You would not believe your eyes If ten million fireflies Lit up the world as I fell asleep
'Cause they'd fill the open air And leave teardrops everywhere You'd think me rude But I would just stand and stare
I'd like to make myself believe That planet Earth turns slowly It's hard to say that I'd rather stay Awake when I'm asleep 'Cause everything is never as it seems
'Cause I'd get a thousand hugs From ten thousand lightning bugs As they tried to teach me how to dance
A foxtrot above my head A sock hop beneath my bed A disco ball is just hanging by a thread
I'd like to make myself believe That planet Earth turns slowly It's hard to say that I'd rather stay Awake when I'm asleep 'Cause everything is never as it seems When I fall asleep
Leave my door open just a crack (Please take me away from here) 'Cause I feel like such an insomniac (Please take me away from here) Why do I tire of counting sheep (Please take me away from here) When I'm far too tired to fall asleep
To ten million fireflies I'm weird 'cause I hate goodbyes I got misty eyes as they said farewell
But I'll know where several are If my dreams get real bizarre 'Cause I saved a few and I keep them in a jar
I'd like to make myself believe That planet Earth turns slowly It's hard to say that I'd rather stay Awake when I'm asleep 'Cause everything is never as it seems When I fall asleep
I'd like to make myself believe That planet Earth turns slowly It's hard to say that I'd rather stay Awake when I'm asleep 'Cause everything is never as it seems When I fall asleep
I'd like to make myself believe That planet earth turns slowly It's hard to say that I'd rather stay Awake when I'm asleep Because my dreams are bursting at the seams

Sitting alone high atop a snowy hill a light blue lioness sits watching all the goings on out below her, her purple eyes watching as each wintery creature skitters or hops around. Though she'd been alone for a very long time she did not mind it that much. If it got to her she would just sit up on the hill away from her cave and watch the other animals bound about. Mostly without thinking about it she raised one paw and reached out toward a fallen snow rabbit. But it got help from another and hurried off. She sighed softly, her breath showing in the chilly air as she pulled her paw back, holding it to her chest.

Atomi trudged through the snow with a huff, as one of his paws sunk into the snow up to his chin he grumbled under his breath. Shivering, he pulled his leg out and continued on his way, trying to find the path he had strayed from. He didn't really know where he was, and he wasn't sure if he was in territory that was hostile, but Atomi tried ducking underneath bushes or behind trees whenever possible. Feeling hungry, he spotted a couple of snow rabbits and lunged at them, only to miss and sink into the snow again up to his chin.

Pyry very nearly missed the male that was trying to walk in the thick snow. It wasn't that he blended in so much as she was caught up in heading back into her cave. Watching him leap for a rabbit only to miss caused a soft frown to form on her lips. Silently she leapt down from the cliff, her wings slowing the decent as she caught a fleeing rabbit under her weight by literally landing on it. Without a word she slit it's throat and carried it to him, nudging it toward him with her nose. For now she simply sat down, waiting to see if he'd take her offer or not.

Atomi pulled himself out of the snow and grumbled under his breath. He was strong, he could make it through this snow on his own and he could surely catch his own food too. Shocked, as he stared at the lioness with his jaw dropped open a few inches, he jumped back a foot. One second no one was there, and the next thing he knew, she appeared out of thin air! Eyeing her for a moment, he growled believing her to be another's mate and was trying to distract him from an ambush. But after a moment of silence, save for his growling at her, he found he was wrong and blushed from embarrassment. Some called it paranoia, but Atomi called it being safe. Giving an apologetic smile and dipping his head in thanks, he moved to snatch up the rabbit. Sinking his teeth into the warm flesh, he nearly purred. Atomi had gone a few days without food, and this was the first thing he'd eaten since trying to make the journey to his mother's sacred spot. Looking to the lioness, he sliced the rabbit in half and offered it to her, scooting one half toward her with one paw. "Um . . .Thank you," was all he said breaking the eerie silence that had befallen them. It was so quiet, he thought he had spoken too loud.

Pyry didn't mind him staring at her, nor did she move when he growled at her. It was a normal reaction to a lone lioness offering a kill to a male. She simply waited until he relaxed, watching him eat the kill. It shocked her when he pushed half of it toward her, though the only real way to tell she'd been surprised was how her eyes widened. She wasn't used to being given anything, in fact she'd never stayed this close to a male for this long a time before. But something about him kept her there. His words sent a blush across her cheeks, quite obvious considering her light complextion. "...You are welcome..." Her voice was very soft, suggesting she was a gentle soul. "...you looked...hungry..."
Without waiting for him to reply she got up and leapt at another rabbit, catching it by it's fluffy white tail. Silently she padded back over and offered it to him, knowing he must be very hungry. And besides, she'd eaten not long ago. "...help yourself..."

Atomi fluttered his wings at her blush. He'd never been around a female enough to actually speak more than two words before, so it was different this experience he was having now. But the blush was . . . cute. He caught his thoughts and stopped for a moment to back track, but kept quiet. Wiping off his mouth with the back of his paw, Atomi gave a charming smile and bowed. "I am . . . I know I've said it once before, but thank you."
He was surprised she caught him another one, and stared at her again for what seemed a long moment. "You're really good at catching them buggers . . . Do you uh . . . live here?" Atomi had been taught it was ungentlemanly to ask such a question, especially if the lioness wasn't his mate. But she seemed in tune somehow with her surroundings, he couldn't help but to be curious.
