The main town of Corneria. Surrounding the Flying Fortress, it sails high within the clouds. A nice, loud, and economic town. This is probably the biggest and most important place of the continent of Corneria. It houses shops, people, quests, and a well... That looks like there is something at interest at the bottom, but is in fact just an ordinary well. Most human adventurers who have made their home in this continent start out here.

Exiting the cabin would be a moogle who would smile as the air ship from Ivalice blasted through the clouds in the sky. The feeling of being this high up in the sky was something she couldn't exactly explain to some one else. Walking over to the railing of the air ship she would look down to see how far they were from the ground. "Kupo!" She stated with exclaim as she could see the city and castle Corneria in the distance. To think that Ivalice was once like this...It's amazing how technology can evolve in a certain place.

The Bangaa who was the captain of the ship would turn and smile as he noticed how interested she was with Corneria. "Aye, the air and breeze of thisss continent is as fresh as the skies of Ivalice!" He would let out a hearty laugh as he would continue to gloat about his home country. "Airships made of wood? Hahahahaha! Don't get me started! This baby here will out run them like no tomorrow! They would rather walk than try to fly after seeing this!"

The porky looking fellow the seeq who was a crew man walked out of the cabin chowing down on the ships food resource. A drumstick, he would wobble his way to the two while talking with his mouth full. "Hah! Capt'n, We should suggest the government back at ivalice to see if we can open up our own air ship engineering place here. We'll revolutionize the way this Corneria place sees air ships!"

Annia would turn with a slight frown on her face, she would walk over to the seeq and pat his belly a bit. "Kupo! No! That won't help at all. The way I see it, we should let them evolve in technology on their own. If we force them to adapt to our technology, they may...uh...feel like we're trying to take them over, kupo!" The thought was to help them, but not push their ways on them...the last thing they would want is to look like an empire trying to take over land and such.

"Now now, remember. People used to travel and spread word and wisdom to help others ya know? But once we get to the kingdom, we'll see what the Ambassador of Ivalice has to say, if they agree to the alliance then we may have a new job on our hands.." The bangaa thought it out and it seemed pretty fine and easy.

"On that note, kupo...Uh...what's our next destination after this?" Annia asked as she turned her head to the captain. "I was hoping to surprise you with this one, Annia. It's midgar. Not quite the continent but it's a damned high tech city, said to rival ours. The ambassador who was sent there never responded back, but his last message was nothing but shock at how much further and advanced they were in technology. After that he's gone missing, he probably rather live there than back home."

"You can't honestly believe that? *snort* If what ever thingymajigs he may have found was so good, he would surely have responded back...The name of that city does not sit well with me I tell you what. Sounds like a death trap, I say we bring armed forces with us."

"Then we would look like what? Sky Pirates trying to bomb their city? Give me a break..."

"Quit your bickering, kupo! We're here! Let's land! The sooner we get these supplies down the faster we can get to midgar!" Ignoring what the Seeq and Bangaa argued about, she couldn't just wait to visit Midgar! "Wait a minute! We'll have to stop at Corneria for a day though! It's getting a bit late and I think we should check around town after we drop off this package to see if there's an inn or something...I don't want to travel that late to a new place." Landing the Air ship,

"Fine Fine, Kupo! I'll get you two the package. I'll search around town for an Inn." With a rush, she would run into the storage cabin to get the supplies read for the Ambassador...it was a bit too heavy for her as she began to stumble around to finally drop it at the feet of the Seeq. "Don't hurt yourself Annia...We'll take care of this. You go and find some place to rest, don't get in trouble now!"

Nodding, she would jump off the railing of the airship and used her wings to slow her fall. "Kupo! All right! Just promise you won't take your time talking to the Ambassador!" Annia would say in a jokingly manner as if she scolded the two. Entering the town as the other two got ready to bring the remaining packages into the castle.

Upon entering the town she would ask around for directions, she got many odd looks from the citizens of Corneria. The guards thought she was a monster and held their swords pointed at her once she got into town, but upon showing the official documents of visitation she was allowed through. "Kupo...I can't help but fear how they will react to captain Monid and Daguza..." Along with the threat with the guards, the towns people thought she was a kid in a silly outfit resembling goblins in the forests outside of the city. She couldn't blame them...she did look odd, and luckly it takes a lot to anger Monid. Even if you called him a lizard, he would mainly forgive these people on their ignorance. Upon finding the damned inn, Annia would enter and pay for the three to stay at the inn.

Kicking off her shoes, she would choose a bed to stay in that felt the nicest for her. Upon finding it, she would climb it as if it was some mountain but none the less she succeeded in climbing it. "Kupo...So comfy..." Annia would sigh in relief as she removed the jeweled pendent from around her neck. Pressing a button, a slight sound of gears would sound as the jeweled part would open up like a hidden door to reveal a small photo of the Bangaa, Seeq and herself as children at an orphanage. They always took care of each other as if they were true siblings. Growing up to they still worked together in one of Ivalices biggest mercantile businesses, their company owned the fastest ship of Ivalice! Even beating the famous sky pirate Balthiers Strahl.

A warm soothing feeling would flow through her as the music played from the amulet always put her to ease. The amulet was a gift her two adopted brothers gave her, just in case something ever happened to them. They would always be with her and remembered. Even during hardships of work the three would make lyrics for the song that was on the pendant. Show would softly fall to sleep as the music continued to play in the inn room. An hour or so later, her brothers would enter the room to hear their music play and following the musical trail would be a moogle silently sleeping. The bangaa would nod as he walked over to Annia and tucked her in bed and closed the pendant. The seeq Brother would take the bed closest to the door while Annia had one closer to the window of the room. Monid the Bangaa couldn't exactly sleep well that night...what the Daguza said really got to him...for a captain to fear about flying some where new? The skies must have been telling him something...

"All right, guyssss wake up! Time to get back on board. We gotta make it to Midgar ASAP. We're gonna be the first to find Ivalices other ambassador there before any other guild or government official finds him. We need to get him some supplies also... Hopping up from bed, Annia would grab her shoes and other belongings and get ready. "Really? Already!? What time is it!? K-kupo! How quick will the trip be? How far is it and what time do we have to be there? Kupopo! I hope we aren't late!" "Annia! Cool down, you're worrying more than normal...We'll be there on time, i'm sure of it." Monid would already be on the ship getting it started as the other two would arrive on board.

"Kupopo! Onward to Midgar!" The moogle would point to the sky as things were going to be looking up from here on out.

"Monid, on a rough estimation. How long will it take us? I don't feel like waiting all day." The bangaa would ponder for a moment. The pace was obviously quite far away from Corneria and even if their ship was one of the fastest, it wasn't exactly warp speed. "Judging from the distance...nine hoursss or so? You best find something to occupy yourself for the time being Annia." "Very well, kupo. I'll uh..." The moogle looked around the ship...there wasn't very much she could do to occupy her time besides having a conversation with the two. "I knew we should have brought some books..."

"Ugh...One hour feels like forever, kupo! How can I wait out eight more hours!? I thought this was the fastest air ship in Ivalice!" Monid grumbled a bit at the impatient moogle. "Kupo? Monid, what did you say, kupo?" The Bangaa shook his head as he turned to Annia. "Nothing, nothing at all. A bit of patients would do you some good, Annia." The seeq would pick his head up from the book he was reading. "Hah! *snort* I'd rather wait forever before going to midgar."

"So...what happened at the castle while I was asleep, kupo?" Annia would ask as it seemed to go by without a problem. "They don't hate us right? No hard feelings between Corneria and Ivalice, kupo?" The Bangaa shook his head. "Went A-okay. Got a few odd stares here and there, but none the less it went rather well." The Seeq would add in his own few cents into the conversation. "Hah! *snort* That princess was checking us out like there was no tomorrow! Hahahahaa!" The bangaa shook his head at his foolishness. "Kupo! I guess we have a certain charm to us, don'tcha think, bro?"

"I bet you Midgar is nothing but a quantity of inferior tech that makes it look more advance than it really is..." With the ship on auto-pilot, the three would be sitting at a table in the cabin playing a card game as the ship made it's way to it's destination. "Kupo! That's just your jealousy talking! We'll have to see it first to believe it!" Annia would state as she slammed her last card onto the table. "Hey...that's cheating..." The seeq said quietly as the other two continued to ramble on about their destination. "Believe it when I see it? My own sense tells me other wise...Haven't been wrong trusting it for all these years!"

Five hours into the trip to Midgar, Annia Leradine was asleep at the game table. With here arms folded below her head acting like a pillow, she would drool a bit on the cards she was currently playing and for a moogle she snored quite a bit. None the less, this was time for some serious talk between the two. "So...I have a hunch that you're also doubting Midgar like I did yesterday?" The Bangaa would give a simple nod to the seeq. "Annia is rather optimistic when it comes to this kind of stuff, but sometimes that could be the greatest down fall in my eyes." The Seeq would frown a bit as he crossed his arms and thought about what he would do in this situation. "Honestly, If I was in your shoes, I would of just have some one from midgar visit us for the supplies...heh.."

"Nah...I would have still gone. Just didn't want Annia to come with us in the first place." The Bangaa would look over at the sleeping moogle and smiled. "Somethin about her tantrum that just makes you fall into her grasp. She's been waiting for this trip for ages and once she heard me say that I couldn't take her with us, she gave that pout and doing work all silent like...It ain't like her to do that which gets to you." The Seeq laughed like there was no tomorrow, he couldn't believe the way they were talking. "C'mon! The way we're talking is like we know something's gonna happen. Quit that crap out before something really happens to us!"

The conversation was cut short by a knocking at the door. Yep, a few thousand feet in the air, there was someone casually knocking on the portside door to the aircraft. It was a rhythmic sound, one that played every so often just like one would expect a regular knocking on their door to commence.

The sound, however, was followed my a rather unsetteling screech of the highest pitch. Fine cracks would appear in the windows surrounding the vessel but none would shatter, ship glass was always more sturdy than regular.

Through one of the ports, the men would be able to see it. There was a large bird flw alongside the ship that easily outstretched the plane. Around it were several smaller creatures that the men would know quite well. In ivalice, a brand of monster had ben discovered that had a taste for Moogle Pom Pom. The Pom Foul, as they were called, had only been seen in Ivalice but reports were that these creatures would follow a moogle for miles just to snap off it's trusty pom pom... and most times its head with it.

The larger bird, the Roc, had no such distinction for moogles but rather had a more interesting taste. The smell and flavor of ship oil was more to it's liking. Thus, the two were a deadly combination to any that flew the airs of Ivalice. However, they are an old threat and thus several measures were taken within the boarder to destroy the things but ouside... well there wasn't much to be done.

Knocking? The hell? There's no one else on board than the three of em...Pirates maybe? Most definitely pirates, they're the only ones who could reach them up here. The Bangaa and Seeq gave each other a odd and confused stare as they thought they were crazy after hearing a knock on the door. The Seeq would unsheath his sword and gave a smile as he walked towards the door. "Don't worry, We'll let you in! Fancy a cup of tea? Eh stranger?" As a rude response, the unknown guest of the ship would give a really high pitched, ear antagonizing screech that would have the Bangaa and Seeq covering their ears in pain.

After his ears stopped ringing, the seeq would hear the windows crack and would see that their welcomed guests were none other than monsters who welcomed a nice in flight meal that was of the highest quality."Hah! Well s**t, would you look at that! Worrying about Midgar and we forgot about monsters who would love to have a dish of bacon and a side order of lizard!" The Seeq would laugh, not due to the situation at hand being funny, but the fact that they were worried over superstitious crap that they were making up. "Roc and Pom fouls? Have to say that nothing ever matched up to this. The city wasn't what we had to worry about, it was the creatures that would stand in our way."

"Damn it...I hate to say this but we may be done for." The Bangaa thought hard about this. How can they get passed this? Auto pilot was set for full speed, if these monsters could keep up with them then it may be impossible to out run them. Hell! He couldn't even get a rest to think about what to do as he saw the Pom Fouls. "Poor Annia..." The last thing he would want is to give her a heart attack by waking her up and telling her that they were under attack and the main food course they were looking for was in fact you and your pom pom. "We better hurry and think of a plan. We may be able to keep away from the Pom fouls but that roc...well...it's out of our league."

"Daguza, take Annia to the Emergency Escape Pod, I need you two to escape and try your best to find shelter after you two land." The Bangaa stared outside the window to watch the enemy air fleet that was only organized by nature itself. "Quit with these heroic acts...We're not gonna fall this easily. Listen, fire the emergency flares. Some one will see then and hopefully it'll scare away these pests! If it does I'll try to take on the ones on board." The Bangaa grinned, it's amazing how Seeqs could be so smart but yet look so damned stupid at times. He would move down to the lower levels of the ship and grabbed the flare ammo, sadly this wasn't an ultimate spell that could destroy these monsters in a blast. There were five high tec cannons ready to blast a hole in these creatures, bad part was that they were quite low on primary ammo and these flares which never seemed to be used out numbered the needed ammo. Loading the flares into the cannons, the bangaa would fire them to the Roc and Pom fouls hopefully scaring them away.

[yep, my post will be the last one here, you can do your responds in midgar and tell gig to be on the lookout for falling chicken. ]

That smell, that sweet, suculant smell of a young pom pom in its prime would begin to drive the birds insane. A series of squaks and cries would fill the air, seeping in through the cracks now present in just about every window on the ship. The thing was, the pom foul weren't stupid. They knew that, besides a few shreaks, they couldn't do a damn thing against the haul of the ship. To be perfectly honest, if it weren't for the Roc that constantly traveled with these birds, most ships wouldn't have anything to worry about except a few headachs and a few pieces of broken glass.

However the Roc... wait, where was the Roc? He no longer resided on the side of the ship. A deep bulk would appear on the top of the ship, crushing it in a bit... he had landed on the top. A great shreak akin to a howl would leave it's jagged beak before it began to peck and pierce into the ships haul, looking for the sweet oil it so craved. Interestingly enough, this left it a sitting duck for anything that tried to shoot it, even something as simple as a flair shot.

Big flaming birds prroooooobably make better signals than a simple puny gunshot.
