You probably won't get far with just that much. You'll need more to be able to vend and make a good profit. I suggest Booty grabbing or ending with small items.

Okay but say if you have 200k-400k in pure, what should you vend? What are some of the items to look for?

I don't ever recommend specific items for vending - that's part of the art of vending, to pick items you're comfortable with and you understand. It also prevents people from coming back to me and yelling if they lose gold, for which I take absolutely no responsibility. It's your gold, you make the decisions.
Having said that, if you have 200K - 400K, I would look at items currently selling around 20K - 30K or less. I don't like ever tying up more than 10% of my working capital in any one item, especially when starting out. Because if that one item tanks for awhile, you still have a lot of other capital to work with. But if you go for one big item that takes all of it, you could be stuck in the water and miss out on a lot of opportunities while you're waiting for that one big item's price to recover.
That's also why I would also advise some breadth in your investments. Again, it's because if one item takes a price plunge, you still have others that can be making gold for you. But if all your gold is in one item and the price drops, you're screwed.

I definitely agree with puprlewiz. avoid tying up your money like that ever. I currently have about 100K tied up, but that's because I bought up the January 2010 letter and a snow apple. I didn't have much to begin with. I'm no vending expert, but Francis Drake, writer of a really good gold making guide here on Gaia, said once that you have to keep your gold in motion to make more gold. very true. heart

Thanks! I was able to get up to 700k and I invested in a snow apple bundle, for when it leaves the CS
