I've looked on a few other sites but havnt found the answer or half answers. do flowers help grow back grass/snow in the winter? over the summer I wasnt very successful in growing grass in a few places and now have spotty patches of snow. If I keep flowers up with it get better or does that only work for the green grass.

Yes, flowers help grow back grass all year round. Trees help alot too(: But you must be patient. Grass doesn't grow back overnight.
You could time travel also to get your grass back. Just load your game, and as soon as your able to save, do it. Then TT a day forward and load the game. Save it, and repeat the process until your grass is grown back again(: DO NOT MOVE YOUR CHARACTER IN THE PROCESS! It'll ruin growth for whatever spot you step on.
