(This RP will take place just on the outside of the borders of the lands) They were close. She could feel it. Feel it in her bones, her heart, her soul. She had sought far and wide for the one who could undo the thing that she had done. Some rumours had been false, others held some scrap of truth. But it was the advice from her adpotive mother, Koya, that had led her to this place of mountains, fresh air and tranquility. What better place could there be for a Goddess who could heal?
She had stirred at the first rise of the sun and left Cassian and Illena sleeping side by side. Seeing them together like that made her heart feel warm. Love was a strange but beautiful thing, and though it confused her greatly - she found herself desiring it, too. Maybe one day love would happen upon her.
Maybe it already had.
Rokopelli did not fly. Instead she moved up along the rocky path, her heavy-looking, multi-coloured wings bobbing at her sides. Her head was up, ears twitching at every sound. Perhaps, finally, her powers could come of use. Perhaps, using her telepathy, she could locate the one she sought. It rarely worked - due to the fact that she struggled to control her powers - but it was worth a shot, right?
She paused in step, closed her eyes, drew in a deep, deep breath and let her mind wander across the land, picking up the minds of rodent and rabbits in the nearby grasses.
Where was the one she sought?

If gods could be reclusive, Amedia most certainly was. She wouldn't deny she made a concerted effort not to be found these days. She found those who needed her, such was the way. But when it came to old gods and forgotten acquaintances, Amedia was happy enough to lie just below the surface. Her mother ridiculed her for her foolish ways. Languishing away with mortals, she believed was the phrase. But in these lands, she had found an undeniable quiet. She helped where she could- but mostly in silence. She had never been one to stand out.
But although she might have become something of a hermit, it wasn't due to fear. She had become aware of the strangers just outside the borders of her pride earlier in the day. Although it was rare for her to be discovered intentionally.... Amedia couldn't help but feel pulled towards meeting them. She could sense a peculiarity about the situation that was not normal. Something... well, something just a bit confusing!
She waited a bit before appearing. She wasn't afraid of other gods, but she was cautious. And perhaps just a bit curious. But, in the end, there was only so much one could learn from casually observing. As the other goddess wandered- she soon came upon the bright white lioness. Wingless and unornamented- she sat on dusty rock just below a tree which had recently begun to flower.
"Who are you looking for?" The goddess asked, her voice light.

Rokopelli blinked - almost blinded by such a white pelt that so well reflected the young sun - and froze immediately, one paw hovering in place above the ground.
The other was disguised but, even someone as unobservant and naive as Rokopelli could tell there was something different about her. Something quite ethereal.
Drawing both ears forward, she set her paws evenly on the ground and lifted her head, enchanted by the softness of this strange female. There was no fear in her heart being in the presence of this one, although Rokopelli rarely feared anyone unless they set teeth and claw upon her. (Something that had happened in the past - unsurprisingly enough).
"Um...we're looking for a Goddess of Healing. We're Rokopelli. We've travelled a long, long way for helpses. We made a mistake."
"No, you made the mistake!"
"No, we made the mistake!"
"You did!"
The Goddess silented her argument with a stamp of a paw and blinked up at the female again. "Don't listen to Roko. We need helpses."

Amedia twisted her head to the side, listening to the fractured voices of the god before her. Such a thing might have seemed strange to others, but she grazed over it as though it were nothing. It certainly did no harm, and she wasn't about to question it. There were far worse things then talking to yourself! "I see," the white lioness mused, shutting her eyes for a moment in thought.
It wasn't the first time she had been called upon to fix such a mistake. In fact, it seemed to be becoming a regular affair these days! But while she was always initially a bit reserved, she had long since stopped trying to be too suspicious. Most had genuine problems- but... there was indeed something strange about this particular meeting.
"Well, I have heard such a goddess lives in these parts. A very strange soul indeed!" She smiled softly. "You should not fight though, it usually does not matter how these things happen. But... what do you mean by, a mistake?" Her eyes fluttered open, and she perked her ears.
"If I might ask, that is." She grinned.

Smothering Roko's little voice, Pelli smiled a little. She felt like she was already friends with this one. She was pleasant to talk to and seemed interested in her and her problem in a way that others weren't. As if she were genuinely interested.
"You know her?" The little Goddess peeped. "Really?"
Her ears dipped a little and she looked a little bashful, just as a child might when being told off by its mother. Arguing was bad, but it wasn't her fault! They just didn't see eye to eye. Not ever!
"Well...there was this lion. Mortal lion. He was mean and pounced us. We were scaredses. We pushed him away. Then he askses us for help and we say yes--"
"You say yes. Roko wanted nothing to do with it!"
"Shh, I'm telling the story!" She shook herself vigorously and continued. "He had bad eyesies. Couldn't see right. So we said we'd try to fixses him all up! We tried and we made a mistake. Big mistake! We...did something wrong. Hurt his head. Now we hear each other's thoughts, confuses. Annoying. Upsetting. He gets mad but we promised to get him back to normal." Her head drooped sadly. "Mummy will get mad if she finds out. Musn't find out ever. Need to fix it before she realises."
Then, she continued hastily. "He's close by but sleeping now. We came to see if the Goddess can fixses our mistake, return him to normal and help his eyeses."

Amedia smiled, leaning back into herself as she listened. Ah, this was a problem! And unfortunately, starting to sound like a problem she might have some difficulty with. Her powers had limits, after all! But... hrm. Yes, she supposed she'd have to investigate this.
"I do indeed," The goddess mused. "But, perhaps I better take a look at this. You know, she can be quite shy! If it is as serious as you say, I will take you to her. Do not mind my old bones, I can keep up quite well enough!" She hopped off from the rock, and strolled effortlessly beside the nervous goddess.
"So, you have mixed up his mind trying to fix his eyes?" She took in a slow breath, evaluating the condition in her mind. "Well, it is quite dangerous to manipulate with mortals, you know. Not so easy, poking around in them!"
She laughed a bit, but that was mostly for her own benefit. "But, don't worry. Most things can be fixed with some untying."
She leaned forward, and smiled. "Here. Take me to him, and we shall see!"

She turned and moved alongside the white female, nodding sadly. "We never should have tried. But...well...we're not very good with our powers. Difficult to controlses and use. We...we feel weak and useless so we have been practising for the last year or so. We're afraid that others might want to hurtses us. Other Gods. If they do, we won't be able to protect ourselves."
She shook her head slowly from side to side.
"We've been very bad. Very, very bad. If Mummy knows then Mummy will find us and we'll be back in the darkness again. Terrible, horrible darkness. We don't want that to happen. So, if she comes back, we want to stand up to her."
"We're silly..." Roko's little voice echoed softly.
"But now we made a mistake and Mummy might come and we're not ready. Might never be. If we fixses it she might not come. Everything will be alright."
"He's waking." Roko said carefully. The curse had linked their minds permanently whenever they were in close proximity, often having Rokopelli believe there was three personalities in her head, instead of just two. That, of course, caused much confusion for everyone involved.
She called silently to him with her mind and as they continued down the path, he eventually emerged ahead of them. One advantage of being mentally linked with the Goddess was that it didn't matter if his eyesight was bad. He seemed to know where she was and moved towards that silent, whispered voice - leaving his love to rest alone.
He was a large, stocky male with a heavy brow overhanging silvery eyes. A grumpy fellow at the best of times, it was only to be expected that he and Rokopelli would not get on. Even sharing thoughts had not helped with that. Yet, the Goddess had promised to help and, though it had taken a while, he trusted her now.
He squinted into the pale morning sun as two blurry figures came into view. Roko's rainbow wings were easy to make out against the haze of greens, browns and blues. In fact, even her companion was easy to spot - a hazy, floating shape of white. So white!
"Who's that?" He called aloud, sounding his usual, gruff self.

"Hmm," Amedia mused as the other goddess continued her story. Yes, that certainly was a problem. More disasters spawned out of fear then anything else! She could understand how the young goddess had slipped; not to mention, trying to fix something which was quite a bit more complicated then simply throwing powers at it. "Fear is a dangerous thing. I doubt it has anything to do with your powers being weak. Sometimes, we limit ourselves."
As they walked, the subject of mothers wiped a bit of the smile off of the goddess's face. Oh dear! Well, she knew a thing or two about mothers...! "Mothers... can be troublesome, yes." But, as they approached nearer to where the mortal was, Amedia decided to save it for another time. She had a feeling Roko might need to settle this issue before even beginning on another!
She nodded her head quietly as she informed them of his presence. Sure enough, it didn't take long at all for the other to appear before them. And, just as quickly, Amedia knew this was not a problem she could solve.
But, her smile did not fade. Luckily, she happened to know just who to fix it! "I am Amedia," The goddess smiled as she approached him. "The goddess of healing. Your friend here has asked me to come see if there's something we can do about your predicament!"

Rokopelli looked unusually somber, talking about her mother. It was a sad state of affairs really. Her need for a loving parent forcing her to adopt others as such. She both feared and loved her blood-parent and that was what pained her so.
She lifted her head and wings a little as Cassian appeared and was about to call back when the white female stepped up to speak.
Rokopelli gawped. "Y-you--!?"
She would have continued, but Cassian interrupted.
"You're serious?" His eyes widened and he hastened forwards, his legs feeling shaky as he did so. Was this a game? A lie? Or was it truth? Rokopelli might not be trusted, but this lady of shining white was different somehow.
He had a feeling he could trust her.
"I'm Cassian." He replied quickly. "And if you're really the Goddess of Healing then...well...thank you for coming. I...never expected that we'd find you." He paused before them, his eyes switching back briefly to Rokopelli. He thought his thanks to her and the Goddess purred.
"Has...has Rokopelli told you what...what she did?" He sounded nervous now.

It never ceased to bring a flutter in her chest when others showed such... relief, at seeing her. She wasn't one to chalk anything up to vanity, but she couldn't deny she loved helping others. It was her whole existence. She only wished she'd have better news for them! "I am indeed." The lioness smiled. Although she was revealed to be the goddess, she didn't change her form. She was finding more comfort in these mortal bones these days then otherwise. At least like this, she felt more her age. "And, I am sorry you had to travel so far to find me. I do not mean to seem mysterious or aloof."
She passed across Cassian, watching him carefully with her strange eyes. She could feel him, as she felt most who were mortal and around her. The feeling of blood moving, of dull pains that echoed. But for his particular problem, however... "I am afraid to say it is quite a delicate problem! For your eyes, I will certainly heal. Such things are in my power. But..." She trailed off for a moment, and turned towards the goddess.
"Other things are not in my power. I can heal almost anything. But I can't fix that which isn't broken. Your friend has nothing physically wrong with his mind." And then, to Cassian. "Although, I suppose the condition might cause headaches! But, as it is. I will fix your eyes, but we must call on another to fix your mind."
She leaned back, considering her evaluation. "Yes, I believe it will all work out just fine."

Rokopelli cowered in shame and despair at the Goddess' words. If this one couldn't fix what she had done, then who could? No one! She didn't know what to do! She'd promised him she'd return his mind to him, so that he wouldn't be so addled and confused by everything. So that they wouldn't always hear one another's thoughts.
But...was it all hopeless?
It seemed, to her, that it was. And she feared Cassian's reaction. Feared that he would attack her.
Stop thinking so loudly. Cassian grumbled at her. I can't concentrate. And concentrating came difficult nowadays, what with his lack of understanding of most things.
But Amedia's words he did understand and they brought him both sadness and hope.
"Fix...my eyes? How can you fix one and not the other? My mind is broken! It doesn't work anymore because of what she did!" He shook his head, grunting in frustration.
Rokopelli's voice drove into his mind, warning him to stop getting angry. Warning him that if he did, the other might not help. That did well to cut through his anger and he settled himself.
"Fine. If you think it will work out then it probably will. What do you need to do to...fix my eyes?"
Ugh...if he never saw a god again it would be too soon!

"Yes, it is true. Your mind does not work, but it is not the fault of your mind. Minds are very very difficult things to heal. Sometimes, healing is possible. Minds are fixed when the mind is wrong- that is to say, when there is something wrong with the mind, that otherwise is stopping a person from being as they are. But for you, your mind is quite fine. It was fine before your friend addled it, and it is still fine. What you are under is something very different." Amedia explained, moving a paw past his face as though to investigate her findings further.
"But, do not frown. The fact that there is no real damage just tells us that it CAN indeed, be fixed. But, lets attend to your eyes first before we go further." The goddess smiled, and dipped her head. "Thats how this mess got started, and it seems fitting we start untangling from there."
She rose up into a seated position, and pressed her paws together. Healings, perhaps like messes, were not so easily started either. "But, your eyes were not damaged by Roko, and because of that, there is something you must do for me first." She grinned. "Healing is not an easy thing either. Nor is fixing things which have long been broken. I would like you to go get something for me. I will use it to help cure your eyes. A flower, just on the side of this ridge, bloomed this morning. It is bright red- and we shall put it to work."
She turned towards the south. "You won't have trouble at all finding it- but, you will need to find it alone. While you look, I will speak to your friend about how we shall go about fixing your mind."

He wished he could say that he understood and perhaps he would if his mind was his own. But with Roko's panicked thoughts in his head and his confused state he just blinked and nodded.
He blinked and started when the other waved a paw in front of his face and took a slight step back, almost as if concerned she might do something to further aggravate what had happened to him. After all, trusting a god was what had gotten him into this mess in the first place. Even still...what did he have to lose? He couldn't live like this forever.
A grumpy, fuzzy-sighted, confused male. What good would he be to anyone? Especially Illena.
"Red flower." He repeated after a moment. "Fine." And he turned and sloped off, tripping over a few rocks as he went.
Roko, head low and ears flat against her head, turned her mismatched eyes to the white female. She was afraid and her mind was in total meltdown mode.
Wings quivering, she cleared her throat and spoke. And, for the first time in a long while, her voice was as one.
"What do we do?"

Amedia smiled as the male walked off. Good, that would keep him distracted a bit, so she could evaluate the other problem: Roko.
"He won't be long, don't worry." She smiled, perhaps sensing the wild and distracted thoughts. "We can fix him, but I'm afraid the 'we', might be a bit misleading. There are gods who can fix what has happened to him, but there's no need- we have the greatest fixer right here!"
She leaned back. "Roko, a god's powers belong completely to them. We may give and take wherever we please, but nothing removes it from us. The only one with the power to heal your friend, to truly and safely heal him, is you. You will use your powers to release your control over his mind. And you will stop feeling weak because of it."
"But, you will both have to work together." She remarked.

She seemed to crumpled in on herself, her head getting lower and lower to the ground, her eyes getting wider and wider. She looked up at Amedia in absoloute terror.
It couldn't be! Cassian's future couldn't rely on her! Not her! She'd already messed things up for him and she didn't trust herself to be able to fix them. She knew she couldn't control her powers, not as she was now.
"We can't!" Pelli blurted.
"Powers are bad." Roko added slowly.
Then the Goddess fell silent and one could almost see the cogs spinning in her mind. "But...this won't be bad." Pelli continued finally. "If we help."
"But what if we don't? What if we make things worse?"
"You heard Amedia. We have to work together. This must be your faultses, Roko, for not wanting to practice our powers."
"My faultses?"
"Uh huh. We don't work together. Not ever. Always argue! Don't you want to be good at using powers so we can help people? Help Cassian just like we promised?"
"Yes but...if we use powers, Mummy will come and get us."
"If we work together, Mummy can't put us in the darkness, Roko."
"But what if we try to do good and make more bad things happen?"
"Roko, I promise I won't use powers like what I did on Cassian. We'll be good and...responsible."
"You...promise?"
"Cross my heart!"
Another pause and when the little Goddess looked up, her face was much less afraid.
"We will try and work together...if it will help him." Her eyes trailed to where Cassian had gone. Perhaps things would work out for him after all.
