Please only post if you have a dragon from the song clutch.

Half a turn has gone by ICly (six months-ish) since your Weyrlings Impressed. This means things have happened. So, what you put here:

- Anything you feel your fellow Weyrlings should know about your rider / dragon, including but not limited to: how relationships with other clutchmatesh ave changed, what they've been doing, how they're now behaving in Weyrling lessons, etc. (If you want a dragon that's extremely rebellious all the time in his lessons, this needs to be discussed with staff. ONE DOES NOT SIMPLY MISBEHAVE IN WEYRLING LESSONS. *shot*)

- Anything you feel NON-riders should know about your rider/dragon. (If Desuth leers at everyone every time he walks by them, this is the kind of thing we mean.)

By putting this information here, you are giving people permission to know / assume it IC. Do NOT put OOC speculation here, just IC fact or IC gossip.

Yes: Uuni is sleeping with the Weyrleader after every lesson. (This is not a fact but let's assume it is.)

Also Yes: Uuni always leaves the Weyrling lessons with the Weyrleader, so feel free to assume something is going on!

No: Uuni could be sleeping with the Weyrleader, but she's so discreet about it no one suspects a thing!

Amelia's been working her butt off at trying to catch-up with knowing the Weyr and getting the Weyr to know her. It's been a bit of a double edged sword since she and Sharath are still feeling each other and the gold's, well, high strung on being the Queen. The goldrider's earnest, most of the time, but can be prone to being scatterbrained simply because of the amount of work she has going - it's not uncommon for her to flit from one thing to another.

Amelia stops to chat as she can and tries to resolve resoundingly public mishaps. Among the most noteable instances of her and Sharath getting themselves in hot water are: the incident during the ORP Lesson where Sharath and Amelia spoke against R'ysan and in favour of the Weyrleader; and where Uuni and Makereth tried to pull a prank on Sharath and Amelia but it... blew up and Sharath (still) believes that Makereth tried to poison hers. They've since worked it out... but Sharath's blow up was something of a spectacle.

Otherwise, other assumptions can include a general attempt at being a decent goldrider, though her ability to lead is still very much in the fledgling stage. Amelia's willing to speak to everyone and anyone and is sometimes troubled when her rank outweighs her friendliness. It's probably also well known she is slowly learning to get a handle on Sharath and while Sharath seems to be 'toning her attitude down', she's still very much Sharath the Gold.

Oh, the nicknames Goldy and Numb Queen Sharath, and Tingletongue really really annoy Sharath - for reason relating to her more public outbursts.

Amelia has also acquired 5 flits, one of each colour, and always seems to be returning items her blue has pinched. Again, she's training the blue but the going's slow.

As far as friends go, she's taken to talking to J'lin a lot, and is on friendly terms with R'ysan. Amelia says Uuni's her friend but they're rarely seen together. She's also been seen with B'shir and asking advice of the older riders. Over all, however, it doesn't seem like she's favouring any one person over another or that she has a core group of friends.

Amelia and Sharath are also frequently seen with the Weyrwoman for their private lessons but it's not hidden that she likes to know what goes on in the normal lessons as well.

Specifically for Sharath... she's able to separate rider and dragon and considers them individuals for whatever's going on. She can be mad at one but not the other. Her haughtiness hasn't really subsided and she's definitely still as ambitious as ever - her goal to lead is well known by now, but her tendency to expect such a thing to just happen is probably also rather infamous. Still, as long as no one tries to insult Hers or insinuate a Weyr won't be hers, she's generally a decently well-behaved presence.

When Sharath has a fit, it's not uncommon for Amelia to use both mental communication and physicality to get her dragon to pay more attention to her then the current target as a means of neutralizing the situation. It works fairly well.

Quote:
Summary: Amelia's a good natured person, if a little lost the whole 'be a goldrider!' thing and is trying to live up to the responsibility of the rank. She doesn't seem the type to abuse her position but she's also still not a genius about such matters - aka, she's still learning.

Sharath, is well, Sharath. She's getting better and there has been improvement since her hatching but she's still passionate and still ambitious. She does not discriminate between colours and does not use her authority overly often. It should be plain, at this point, she has a huge amount of potential - if Amelia can help her dragon acheive that potential.

Also, Sharath is now more or less half-grown. She's larger then the adult greens and blues, probably about comparable to a brown. She's very much showing the size of her colour - though her growth will slow down in later adolescence and her small size for a gold will be more apparent.

B'shir has come to accept that Impressing Sakneth has placed him in an authority position. When their lessons are broken into smaller groups to practice formation drills he is able to lead competently, though he is still an unimaginative leader and doesn't perform as well when asked to deal with unexpected scenarios. When broken up for drills, Sakneth is commanding and confident even when he's one hundred percent mistaken. His excuse is that the people following him should have questioned anything they thought was a bad decision, though he hates to have his ideas brought into question.

The way drills go for them, B'shir is able to take advantage of Sakneth's silver tongue and deliver the compliments Sakneth might have said if he chose to lead through encouraging. Both he and Sakneth are capable of being highly critical, but it's fallen to Sakneth to play the bad cop, as it were, and he's all right with that because he feels anyone can make up a compliment, but it takes a real man who's not afraid of anything to tell people things they don't want to hear.

It almost goes without saying that B'shir and Sakneth attend every lesson: B'shir feels duty-bound to do so and Sakneth likes to show off. B'shir can also be found practicing whenever he has a spare moment, and trying (unsuccessfully) to force himself to be more creative.

Although it would seem to an outsider that B'shir and Sakneth have learned to work together, the fact of the matter is that it remains a power struggle. B'shir doesn't trust his dragon not to do something unforgivable and Sakneth doesn't trust B'shir not to do something stupid. Most of the time B'shir is able to impose his will over Sakneth's, but there are occasions where B'shir loses that struggle. Both rider and dragon are aware, however, that it would look bad for both of them if they were seen to be struggling for dominance, and so no matter who wins the other goes along with it until they can assert their own dominance once more, or in another area.

Sakneth remains a misogynist, but as he's grown older he's come to the conclusion that there is at least one purpose for females: making babies. Thus, he has very little respect for green dragons in particular. Reacting to his dragon's harsh attitude toward greens and similarly useless (i.e. unable to breed) females, B'shir has become more friendly toward women in general. The only females worth Sharath's while are gold, and he is always pleasant toward them, even when they are infuriating, as he often finds Sharath, though he is coming to appreciate her ambition. As for the other colors, he continues to to view them as lesser beings, but B'shir is able to keep that from becoming too apparent. Sakneth continues to hate Teharth, and B'shir just does what he can to keep them separate.

Other Song Clutch Members: Although she was frequently in them early on in weyrlinghood, lately Uuni has been in the weyrling barracks as little as possible, especially if Amelia and Gold Sharath are nearby.

Makereth has tried to pull a prank on you at least once. It is never anything harmful and it is never the same prank twice. Janga and Jou: you are Makereth's target for very bad puns and jokes.

Maybe she's not sleeping with him, but now that Makereth is old enough Uuni's definitely been hitting on the Weyrleader the last couple of lessons. And she doesn't feel the need to be sly; obvious Uuni is obvious.

Everyone: Both Uuni and Makereth have pulled one over on Sharath and Amelia. If you're in the weyrling barracks Makereth has told you. He also requests you call her names like, "Numb Queen Sharath" or "Tingletongue".

Uuni's probably tried to flirt with everyone at least once, more subtly than with the Weyrleader. It probably came off as being overly friendly. If anyone has talked to her, she's nice enough. If you've asked her out to lunch or klah or other social time, she's now avoiding you. If you think you're friends with her, she won't deny it in your face, but she sure as heck isn't going to confirm it: also, she's really avoiding you now.

The only exception to the directly above are Ayishia and Ptoth because they bunk so close to Uuni and Makereth. Uuni still flirted in the beginning, but she's mostly over that and onto general conversation; she won't avoid you. Makereth really enjoys hiding your shoes.

If your name is Kesslan: Uuni and Makereth spent quite a lot of time with you until recently, and now Uuni's avoiding you like the plague.

If your name is Avery: Uuni finds really lame excuses to see you every sevenday or every other sevenday. Usually, it's along the lines of Makereth's being lonely (Uuni lies poorly). Yes, she looks at you a little too long, but what else is new?

General Habits: Uuni's schedule has turned as nocturnal as she can make it; she also sleeps little, or, so it seems.

If you have a big dragon, Uuni is still afraid of it, but is better. She won't get within a hundred feet of a gold if she can avoid it. She's around bronzes only for the sake of hitting on the Weyrleader; browns are okay.

Makereth loves who you are still, even if you hate him. He doesn't goof off in lessons anymore.

While it would be true to say that the blue is better, one still has to remember that this is Jounoth you're dealing with. To say that he's "better" is equivalent to saying that getting shot is "better" than drowning. His improvements only go so far.

He no longer wears leg restraints, though this is mostly because it's too expensive to keep making them as he grows larger. Instead, he wears a metal 'muzzle', which fits snuggly around his snout and can be tightened and loosened as his rider sees fit. The only time it is loose enough for him to open his mouth is during feeding time. All dragons are advised to avoid the feeding pens when Jounoth is eating, especially the younger dragons, as his unpredictability makes it hard to know what he will do if he feels threatened. So far, only one or two greens have been able to eat with him, provided that they stay away from his rider. (Open to IC-volunteers if anyone wants <3)

During lessons, he and Janga tend to remain near D'astel at all times, with Jounoth's body always between his rider and everyone else. He rarely speaks to anyone, even the friendliest of his clutch, but at least he has stopped snarling at everyone who goes by. Anyone who approaches Janga, however, will find themselves meeting a very aggressive guard dog. Though he cannot harm any humans, that does not stop him from trying to make himself as big and as threatening as possible.

He appears to be minutely more tolerant of the greens of his clutch, though they might just always catch him on a good day. Jounoth has a hard time separating rider and dragon pairs, and will often attribute the actions of one half to the group itself. For example, he thinks that UuniMakereth needs to stop pranking him and His or he will leave guts on your bed.

The pair still lives in the isolation rooms.

Janga has appointed herself class representative, in the worst way possible. Late for lessons? Guess who's going to be counting while you do your push-ups. Rumour has it you snuck out of the barracks last night? Guess who told D'astel. She may not be the gold rider of the group but she has no problems asserting her authority. As far as she's concerned, she was given this position by D'astel, even though it was only a way to try and keep Jounoth from harming the other dragons. It was her job to weed out the weakest links among the candidates (even though it was self-appointed) and she sees no reason to stop that kind of behaviour now.

She has certainly not made the effort to be friendly to any of her fellow riders, but she seems to favour (or at the very least, be more tolerant on) those who are hard-working.

Ayishia and Ptoth are sort of loners in terms of their relations with the other riders. Ayi's tendancy to nark and to play the busybody hasn't really helped win her many friends, though she has started to curb it somewhat as she's come to realize there are times when tattling isn't necessary and is counterproductive. She has better relations with non-riders, mostly those whom she used to work with on chores before she was a rider as well as some of the non-impressing Candidates from her Impression. When she's not taking care of Ptoth, she's probably looking for a chore or two to do in her own living space or in the kitchens, regardless if she ought to be doing it or not.

Ptoth has retained some of his hatchling clumsiness and inability to focus on a task unless his rider constantly reminds him to pay attention to what he's doing (these go hand in hand most often and rarely for any good results). He also is still somewhat of a whiner when his sensitive nature is offended, though it has gotten better. He, on average, avoids contact with male dragons only because he feels somewhat intimidated and worried they might fly off the handle over any little thing. The exception to this is Makereth, whom he regards as his closest male dragon 'friend'. He has assisted in small feats of mischief but hasn't gotten enough gall to do anything really extreme.

B'ram and Nachith are...well, the same as ever. B'ram tries to be friends with everyone - except Janga, who's scary - and flirts with any of the girls who seem receptive (again, except Janga, who is too scary to really be a girl).

Nachith continues to try and charm all the greens - except Deprith, who is still scary - and has recently moved his focus away from Lofrewth and onto Regedth, much to B'ram's chagrin. Unlike when Nachith's target was Lofrewth, B'ram is Not Okay with this one, and will constantly apologize for his dragon's interest...presumably because her rider is male. He'd much prefer it if Nachith would stick to the greens with female riders, please.

In lessons, Nachith is constantly distracted by his green clutchmates, and will happily be a chatty distraction to any of the friendlier dragons. However, he will ignore Deprith and the browns whenever possible.

If Awunrayth were not such a sweet, biddable green, Rieta would be in trouble. At this point, all the weyrlings should be pretty aware of the fact that Rieta is just pathetically incapable of saying no to her dragon. Instead, it's usually Awunrayth who calls the shots (in a sweet, patient, loving way) and Rieta who rushes to obey.

As a result of this, Rieta has at least seemingly calmed a bit. While she's still loud, she's a bit less pushy about her presence as Awunrayth is always there in her head warning her when she's making others uncomfortable. From always looking for something to do, she's become prone to seeking silent moments for just her and her dragon. Even so, she's still quick to offer help when she thinks others need it and she still gives unsolicited advice, she just doesn't push quite so hard about it.

Awunrayth, unlike Rieta, has hardly changed at all since hatching. She's sweet, patient, and affectionate to any dragon or human that catches her attention. She's not shy about speaking to people other than Rieta, either, so it's not unlikely that some have spoken to her directly. To some, she might come off lazy, because she certainly doesn't seem to see any need to rush or compete. While she might not be friends with all her clutchmates, she nonetheless does her best to only say nice things about them either in their presence and out. Negative talk makes her uncomfortable and she isn't afraid to scold those who indulge in it around her. For this reason, she prefers to spend her time among those among her clutchmates that avoid taking a negative view of things.

During lessons, Awunrayth struggles a bit, especially during drills. Admittedly, it doesn't seem to bother her much. She's easily distracted by the lives of those around her and has a hard time placing the practice before her interest in offering support and council. She is, however, very quick to encourage the others should they seem to get discouraged.

Zia has volunteered to help anyone that seems like they might need help, she will have done other's chores if asked. (If your character needs a BFF I'm willing to volunteer Zia, she can either be pushed around by your character or

During lessons she's probably talking or constantly fidgeting to stop herself from talking. She needs some slight nudging to pay attention and if given a direct order she may or may not ask/need further instruction.

Redfith is constantly appearing to be happy and attentive in class. She feels very sorry Jounoth and doesn't quite understand why he is the way he is. She feels she is EVERYONE's friend, she doesn't see color/class when speaking to anyone. She likes to be near Sharath - and will be the first to jump to doing anything the gold requests.

Overview of things seen about R'ysan and Reg:

Ry'san...well he's a rough one and probably always will be. Trouble follows him and he never seems afraid of it when it does. He comes to lessons...usually early surprisingly enough! He will participate even seems to have good knowledge of the topics so obviously he does study to a degree. He's also very interested in the physical workouts and if seen alone he practices frequently honing his skills of combat with vigor.

He does occassionally get into trouble in lessons because his sharp tongue does get the better of him and if he is asked for an honest answer about something, he'll give it straight up without any candy coating. This can be a problem when one is not prepared for his response. He's not afraid to speak his mind. If anything, people know where they stand with him...good or bad. He hasn't made many friends but that really doesn't seem to bother him.

As for he and Regedth, the young man is forever cursed by the sock monster. She's one materialistic dragon that loves toys of her own and human things. She swipes socks and stretches them till they almost explode into shreds off her head knobs nowadays. And for anyone else to grin about, Ry'san has been seen commissioning a woman to knit a pair big enough for his dragon's head knobs.

The two of them seem to get their hard knocks together. Reg follows him around like a best friend and in lessons its always a bit of a challenge for Ry'san to get her to perform but over time he's seem to have learned a trick or two.

At the end of 6 months, she's willing to play games (lessons or drills) for compensation...or fun later. And she doesn't want Ry'san to leave her behind on exercise when she thinks that he's going to out do her. Needless to say this has made her a sleeker, agile green trying to match her physically fit rider. Flight is a very important thing to the two of them...and Reg will say often how she can't wait to adventure outside the Weyr with R'ysan.

Reg still wants to walk through human spaces and see what humans do like a curious kid. Stick her nose in and adventure. If she were a bigger dragon, it would be like watching an ant farm with all sorts of wide-eyed eagerness.

Other Song Clutch Members:

(OOC NOTE: Since it is 6 months, I am basing some of his attitudes on what others have put into their posts in this thread since it is open knowledge here. So I am sure it could add to RP.)

R'ysan doesn't jump in straight into the gossip mill looking for rumors and well, those that throw rumors at him generally will find him unimpressed or laughing at what the wind has blown in.

As far as Amelia, he seems to be a bit more 'considerate'. He doesn't appear to be as harsh on Goldy but even at this stage he's still willing to speak his mind to Sharath. He just seems more 'selective' about it. As for the reasoning behind this, he doesn't ever answer but it does appear that there is a certain amount of respect he has for Amelia.

He's been amused by Makereth's pranks and finds Uuni's flirtations enough to bring a smile to his face.

As far as Jounoth, he seems to take an interested but for what reason is anyone's guess. Although he never approaches the dragon he watches from afar. However, with Janga, self-appointment isn't something that gets his respect and to him, she has no authority and he's not afraid to face off with her to tell her either.

From Regedth side, well, so far its easy to see that she is willing to let Ry'san take the lead on most of these things but she's is usually friendlier to others. Although she tends to avoid Sakneth and is very charmed by Nachith and is content to snuggle up to him when they're sitting at Weyrling lessons. R'ysan seems to find the matter most amusing and well, he calls Nachith, Reg's first crush. He takes in each one of B'rams apologies with a smile...B'ram never seems to capture R'ysan's ire like others might.
