In the time of dragons and magic, dragons were thought to be live-stock eating monsters that breathe fire. To kill a dragon, was a high honor and prize. Your strength would be known throughout the world, and while all this is true, the dragons continued to remain elusive to everyone. How can such a giant creature hide, you ask? Well my friend, they hide among us…
For centuries dragons have hid among humans, living their own lives daily, pursuing their dreams and traveling the world, hiding from the hunters that wish to claim their hides and bones as prizes.

It isn't simply their hides and bones that are sought out in truth. A secret that the hunters know is this; if you slay a dragon and the first drop of their blood spills upon you, you gain immortality. That isn't all either, you also gain their resistance to being killed. Anyone wouldn't mind being almost completely resistant to death. However, every advantage does have a weakness. If you slay a dark dragon and gain this immortality, if light magic or items are used against you, you can be killed. Those who have this special immortality are marked by a gem that will reflect the element of the dragon killed. Fire=Ruby/Garnet, Water/Ice=Sapphire, Light/Electricity=Opal/Diamond, and Shadow/Darkness=Ebony/Hematite.

However, those that are killed, are those that were only too weak, or let their secret out. You see, there is only one way to find a dragon in hiding, besides following them until they change forms. It is a tattoo of a dragon on their backs in their human forms. The tattoo varies on type of dragon, but it is always there and the dragons would guard that secret with their lives, because their lives do in fact, depend on it.

Bio: Shalrien was born in the mountains, the youngest of a clutch of three. When she was about two, she was able to fly. Excited, she left the nest early one morning to practice her flying. By nightfall when she had returned, she found her entire family had been slaughtered. She lived solely as a dragon for the next eighteen years, studying the humans in the meantime. When she was twenty years of age, she had enough magic to change into a human form. She kept in touch with other dragons, but lived as a human, exploring the world and finding Hunters so she could warn other dragons about what the hunters look like. Shalrien always stayed on the move, only returning to villages after a hundred years had passed since her last visit.When Shalrien was younger, she fell in love and she and her mate had a hatchling. A hunter found out her secret and killed her mate and child and, Shalrien went into hiding in her dragon form for a few centuries. Recently she has gone back to the villages and hidden in her human form, careful to make sure she doesn't show her ridiculously large tattoo.

Does the character hide his/her true opinions and emotions from others?: Erm.... Sometimes? She tries to follow Alden's lead and be civil to everyone, but it's hard for her to if someone is especially annoying. So she ends up being not as easily sociable as her brother.
Weapons: She has twin engraved swords and a few hidden daggers. She also uses a Yari spear, however it also has two blades extending horizontally besides the main blade. Thus they form a sort of "T" shape.

Bio: Leon use to be a proud hit-man and bounty hunter. Until now he had been making decent amount of money. But now there is market for dragons. Dragon are more valuable the diamonds but also a lot harder to find let alone catch. Leon however is no to be underestimated as just another gun in search for riches. He also makes his own weapons and has experience in the job.

Amaya yawned as she stretched out in the cool, early morning air. The crisp air hit her lungs and the woman smiled. It felt nice, everything still smelling new. She loved days like this. Though hunters were always looking for her and her kin, the dragon felt confident. After all, Amaya was over one thousand years old. Still, the female would not let her success so far get to her head. That was how her brethren were slaughtered. They got lazy and cocky. After seeing what happened to her family so many years ago, Amaya had no desire to have that happen to her. She desperately wanted to fly, but she knew she couldn't risk herself like that. Dragons could just change forms whenever they wanted. It was imperative that there was no one around who could probably see their secret. She'd go some other time. With her desires out of the way and shoved back into place, Amaya headed towards the village to get something to eat.

After straightening from leaning over the boy to check his elbow, Alden smiled softly to his mother who was in the room. "He should be fine. It's just a badly bruised elbow. He shouldn't use it if he can help it for a while. Say.... two weeks. I'd also keep it in a sling. After that he'll be able to use it just fine." He told the woman, going over to one cabinet to find the slings he kept there, trying one on the boy, glad to see his approximation had been accurate. He helped the boy get it on, taking the payment from the woman before she left.

Yawning, he stretched, glancing around his clinic with a frown. "Ah hell... I just hope she doesn't get into trouble." He muttered, shaking his head, sitting down at a table to mix some more herbs The curtains were closed to the front of the store, still being mindful of being potentially seen as he used his water bending abilities to help him make the different remedies.

It had grown quiet in the tavern as the two stared at each other intently from across the table. There were multiple shot glasses strewn across the surface, all empty and all turned over except for the ones in front of the competitors. Nicole smirked as she picked up the shot glass and took her time getting there, downing it's contents before turning it over and placing it down on the table. Then she tilted her head, waiting for her competitor to proceed. The man sneered and seemed to chuckle as he swayed in his chair, picking up the glass clumsily before downing it as well.

There were cries of joy and groans of fear from the crowd gathered around them, her eye brow raising as she saw the man chuckling some more before falling backwards. Holding her hand up, she grinned, albeit a bit drunkenly, laughing as she stood up. Betted money was exchanged, a good portion of it going into her pocket. Ah, twas a good day indeed. Adjusting her tunic, she rolled her sleeves up before she began putting all the shot glasses onto a tray to take to the bar counter. Once done, she headed over and placed them down, looking up to the bartender. "Don't worry, I'll help clean them out." She smirked, heading behind the counter to help him clean them all out which was a task in itself.

Amaya had finally strolled into village and walked into a tavern to grab a bite to eat. She laughed when she looked over at the bar to see her friend Nicole. "Hey there Nicole. Playing drinking games again?" Amaya asked with a soft smile as she took a seat at the bar. "One would think that you've finally realized when it's too early to drink." She teased.

Nicole looked up from about the tenth shot glass, smirking at Amaya. "Too early to drink? I have no idea what you speak of." She said with a small laugh, lucky that she was sitting otherwise she probably would have lost her balance. "Besides, I'd get too bored easily in the clinic with Alden. and I need to earn coins somehow." She waved a finger at her friend, brushing her red bangs from her eyes. "So were you admiring nature again? Or should I try to guess what brings you here?"

"Well betting isn't a true way of earning money." Amaya said dryly, though she smiled. "As a matter of fact, I was, however, hunger dragged me here this morning." She told her friend. "Anything you can recommend that isn't alcohol?" She giggled.

Shrugging at that, she put down the latest shot glass, coming close to the end. "There are worse ways of earning it. In any case, I can think of a few things. Just a sec." She finished up with the last glass, pushing herself up from the chair to glance at the storeroom to see what they had fresh. "Well.... let me see. Considering the hour I'd say the eggs would be lovely or the bacon. Another good choice would be the muffins. Made fresh this morning." She had been there earlier enough to know.
