 Deep into the forest, a large tan pup was running. Running away from the villiage two-legger pups that had just set him free. They'd said something about how he needed to be safe. Needed to be free. Something deep inside his heart wanted to turn back to them, but another part was screaming that he was a wolf. Not one of the silly little pet dogs that two-leggers kept for fun. Though, dogs were fun too. Stupid, but fun.
The blue leather string that they had tied around his neck bounced loosely against his snowy chest fur. The human pups -especially the litte female that would scratch him behind the ears every once in a while - had given it to him for good luck. But Trouble didn't know what this 'luck' was. Was it a person?
His too-big paws skittered to a halt. Maybe he was supposed to find this Luck? Maybe they could be friends!
"Luck?" Maybe Luck really was there! Trouble began chasing shadows randomly, searching for this Luck person. Little did he know that he was sprinting into pack territory...

It seemed like Haku had the habit of coming across pups. Not somethin ghe would complain about, they were adorable and brought out his gentle, caring side. Being a father had made him much more proud, but he still had that inner pup within him. His mind was wondering as he moved along the borders, patroling as he allowed himself to ponder things.
The scent of a young pup came to his nose, mixed with the scent of humans. He had not seen his own human 'Meal Ticket' in many years, but he still had a fondness for some of them. Especially the ones running around with beef jerky. They typically feared him, though, due to his large and powerful build.
He allowed his feet to carry him off to see what the young one was up to, surely it was best if he would know that he was now on a territory. When he saw the tan little ball of furr, a grin tugged onto his maw. He was quite a bit bigger than the other, but hope that didn't concern him, as he wasn't wanting to cause any trouble.
"You're on a pack territory now," Came his strong, deep voice, his right ear twitching hard due to being deaf there. "You should be careful about where you wonder. Some Alphas are not very kind about having intruders." His judgement of the pup told him that he carried no ill-intent, so he didn't mind in the least letting the other explore a bit.

A sharp, suprised 'yelp!' disturbed a few creatures that had been observing form the bushes. The beige pup turned on his heels to face the giant wolf infront of him. He almost looked like a giant shadow himself, except for the orange parts on him. But soon, the fear diminished and he was giggling at the male infront of him. He was an Alpha? He sounded too friendly to be an Alpha. The wolf that had been the leader of his parent's pack where Trouble was born had been very scary. Very mean.
"Pack?" Trouble left the smells of several wolves reach his nose, as well as this giant Alpha's scent. "I'm sorry mister, I was looking for Luck. Do you know who Luck is?" Quickly, the pup was trotting along in circles, watching a the big male with one eye. His mind was immediately side-tracked. Another wolf! Maybe they would be friends!
"What's your name?" Like any other pup, Trouble didn't know any better than to start sniffing around the Alpha, circling him. Curiosity overpowered manners, when it came to trouble.

When the other relaxed, he was pleased. He didn't want to scare pups off. He hoped to be a father again someday, so he would need to work on being near pups again. His tail twitched a little, a wag given to show he was actually rather pleased seeing the other. It was hard not to be, he was definatly a cute little ball of fluff.
His personality almost reminded him of Gizmo, though not as gruff as the wolf he once knew. No.. this pup seemed curious and ready to learn. "I do not know anyone named Luck." He stated, watching him as he did circles and giving a soft yawn. He plopped down onto his butt and leaned in to sniff a little at him as well.
"I am Haku. As I said, these territories belong to me. You will find I'm very happy and nice as long as rules are respected and wolves are friendly." He could be vicious when he had to, it was in his blood. He pressed his nose to one of the other's ears. "What's your name, kid? Why're you running around alone?"

Trouble sighed. He didn't know of this Luck person either. Haku was a good name, it was easy to say.
"Hi Haku. I'm Trouble. What's your terrory like?" He didn't know what the word meant, or that he mispronounced it. Or why he was indeed traveling alone, so he didn't answer it directly. "The two-legger puppies let me go, and they gave me this thingy for Luck. But I don't know where Luck is." He pawed at the string, then slung it across Haku's muzzle playfully when he stuck his nose in his ear, laughing.

Haku had to laugh a little at the way the pup spoke. It was cute, it made his heart feel light despite the emotional problems he had been having recently. "It's very beautiful, Trouble." He nodded his head a few times. "This territory is one of the best there is. There's a lot of food, a lot of good-hearted wolves and plenty of beautiful wilderness." It became obvious then, that he loved his lands very much and thought they were honestly the best the world had to offer.
"Luck.. Luck is not a person, Trouble." He teased softly, nudging his ear once more. "Luck is.." How did he phrase it, thought? "Luck is when good things happen to you. Your two-leg pups wanted you to have a very good life, and be protected from the bad things in the world."

"Really? Can I see it?!" Trouble started to jitter. His tail was thumping against the ground with such force it made his body tremble. His tongue lolled from his mouth and he gave Haku a good lick across his nose.
"Ohhhhh..." Trouble let his head c**k to the side. Luck wasn't a person. It was that. Now it made sense.

"Of course," Haku smiled even more. His soft spot for pups would never seem to fade-even through his old mate leaving him and his heart being changed because of the young femme he had brought in on his own. This pup seemed very dedicated--eager as most pups were. But there was the underlying qualities that Haku was trying to figure out.
"If you wish to play on these lands, you are free to do so. Please make yourself at home and explore in any way you wish." There was a light in his eyes that few wolves got to see.
"Would you like me to show you around, or do you want to run about on your own?"
