My first question is crude one because I'm totally juvenile.
But when thew starlights are gender switching are they anatomically correct? Iknow they don't have breasts, but what about everything else, externally or internally? Would all those fanfics with seiya and usagi really work out?
And if they are wouldn't that be sort of...stressful for them? Do they feel weird about using the men's room or changing in a locker room with men when they're really women in disguise?
While I'm on the subject of bathrooms, do the sailor senshi just have to hold it when they're transformed? Their costumes are magically appearing so I have to think they're pretty much molded on and don't have zippers or anything.
Those are just my inappropriate ponderings...

I was just considering the issue of Pluto the other day. Now that Pluto isn't a planet where does that leave poor Sailor Pluto? I mean is she now "Sailor floating hunk of space rock of indeterminate origin"?
Because I imagine that would be really difficult to yell out when she needs to henshin.
And even if she gets to retain the name pluto, does invoking "planet power" do nothing for her?
Sailor Moon is full of mysteries.

Anyone else notice how the cats are constantly changing sizes, sometimes they're shoulder sized, sometimes they're roughly hand sized, and sometimes they're average cat sized.
Is it magic or animation inconsistency?

Let's give this thread a little bit of focus for the moment.
What's the strangest Sailor Moon item you've seen available?
I know there were several food items (ice cream, spaghetti-o type things, etc.) by the sailor moon branded rice seasoning packets just seem to be an especially weird thing for me.
But perhaps it's cultural thing, and in Japan all their rice seasonings are character branded.

I posted this in another guild, but it's worth mentioning here. In the awful English dub why do the voice actresses take so much time to say their attack and Henshin phrases? The girls aren't really talking there, why bother drawing it out so awkwardly?
The voice actress for Mars is especially bad in this respect.

I'm totally dating myself here but I was an adult already when Sailor Moon came out. I was already a college graduate a few years in the work force in 1995. 3nodding I hated Sailor Moon when I first saw it but then it grew on me. The next thing I knew, I was collecting stuff from it. LadyBuggington Those are just my inappropriate ponderings... Your ponderings crack me up! blaugh

emosgirl I've only ever watched Sailor Moon in English. Well, except I did finally just watch the 5th season, which will never make US shores due to the uterus attack. rofl However, I can say it's the director's call on how the voice actors act. There have been massive improvements in US VAs in the past 15 years. wink I always thought it was weird the US Voice acting seemed to have gotten worse in the 90'. Dubs from the 70's and 80's didn't seem nearly as bad to me. I agree though that they are so much better these days. At least from the few dubs I've tried. I pretty much watch everything in Japanese if possible these days.
