Clan Name: The Issun Clan Clan Description:Members of the Issun Clan are identified through one main factor; gold tattoos. The design and amount of the golden ink on their bodies is equivalent to the number of kills, strength, skill, rank in the clan, wars participeted in, and number of innocent lives saved. Each aspect has its own unique design but is ultimately to the descretion of the clan member.
Traditionally, they wear little clothing unless participating in a ceremony to which they dress in full-covering ceremonial robes of dark blue, pattened in gold swirls and writings of blessing. Their faces would also be covered with a mask of an animal's skull, which they would carry with them wherever they went outside of the ceremony. Being Taijutsu orientated, clan members cannot learn any genjutsu outside the clan's own should they learn the taijutsu style. Clan History:Driven out of Sand many generations ago due to the clan's strong dissaprovel of the then newly elected Kazekage, the Issun Clan fled to Rock and were accepted amongst its people as their own. Since then, the Issun Clan have not only become highly proficient in Doton ninjutsu, but have also perfected and strengthened their own particular style jutsu.
The clan name translates into 'One Sun,' suggesting their orientation of concern and priority is centered around the element of fire and solar-dependent jutsu. However, the Issun clan are actually worshippers of an accult Deity called Issun; born from the great Kami but sealed away in a great cage of fire after she tried to destroy the stars. Her name 'One Sun' is her desire to be the only source of light to the world, jealous of the stars that light the night when she can not. The cage she is sealed within is the sun itself.
Issun, while she lit the world for human kind, was also the keeper of the flames that warmed hell. Due to this belief, many of the Issun clan believe that unpure souls of those who die will experience hell in the sun, not in the centre of the Earth's core.
Finally, the members of the Issun clan do not use fire ninjutsu. To use the sacred element is a tremondous insult. Instead, the clan use an ancient lost form of summoning, blood ninjutsu and taijutsu. Members of the clan may also master a weapon style of their choice. Anyone may join the clan after personally contacting the Head of the clan and going through the initiation ceremony - this to receive their first gold tattoo. Clan Members:o Clan Head Bouka Issuno Member --- o Member --- o Member --- o Member --- o Member --- Jutsu:Genin Fukumen - Mask {Upon reaching the rank of Genin, the member of the Issun clan is given a ceremonial animal mask the member must keep with them at all times. The mask is engraved with blessings that negate all fire ninjutsu up to one rank below the user.}Ousatsu - Beating to Death [Taijutsu, Stage One] {Signified by the users making jabs with the base of their palms and never taking their feet off the ground, Ousatsu is a viscious form of Taijutsu that literally aims to beat the opponent to death.
At stage one the clan member is just beginning their basic introduction to the Ousatsu style. First they are tought the weaknesses of the human body - where a killing blow can be struck in one go and other such aspects of the human body.o 3 posts of a full paragraph of self-researched information on a vulnerable point on the human body. Eg. Spine, Joints, Neck, Stomach.
Once this is accomplished, the clan member can then go on to begin their pyhsical training. Endurence is essential.o 5 posts of a full paragraph showing the clan member going through an ednurence exercise. Eg, Standing underneath a waterfall, Hanging from an overhanging object with weights while doing exercises - legs up to hip height, knees to chest - , Punching and kicking an unbreakable object without stop.
Taijutsu Techniques Acquired:o KnuckleDown - Able to take more hits than before - stronger endurence.o KeenEye - Knowledge of weakness of human body.}Kokushibyou - Black Death {This technique is accesible to Genin due to its low chakra consumption to the user. By using chakra, the clan member attracts viruses and bacteria from their surroundings into a lquid - water, spit, blood - to which they must then introduce to their oppenent's blood stream. This can be done either directly - Eg. Senbon/kunai coated in the infected liquid peirces the skin, thus introducing the bacteria. - Or, indirectly - The opponent is covered over the orafices (mouth, nose, ears and even eyes) through which the bacteria invade. The bacteria are strengthened by the user's chakra and then begin to use their new host's chakra to keep them going at this elevated rate. Two posts since introduction before opponent is too sick to battle at anything more than half-capacity. Four posts, requires immediate treatment of anti-bodies. The user can kill the bacteria by injecting a small shot of their own chakra into the host's system.}Kokoronokinsen - Innermost Soul {While it may seem as if the user has left their body, the jutsu actually does nothing more than tremendously expand the user's ability to sense the creatures around them. Nothing and no-one can hide from this jutsu but it has a limited range of only twenty square meters.}Kurome - Black Eyes {It requires little chakra and turns the user's eyes completely black while allowing perfect sight in even the most pitch black of areas.}Chuunin Ousatsu - Beating to Death [Taijutsu, Stage Two] {With increased endurence the clan member can begin the second stage. Now, they must learn how to srtike an opponent.o 7 posts; user uses the base of their palms to stike an object repeatedly, feet firm on the ground. Quick, hard jabs to areas of the human body where it is weakest. Eg. Spine, Joints.o 5 posts; clan member balances on a thin pole or rail while holding heavy weights. Good posture is essential - balancing books on one's head is a tried and true method.
Taijutsu Techniques Acquired:o Bruiser - Clan member can strike instantly bruising blows. Dangerous to opponents of weak physical nature.o SteadyFeet - Clan member is harder to knock down off their feet.}Shukketsushi - Bleeding to Death {Requires at least a drop of blood from the intended victim to work. This technique uses the blood of the victim to slowly 'call out' the blood of the opponent through any and all open wounds. Takes 4 posts before the opponent has lost enough blood to feel whoozey and slightly dazed on their feet.}Gishi - Feigning Death {One of few genjutsu the Issun clan learn, this is one of the more useful. The jutsu actually slows down the clan member's heart to be nearly impossible to detect and so the user barely breathes. They are in incapable of movement while in this state but are still aware of their surroundings. Cannot be summoned and dispersed within the same post.}Kyuuketsuki - Bloodsucker {Again requiring the intended victim's blood, this time, the user can regenerate their own health slightly by drinking the nutrients of the victim's blood. Small cuts can be healed and infections helped kept at bay.}Nakitama - Departed Soul {A genjutsu that tricks the victim into seeing the spirit of a dead person they once loved or cared for. The soul, however, shows only resentment to the victim and clear hatred.}Jounin Desumasuku - Death Mask {By acheiving Jounin rank, the user is granted a death mask. Unlike masks put upon an individual after their death, the Issun clan's Death Masks are specially engraved by Issun priest to protect the user from fire ninjutsu of the user's rank. This replaces their animal mask and can not be used in conjunction.}Ousatsu - Beating to Death [Taijutsu, Stage Three] {Even at stage three, endurence is still vital to build in order to progress. On this stage, the clan members begin to learn their first special attacks.o 12 posts; the user keeps low to the ground, staying on the flat of their feet as they quickly move and make jabs - using the base of their palm - at the opponents leg joints including ankle, hip and knee. Staying steady and keeping a low center of gravity is key.o 10 posts; clan members learning this often wear heavy weights on their arms and legs to help build speed, endurence, and chakra strength. The member attempts to walk up walls, upside down, and over water.o 7 posts; repeatedly go over these steps - left jab, right jab, crouch, upper right jab, left jab, grab, spin, throw, stand, repeat.
Taijutsu Techiniques Acquired:o LowBlow - The user has learned to stay quick and low on their feet, making them able to perform hits that could shatter cartiledge if struck with enough force. The user also has an easier time of preventing themselves from being knocked off their feet.o QuickStep - The user has not only dramatically increased their speed but also muscle and cardio endurence as well as chakra control and strength.o ShowOff - You have learned your first Ousatsu attack. It not only stuns the opponent and greatly injures a leg joint but ultimately creates some distance from yourself and the enemy in order to attack with a ranged attack or to get away.}Noushi - Brain Death {A jutsu that requires the user to touch either the spine or head of the intended victim to take effect, the jutsu knocks out the victim.}Ninjouzata - Bloodshed {Requiring a drop of blood, the clan member can call forth from the victim up to three gashes to be inflicted on the victim. This is caused from their own blood though it cannot inflict any damage on major arteries.}Doushi - Kindred Soul {A healing jutsu that can the user can place on either themself or another. The person it is activated on will have their chakra and minor wounds restored by taking in the energy of the person closest to themself.}Anbu Ikkiichiyuu - Mixed Blessings {Upon reaching rank of Anbu, the clan member has their mask blessed by preists and further inscrisptions are writ upon it. This upgrade prevents all fire jutsu from harming the user as well as any genjutsu up to one rank below that clan member.}Ousatsu - Beating to Death [Taijutsu, Stage Four, Final] {In this stage, the clan member finally learns the devastating moves the fighting style is feared for.o Crusher - By slaming the user's hands on both sides of a joint, the joint is broken - shattered by the force behind the attack.o Blindsided - Using their increased speed, the user goes in for a strike at one side of the victim but appear instead to attack the enemy from behind, landing a blow to their back and sending the opponent flying forward.o RoughPlay - Charging and knocking the opponent onto their backs, the user sits themself on top and lands blows on the user's sides, aiming to break ribs with every shot put in. Avoid the face and arms, as the bones in the user's hand could break from the impact.o FoulPlay - Users of Ousatsu are never praised for fighting fair. This fighting position aims jabs at the neck, upper stomach (just below the ribcage) and lower stomach. This last area, if struck correctly with continuous downward jabs, can go on to crack the hip bone and disable the opponent. The neck can break the bone found there and prevent the opponent from breathing. Upper stomach will wind the opponent.o BreakANail - Jabs at the opponent's hands to break fingers, nails and even the whole hand. Requires precise accuracy with practice.o HeartStopper - After breaking through the opponent's guard, quick, short succession of jabs are directed at the opponent's chest, potentially stopping the victim's heart or cause a heart attack.o Final Blow - Powered with chakra, the user plants a single thrust into the opponent's chest. The chakra is passed onto the victim and explodes out away from the user, destroying the victim's innards, back, and spine, earning its name 'Final Blow'.}Namami - Flesh and Blood {A horrible and viscious jutsu, the user requires only a drop of blood from the enemy to unleash the attack. Almost literally summoning chucks of flesh from the enemy, using the enemies blood to cut through its owner's flesh to do so. Two chucks of flesh no bigger than the user's fist can be called off the victim per post though the jutsu may go on over several posts without having to be re-activated.}koumajutsu - Summoning Demons {Requiring the presence of dead animals - including humans - the user can summon the deceased to aid them in battle. As the creatures are already dead, they require complete destruction in order to be stopped as bones of different creatures can join together to replace lost bones and continue to fight. If a human is risen with still most of its flesh, they will be able to use all skills learned as a shinobi.}
