Loamhill: The Rising Jewel in the Rough

Loamhill is the town on the eastern border of Cyrodiil, founded by a Redguard known only as Cyrus. Well, Prince or Mayor Cyrus really, but still. It's a rough sort of place, at least to the average personage, but at the same time it is a wonderful ideal coming together.

Loamhill is the product of adventurers. It is formed of the bravest in the land (whether or not they realise it, perhaps, is another matter). A ramshackle town of various regional styles and beliefs, there is a general acceptance of "agreeing to disagree" found in few other places in Tamriel. Slowly, it has begun to attract more and more people. In the floundering of a dying empire, some have whispered that Loamhill will be the next great center of civilization.

Of course, others think it's just a bunch of dirty mongrels banding together to slaver over gold. Maybe they're both right.

Either way, Cyrus does his best to keep the order - and that's good, too, with all these strange "mysterious dungeons" popping up on the landscape. The death of the Third Era seems to have unstabilized the land, with magical ruins, grottoes, cave, and more appearing ... only to disappear shortly afterward. So far he's doing a pretty good job.

These are the official services that can be found in Loamhill:

The Tired Dragon (NPC; Two-Story House): The Tired Dragon is run by one Marcus Telius, an Imperial looking to find somewhere more stable than the crumbling Imperial City. He charges a modest fee for lodging, finding himself packed with the richer adventurers. Lately though he's been giving rooms to the highest bidder, since there's more and more gold to go around and less and less space.

The Dragon features five rooms, each with bunks, such that he has fifteen beds to rent out. He also offers a suite for the finest of the fine, located in the attic. His own lodging is in the basement, along with the storage area.

A Nord woman, Rejil the Flame-Hair, serves a variety of ales and stews to patrons, three times a day. Her massive enchanted claymore, Drengiltharn, is more than enough to keep these patrons from being too rowdy.

Glittering Coin Trading Post (NPC; House): The Glittering Coin is a popular spot for adventurers; the proprietors, Serves-the-Moon and Lost-Tail, offer a variety of mundane goods for the local adventurers. Everything from low quality armor, replacement clothes, food, and alchemy ingredients - you want it, the Argonian brothers at the Coin have it.

Every two weeks, a caravan comes bringing their goods. Would be marauders should be warned, however; the Argonians' blood-clan guard the precious load, and they're not to be trifled with.
