It was another unsettling night. Again, Serandite stood in the blackness of her dream, the atmosphere similar to a swamp in how almost no light seemed to filter from the cloudy skies. There was a dim lighting-- A ghastly moon emitting it's rays from above but from the way it shone maliciously in the dark setting, it would have been better without it. The setting was an ominous garden but there weren't any flowers to admire, just vague black shapes.
This time, it wasn't a human shape that hovered around her. It was ominously shaped like a bunny, to Serandite's dismay.
"Teehee. You dont like this form better? It's your favoooooorite form, isn't it?" The eerie grating voice was the same as ever. The small black bunny floated around Serandite's indifferent form, sitting perched on a rock with her chin in hand. Serandite sent a chilling glare towards the flying bunny, mouth set in an uncharacteristically serious frown. She was tired of nightmares. But she couldn't get out of them. They plagued her too often, even though Serandite had tried to go to bed with memories of sickeningly happy movies. Who said happy thoughts equal happy sleep? because it didnt.
"I like bunnies. But that doesn't mean I want bunnies from hell. Why the hell are you always in my nightmares?" She asked, irate, shoving the black floating object away, although it constantly came back to persistently annoy her. Swirling black eyes concentrated on Serandite, a laugh breaking out from the bunny.
"Hehee. Asking yourself when you already know the answer? Stupider than I thought." The bunny hovered close to her face, so close, Serandite nearly fell off her seat. Instead of giving an answer, another bark of laughter emitted from the creepy bunny and it flew in a different direction instead, as if to avoid Serandite's question. Another night, another nightmare.

Sailor Pegasus, surprisingly enough, also stood within the black, marsh-like dreamworld that was Serandite's nightmare, walking for what felt like hours or days or perhaps just a few minutes under the eerie moonlight. She had awoken much like she had in many of the other nightmares she had had recently -- eyes opening to find herself standing in a world she didn't recognize. From then on, it had been a waiting game. Waiting and watching. The foreboding garden was neither offensive nor defensive to her presence, merely eying her as she walked through it, eyes she couldn't see that were keeping tabs on her. Pegasus felt a chill run down her spine.
It was certainly not the worst nightmare she had been in, so far, but certainly not the best, either. If you could have a 'best' nightmares. And it definitely wasn't hers. How should could tell was a mystery; maybe the feel was just different, maybe she knew she couldn't control anything like she could in her own.
Up ahead, she could see a brightly colored form sitting on a rock, and a flying object buzzing around its head like an annoying, over-sized gnat. Pegasus furrowed her eyebrows a little, looking wary and a little bewildered, taking a few more steps forward to approach, her expression darkening when she realized who it was.
"You."
She recognized Serandite from a number of occasions, one of which had nearly killed her teammate and roommate, Sailor Flora. So it was no surprise that she harbored particularly negative feelings for the negaverse agent. Straightening a little, she narrowed her eyes at the flat-chested girl, eying her suspiciously her fingers sorely tempted to ball themselves to form a fist. She owed her a good punch in the gut.

A shift had occured-- she wasn't alone in her dream anymore. Serandite didn't know how she could sense it but she did. Perhaps it was because it was her mind being invaded after all? She wasn't shy but she wasn't sure about having this scout see the black bunny that plagued her dreams, catching it only to shove the protesting bunny under the sole of her heel-- AND IT WAS STILL TALKING, with it's face shoved under her heel.
"Heehee, embarrassed? Priceless! perhaps you should just----" What would have been said next remained unknown as a heel grinded itself further into the smashed face, emitting a ghastly laugh. But at least, the bunny didn't move. Making sure that the bunny stayed silent as it should, she turned to face Pegasus.
"I'd like to know what you're doing in my dream. Please don't tell me that I'm dreaming of girls now because I don't swing that way." She had her hand at her hip in a haughty posture, a deep scowl running across the delicate lines of her young expression. She didn't harbor any especially negative feelings for the girl except for the fact that she was the enemy. Well, perhaps she held a bit more of a grudge than that, now that she thought back to their first battle.
She put on a genuinely horrified look, hands at her cheeks in an emphasized manner of shock; ".. UNLESS I am dreaming of girls now? Do I turn that way?" She said, her face half shadowed in baffled shock, her eyes widening, eyebrows raised to nearly impossible heights. Panic ran through her mind, the world seeming to slightly shift in her emotional turmoil
Could she?!

"To be honest, I'd like to know he same thing," She replied in an even tone, her voice just slightly laced with confusion and irritation. She had enough nightmares of her own, wandering someone else's wasn't exactly her idea of a night out. Still, she kept her face noncommittal, her eyes drifting down to the bunny being mercilessly ground into the dirt. Despite it's predicament, Pegasus felt no pity for the thing -- she knew this was a nightmare. The black bunny, however annoying it was, was part of it.
Pegasus didn't suffer fools. The same could be said about nightmares.
The strawberry blonde senshi let her eyes drift from the bunny to the marsh-like surroundings, the light of the moon still casting that eerie glow upon their surroundings. The nightmare world seemed no different than it had been a few moments ago when she was alone -- something she was thankful for, but wary of. People always said you couldn't die in your dreams... well, she didn't quite believe that. All those people who died peacefully in their sleep?
Serandite's horror brought her back to the negaverse lieutenant and stuffed toy, her expression flattening. "If you have to ask, you might," She replied, looking a little put-off at Serandite's horror, distracting her from watching the rest of the environment, "You say it as if it's the end of the world."

"No, it's not. But it was nice to give it a little dramatic flair, right?" She grinned, making light of the topic. Truthfully, she knew she hadn't turned in that direction. This was likely due to Pegasus's sphere-- the whole dream thing and all. Serandite hadn't realized that she could --you know-- actually enter dreams. Neither did Pegasus, one could deduce from her irritated tone. Or at least, that was the conclusion that Serandite hoped was true.
Little by little, neither of them realized it while talking to each other, the world seemed to lighten up. Just a fraction. But that was probably due to the influence of Pegasus's distraction from Serandite's inner thoughts that plagued her.
There was an awkward pause between the both of them. Considering it was a dreamworld-- one had to wonder, what the hell were they supposed to do? Battle as usual? That could work. After all, from her last encounter with Flora (which included an impressive near-miss situation,) she was quite sure that Pegasus wasn't going to be the most cordial person at the moment.
"Okay. You're in my dream. That's not stopping us from getting even with each other, right?" She narrowed her eyes with a large smile, the delight that was displays so obviously on her face indicated that she was happy to get a sort of re-match with the dream scout. "I'd be incredibly disappointed if you turned down such a convenient encounter like this. It'd make me think you turned shy." A quality that this scout definitely did not have.

"It's convenient that we both have a score to settle," she replied, shifting just slightly, ready and perfectly willing to accept the lieutenant's challenge.
Although she knew this was not her own dream, Pegasus was still a little bemused by the entire situation, although she tried to keep those thoughts to herself. This wasn't something she did for kicks -- in fact, although it was not the first time she had had a dream about fighting a Negaverse lieutenant, it was the first time she had entered someone else's dream at all. Much less in such clarity. Serandite was no shadowed form, like the girl in the labcoat she had battled. She also we speaking, clearly, something she had not done in her previous nightmare. What this all meant was a mystery to her, but it did not stop her expression from retaining a slightly confused look.
But there were other times to think about this. At the moment, she had a score to settle.
"Your move, Serandite."
She knew the dangers of the encounter. She doubted she could control much of anything in this dream -- it just wasn't hers. But the fact that it was a nightmare and the fact that most of the time people found they couldn't control their own dreams anyway gave her a glint of hope. A small light that was probably going to be extinguished very, very quickly.

It was probably Serandite's mindset that allowed the dream to act as the real world, her bunny summoned to her hand. Like every other negaverse weapon, they simply appeared out of nowhere.
"Grow, grow, GROW!"
She swung the bunny around, throwing it up in the air with a flourish. The large bunny shape shook the ground as it landed menacingly in front of Pegasus. Strangely, her movements froze, her soft flippant tone cutting the silence that might have entered the scene.
"Can you clear up one thing before we finish each other off, hmm? I'd love it if you could tell me whose genius idea it was to wave at me in our first battle? Let me tell you, that was not nice." Frustration surrounded her clipped words at the end, the simply action had aggravated her more than the two senshi might have realized. She made an aggravated gesture with her hands, recalling the last battle with such clarity, since it was her first loss after all.
The bunny laid there, forgotten as it straightened up, watching the two people with a curious tilt of it's head. It's swirly eyes narrowed in annoyance over being so blatantly ignored. It vowed to silently count down to three.
One.

She knew this part. Clenching her fists, Pegasus watched as the bunny was summoned into those delicate fingers, beginning to grow larger and larger on command. She also remembered, with a bit of dread, that the bunny itself did not take take damage, the main target being the kimono-clad girl acting as the puppet master. The last time she had battled Serandite, she had had the advantage of being with Flora -- this time she went at it alone. The thought was not comforting.
The strawberry blonde girl was ready, and was just about to see how Dream Kinesis would work in someone else's dream when Serandite's words stopped her in her tracks, a little startled by the sudden question. "The wave? You mean, Flora's?" She responded slowly, quizzically, quirking an eyebrow at the girl with the hair resembling the sunrise. She didn't let her guard down completely, but for the moment she let her teal eyes drift from the bunny to the girl behind it, "Did it really bother you that much?" Serandite sure looked annoyed. Pegasus could not have known that their battle had been Serandite's first loss, having little to no knowledge of the lieutenant beyond the basics. She wasn't exactly in the habit of getting to know the negaverse. Then again, there seemed to be a developing trend with seeing Serandite... perhaps she should.
"I don't think it was intentionally meant to distract you," She replied after a few moments, trying to keep her amusement from her voice, and somehow managing to keep a straight face, although just barely. Even if it was, it was not something she nor Flora would apologize for. It had certainly been helpful in their battle, and no victory against the negaverse was going to be apologized for.

"Yes, it bothered me. On a scale of one to ten, it could probably be ranked as a fifteen." Serandite said, emphasizing the non-standard number. "That was a great plan by the way. But now that you've answered my question, I suppose it's back to battle." She punched a fist into a hand, the silent gesture said "I'm going to crush you."
With that warning, she jumped up, her bunny leaping up with her, intending to crush Pegasus under her heels, her bunny's feet aimed in the same direction. (She didn't expect to since Pegasus wasn't that dumb.) However, as soon as she landed, she swung her legs out in a kick blindly, hoping to trip the other.
The bunny laying on the ground was still counting down. With it's swirly eyes narrowing, it seemed to glow slightly red, unnoticed by the two fighting combatants.
Two.

"I'll remember that for next time," Pegasus replied, her tone moderately amused as she heard the irritation in the other girl's voice. The sunrise-haired lieutenant was the negaverse agent the senshi of dreams had seen the most frequent, and was one of the ones she could both tolerate and dislike the most. If that were possible.
Oh well. Fight time.
Clenching her fists, Pegasus saw the attack coming from a mile away, readying herself as the bunny and the girl jumped in unison, aiming to crush her into the dirt. She saw it and yet... something was wrong. It was like she couldn't move right. Serandite had accepted that she would jump out of the way -- Pegasus leaped to one side easily, catching herself on her palms before pushing up, ready to move a safe distance away before attempting her attack. But when she went to take a step forward, she found she just... couldn't. It was like moving through sludge, every move was ten times harder than it should have been. And by then it was too late. That leg had already swung out, tripping her legs out from beneath her feet, and she face-planted hard onto the dirt, scrambling up as fast as she could and rounding on the negaverse lieutenant and her weapon, grimacing.
Damn... this really hadn't been such a good idea.
"So why did you join the negaverse anyway?"
Normally, she wasn't this chatty. In fact, ninty nine percent of the time, she wasn't this chatty. Especially during a battle. But it was a dream. And she was likely to lose. She could risk speaking over dying anyday.

You know, those were the surprisingly right words to drop Serandite out of her "fighting" mode. After all, she didn't really feel like fighting deep inside. She was actually-- relieved? Relieved to have someone interrupt the tedious and dismal dreams that plagued her. Even though she would deny it.
She stood up, her bunny sinking back to it's smaller form, hands behind her head in a relaxed manner. She held a thoughtful expression, as if trying to put together an answer.
"I just joined for.. for fun, I guess? I don't have a particular reason." She had her fingers to her chin in a gesture of thought, looking to the side. "It's not as if I hate the world or anything. Let me tell you, that wasn't the best decision, jumping into a war without any planning. Gosh, it's hell when nobody tells you anything." She could think of one information in particular that would have been useful to know from the start. If she had, she wouldn't be having horrid dreams. Well-- she didn't actually know that for sure. It just would have been nice to know.
Her back was turned towards the black figure in the back, it's threatening shape increasing in the dark background, looming over the dream world, the shadows of the dream world seemed to all slowly disappear to form the large black shape. That was getting larger. But Serandite hardly noticed a thing.

"Tell me about it," Pegasus muttered, mostly to herself, folding her arms loosely and holding her elbows in a relaxed stance. It seemed as though the senshi weren't the only ones kept out of the loop when it came to superiors. The senshi of dreams found herself sympathetic to the girl whose dreams she had invaded, listening to her quietly as she explained. It startled her. She had never thought, not in her wildest dreams, that she would be sympathizing with a Negaverse agent of any kind. And now here she was, sympathizing not only with a lieutenant, but one of the lieutenants whom had almost killed Flora! It was unheard of... and yet...
"You don't have to do it, you know. You don't seem like a killer."
Tilting her head to one side, Pegasus gave Serandite a thorough, searching look, as if trying to find any possibilities that the girl was lying. A shadow behind her, however, promptly interrupted her search, and the redhead went still, staring as the shadows came together nightmarishly.
"What... what is that?"
Her voice came out like a hoarse whisper, teal eyes wide with confusion, darting between the small bunny in Serandite's arms and the one looming behind them. Instinctively she tensed again, and she glared at the sunrise-haired girl, taking a step back, in 'fight-mode' again. Was that her tactic, surprise her like this, make her think the fight was over because the the bunny in her arms was small and harmless again?

You don't have to do it.
Strangely, hearing this from a senshi seemed comforting. It was nice to hear that from a senshi-- an agent of good-- even if it was a mistaken opinion. Even if she didn't seem like one, sadly, she was one. She offered Pegasus a weak smile, explaining the best she could without revealing any secrets that were negaverse exclusive.
"If only you knew how heavy the negaverse was.. Get in, you'll never get out. I won't be the murderer, I'll be the murderee victim." Serandite laughed humorlessly, a feeling of dread arising as the usually cool Pegasus seemed to fear something behind her. It was rare that Serandite even saw such unsteady emotions in the scout-- and when she looked behind, she fully understood why.
"T-That's not my bunny." She whispered hoarsely back, her own bunny disappearing. if the two had taken the time to look around, they might have noticed Serandite's dream world brightening a bit. As if the sun was rising. But the large black bunny didn't give them much time to look around. Not before a hiss of laughter erupted from it's smiling mouth, dark swirling eyes dripping unidentifiable black liquid started to look down at them.
Serandite's eyes widened.
"RUN PEGASUS RUN."
She grabbed the other girl's shoulder roughly, soon taking her by the hand to flee from the giant bunny. Obstacles were knocked out of their path, paths opened up to them-- probably because of Serandite's strong urge to escape, she had some extent of control over her dream world, but not over this dream bunny. It would chase them to the ends of the earth-- uh-- this dream.

She would have responded, but the bunny was looming taller, ominously peering at them with dark, swirling eyes, and Pegasus was much too preoccupied for the comment to register fully. Later she would think back on the event thoughtfully, and would vaguely remember thinking that even the Negaverse, who were the source of many a senshi nightmare, had nightmares themselves. Even the negaverse had fears. But for now she was already taking a defensive step back, eyes widening to wide saucers as it laughed eerily, flickering to the kimono'd girl as she screamed for her to run.
But she didn't run. Her mind told her to fight, even if her body was paralyzed with fear, Serandite's nightmare enveloping her as tangibly as if it were her own. It was only after the sunrise-haired girl had grabbed her shoulder, grabbing her hand before she started to run behind her, the sound of their shoes hitting the earth lost by the sound of the bunny charging after them, the ground practically shaking under it's colossal weight. Pegasus could feel her heart thudding in her chest, the blood pounding in her ears as she ran behind Serandite, watching as the path seemed to open for them. But it wasn't enough. The bunny was too large, gaining too much ground, and even if it was a dream, they couldn't run forever. Especially if it occurred to Serandite that they might get tired.
She had to end this.
"Keep running, don't look back!" She yelled, shaking off Serandite's hand and shoving her onward before spinning to face the creature, ignoring her body's plea to run and not fight. She had done this only once before, but what else could they do? Crossing her arms over her chest, she summoned the iridescent sphere that was her attack, feeling the edges of the nightmare begin to fade as she stole from it.
"Dream Kinesis!"

What? Serandite wasn't going to leave Pegasus behind at the mercy of a bunny that had been created from her warped dream-- Well, it was her problem and Serandite would take care of it. The negaverse wasn't entirely devoid of good qualities-- yet, anyways. Serandite took care of her own problems. Albeit, she took a while but she did, and that's all that mattered.
Her feet froze, taking a moment to view the situation. A new determination came over her-- if she left Pegasus, they would never have an even rematch, never again having the chance to fight this senshi again. Serandite wasn't sure how much a dream could affect real life but she was going to assume that the pain would be close to real because this situation didn't seem at all dream-like. (Except for the dream bunny, but let's exclude that. The situation wasn't dream-like.)
Serandite scowled. "As if I would let a senshi like you take care of my problems. I'd be the laughingstock of the negaverse if this gets out. Out of my way, Pegasus!" Before the scout could send off her kinetic blast, Serandite had kicked her over to the side in a very unladylike manner.
Serandite's dream world-- as if by her unconscious will-- forced the bunny to collapse forward, growing smaller as it fell through the air-- that was the last thing that both the scoutand negaverse agent saw before being neatly ejected from the dream. It was like a "poof!" and both girls had somehow woken up to reality. Actually, something like being "kicked" out of the dream. A pair of brown eyes opened, Serandite sitting up with a shock.
Somewhere, in Crystal Academy dorms, two girls were awake for the moment. Pondering.. what sort of dream they had, exactly.
