Shiroichi walked into the classroom, and took his seat behind the desk closest the board. "Hello, there," he said. "I'm Mafuu Shiroichi. It's a pleasure to meet you." He smiled gently at his new teacher.

Death stood up and stepped out in front of his students. "Good morning, I'll be your sensei today. You can call me Death. It's nice to meet you Raiko and Mufasa! How are you liking the town so far?" Death wore a big smile, he was very cheery today.

Shiroichi laughed at the nickname. "You may call me Shiro, but Mufasa's just as good," he said matching Death's smile with one of his own. He liked a person with a good sense of humour. It made things a little less dreary. "The town is lovely. I've enjoyed what little of it I've seen. A bit warmer than what I'm used to, though." Shiroichi's voice had an airy, pleasant quality to it that seemed to form a song. Noticing his classmate Shiroichi gave her a small bow, and a polite greeting.

Raiko gave a nod in Shiroichi's direction before facing her teacher. "Nice to meet ya, teach. The town's looking hot, the townspeople even hotter." Her eyes went to Death's navy blue hair. She liked a man with good hair so she was sure she and Death would get along just great.

These students were a good balance, one on the more serious side and the other more playful. Hopefully they'd be able to learn from each other as well. Death himself was of a playful personality so he clicked very easily with Raiko. Shiro was good too, she was like the serious side of Death which surfaced randomly. Connections were generally simple for Death as he was a jack-of-all-trades when it came to social gatherings.
Hooking a chair leg with one of his feet, Death pulled a chair over and sat on it backwards. He began his lesson with getting to know his students better. "So, what's with you guys? Why are you here? And most importantly, what makes you who you are? How are you two special?" Blunt was the blunt way of describing Death; he liked to get right to the point; he hated beating around the bush.
((If you have any questions, please feel free to ask at anytime. I want to ensure that you understand as much as you can before you leave the academy.))

Shiroichi liked Death's directness. He found that subtlety hindered a person's path to enlightenment because it was steeped in too many misunderstandings. Shiroichi gave a small smile, thinking over his response very carefully. It wasn't his intention to make up some sort of lie, but he found the human speech was sometimes inadequate in its attempt to explain even the simplest of things. "The reason I'm here," the fair haired teen began, "is because I'm in hiding. There are those I am not yet ready to fight in pursuit of me. As for why I'm special," Shiroichi paused. He looked down at the forehead protector around his left ankle. Where he was from, by the people he most treasured, he was worshiped as an incarnation of a deity, but he didn't feel any real difference between himself and other people. He decided on an answer that he truly felt was the right one. "Special is a word that connotes difference. I feel that that is an illusion forged by the mind in its efforts to construe a world from the emptiness," Shiroichi hesitated for a while before continuing. "I suppose it is this belief that makes me who I am." His voice was soft and gentle as he finished, his sky blue eyes on Death's.

Raiko was quiet for a little while after Shiroichi's speech. 'He's kinda wierd, but definitely in that cute way.' Raiko almost lost herself in her thoughts before recovering. "Umm, the reason I'm here?" She could do blunt and direct most of the time but she was embarassed at her actual motivation. "The reason I'm here is to get stronger, becuse I was once a coward. As for what makes me what I am, I'd have to say it's my charm and 'bubbly personality'." Raiko stuck out her chest and winked at her teacher. She was a fun girl and she showed that to everyone. regardless of rank.

Death looked awkwardly at Shiroichi and then laughed at Raiko's response. It's not that Death disagreed with Shiroichi, Death just didn't want to get into the deep details of anything. Personally, Death tried to avoid philosophy and preferred to view the world in its simplest form. He had decided to follow this way of life ever since his accident all those years ago. It was the deep core of Death's religion which had caused him so much pain and what inspired this avoidance of philosophy or anything beyond the surface of the world. Fear controlled Death, but he vowed himself to never show it.
On the other hand, Raiko was Death's kind of girl! She was very friendly and liked to have fun. Death lived in a similar way, he just did what he wanted. Fortunately, he liked to fight which helped him become such a good shinobi. His strength was also thanks to his original powers. They were surprising and mysterious. With his mind on the topic, Death decided to move into the next section of class. "Good," he began. "So what about abilities? Are you strong, flexible, quick, cunning?" Listing strengths was merely Death's quick build up to his real question, one of the most important questions he would ever ask. "And what about power? Can you do something special?" To hint his meaning, Death let out a small pulse of black electricity from his hand which dissipated after consuming some heat.

Shiroichi mulled over Death's question. 'My abilities,' he thought. He instantly compiled a list of all the thing that characterized his fighting style. Smiling brightly, he said, "My abilities are characterized by speed, flexibility, and a strong strategic mind. Battle is certainly the playing field in which I do my very best." Battle was, after all, what he had been raised to value above all else. It was what had given the unique attributes with which he was possessed. Rather than answering Death's second question with words, he decided to show him, if only just a bit, the power which he held. Shiroichi held out his right arm, sliding the red sleeve up to reveal his pale wrist. He grabbed his arm and channeled his chakra through it. He activated the cursed seal on his back, letting the darker chakras mingle with his own, which coalesced into a single form. The skin of his wrist began to raise, taking on the shape of a bird before sprouting white feathers. The growth detatched itself and flew over to one of the desks. "Shiroichi-sama," the bird said in a deep, submissive voice. Shiroichi smiled. "Tsume, I happily introduce you to my new teacher. Death, this is Tsume, a small manifestation of my power but a very useful one, nonetheless. Everything he hears and sees, I do as well, giving me a bird's eye perspective on anything I wish," he chirped happily. Tsume gave a small bow to Death, his wings spread apart. Shiroichi considered showing him the major part of his power but he thought that such a thing was better suited for the battlefield, not a small classroom.

Raiko watched as Shiroichi created the white bird. 'It's definitely not a summoning. It's gotta be something different.' She looked up at Death and mulled over his question. "Well, I'm certainly fast and flexible," she said with another wink in Death's direction. "I'm also strong. As for powers, I do have a kekkei genkai." She quickly made a few hand seals, muttering, "Unton: Kintoun no Jutsu." She blew out a mist that condenced into a small cloud. Raiko jumped on the cloud, which levitated a few feet off the ground. "Clouds and storms are my forte, cutey-pie," Raiko giggled.

Death was very pleased with the results from these students, they both seemed to be interesting and inventive. Already, he could tell that both of them would do well in the village. The primary characteristic Death searched for in his students was a sense of originality. He loved to work with individuals who did things their own way. Death was certainly a one of a kind ninja, and it showed in everything he did.
Now that they had gone over the basics, Death could move on to starting his students in the town. "Excellent, I like what I see!" With that, Death winked back at Raiko. Two can play at that game! In his mind, Death chuckled to himself, a smile rising on his face. "So, have either of you started working on your shinobi record files (profiles)? If not, then I will gladly help out."
((I should have started OoC teaching a while ago, we're a little behind with that. Anyway, I want you both to form a list of every guild sub-form with a brief description for each.
I also wanted to say that you both appear to be very advanced. Because of this, I've decided to save us all from extreme boredom and we will be skipping the Role Play and Writing Reviews.))
