in his brief time of being a senshi, he was sure that it wasn't how they were supposed to operate.
Either way, it was all getting way too complicated. Why not take advantage of the brief silence and practice the night away. There were competitions to win and new games to learn. Anything to keep him occupied. He honestly hadn't been looking for anyone to hang out with but normally that came with the billiards scene. The moment you play against someone, you'll have someone to talk to the entire night. They were definitely a good place to strike up a conversation if you were good enough to play for long enough.
Totally unaware that someone was actually looking for him, Topher continued on down the sidewalk and towards the Billiards hall, hopefully to clear his mind of everything for a short while.

And finally, after a while, she spotted the dark blue head she had been looking for (and it wasn't as if she would be mistaken and approach a stranger) and fell into step beside him, breathlessly uttering a "Hi, Topher!" He was carrying a long case, and for a moment, she had stared at it for a while, wondering what exactly it was. It had to be connected to what he did in Barren Pines, right? The problem was she hadn't the faintest idea, so she put on her best, polite smile in front of the vice captain of the Zodiacs. "I, um, baked some cookies for the Zodiac, so you get some too!" With this, she thrust out the bag she was holding rather sheepishly.
"I hope I'm not interrupting anything?" She added, blinking her bright pink eyes at him. He was alone, so that was a good thing for her, right? But it also meant that he was alone and not with the other Zodiacs that were in Meadowview. She honestly didn't know what to think about that.

The seemingly sudden appearance of the familiar green haired girl snapped him out of any thought he might have had. He would have jumped out of his shoes and been halfway down the block if it wasn't for the fact that it was her. The boy let out a quick sigh of relief and let his body relax, fingers loosening around the leather handle of the case.
"Good lord! If I hadn't known you, I would've been half way to China by now! I can run pretty fast when I'm freaked out!" His normal wide smile was spurred on by her own. Cookies were always the best way to put a smile on anyone's face. "You really baked cookies for us? Really? What kind? " He leaned over the bag, trying to peek inside without just openly reaching for them. It wasn't everyday that someone just handed him a bag of cookies that he was allowed to grab from. Outside of his own house anyway.
Topher couldn't help but laugh at the thought that she was interrupting him. "Interrupting me? Don't even worry about it!" He waved a hand as if dismissing the thought. "I don't do anything worth interrupting really. I was just going of to the billiards hall to practice a bit. You and your cookies are welcome to join me if you'd like!"

"Chocolate chip." She piped up with a smile. Everyone liked chocolate right? She had worried that if she put too much, some wouldn't like how sweet it would be (Hero had came to mind, actually), and so settled for just putting chocolate chips in the mix. Topher seemed happy enough about the cookies, which made her much more relieved. "I hope that's okay!"
"I'd like to see you play." She said, falling into step besides him. "I hear you're good! I never really played billiards myself." Serenade normally did not care for sports, and only did so during gym time (at least they didn't have Mr Collins anymore, insert a shudder here), but gym wouldn't let them do something like this.
