Thursday, June 3rd 2010 Announcement 5
Updates -The guild has left it's hibernation state, again returning to active duties.
-Every unit is Technically a "Marine", although each unit preforms their individual acts.
-"Army" and "Marines" were removed and are now replaced by "Mechanized" and "Infantry" branches.
-"Special Forces" or "SOCOM" was removed as a branch and was instead replaced by an integrated unit area.
-Each branch has it's own Special Forces unit, each one with it's own particular "Infantry" styled unit as well (although this wasn't particularly planned)
-An officers training quarter has/is going to be set up, in order to allow for better officers training and a more objective set-up and separation between normal units and officers (Commissioned officers, that is.)
-Single unit positions and vehicles have been added to all branches, to allow anyone, even those without a large group backing them, to preform basic objectives.
-All armories have been updated, in order to provide more and updated variants of weapons, vehicles, and other devices to be used.
-Objective goals, along with some of the basic organization, has been restructured and reevaluated in order to provide a better system of organization and efficiency.
-A more realistic style of roleplay and back story has been added to more accurately define the reasons for specific fighting patterns (such as the specific and heavy use of infantry rather than large scale technological forces).
-A change in budget projection has been oriented, to limit the over-all weapons capacity that the military units can acquire and exploit.
-An estimated military strength and size has been estimated and officially determined, with roughly 1 million units serving in the military, 500,000 of which are combat operatives, and 200,000 of which are on or will be asked to be on active duty and expected to preform military oriented tasks.
-The scope of battlefields has been changed, in the same concept of "Flexible Response", in order for battlefield engagements consisting of a small amount of soldiers to appear realistic, and so that small incursions into specific Territories will not be met will "All-out War".
-Performance in a large amount of small scale battles and skirmishes will be expected, similar in activities to that of the colonial age of the British and French, in which all out war or use of atomic weapons will be forbidden in hopes of "conventional warfare".
-Plot and unit reorginzations have been implemented to provide a better roleplay structure.
-More roleplays, classes, and objectives have been set-up and expected to be administered, to keep up activity and provide more roleplay opportunities, as well as in depth training.
-More, and more in depth battlegrounds are expected to be implemented and created.
-Active recruit for officers and Drill sergeants is currently in effect.
