 It was another beautiful sunny day by the sea, and the God of Fish felt ever so good. He had a soft smile on his face as his coral-pink eyes gazed over the dancing waves. It had been such a long time since Bahari'nswi felt this way. In fact, he wasn't even sure if he had felt this way at all in his current lifetime. He was truely happy, but for once, it wasn't because of something to do with himself. He was happy because he had fallen in love.
Now, for someone who loved himself as much as Bahari'nswi did, it would take a very special female indeed for him to starting thinking about her instead of himself. Yet that's what had happened. Although they had only met a few times, each time they parted the God of Fish felt as though part of him went with her. And when he saw her again, he was whole. She was surely the female he was destined to be with, and now he had reached a point where he just had to tell her.
Still smiling, he looked up and down the beach. Although they hadn't arranged to meet here, he somehow knew that she would eventually find him here.

It was only Nyes second time by the sea, the first time she had stumbled upon it by accident, and had been overcome by its beauty. She was a wanderer, and took these kind of places as a place of chance. Nye didn't really know how to find the sea.
She had been inspired however, by a God, a god that she found as awe inspiring as the Sea itself, and she had come here in the hope she would find him again. His company had left her feeling warm, despite how her moods could turn sometime. She was a creature who was often trying to figure out her past, but within Bahari, she could see the future.
As she approached the sand she smiled. The breeze whipped her headdress around, the pearls glinting in the sun as she recognized the huge and beautiful figure in front of her. Her heart skipped a beat and she padded towards him happily. "Bahari!"

Bahari'nswi spotted Nye just before she called out to him, causing his smile to widen. He got up from where he was sat and moved to meet her. When he reached her, he bowed his head in greeting. "Hello Nye." When he raised his head, he wondered if it would be OK for him to give her a quick nuzzle. He didn't want to startle her by doing it by surprise, so he moved slowly and carefully to nuzzle his nose gently against her cheek. "We have missed you. Yes, very much."
It wasn't long before the God felt eager to just burst out with all the feelings he had for her. That wasn't his style though, and once again, he didn't want to startle her. So he simply waited to see how she reacted to his nuzzle.

She was glad that the God was as happy and eager to see her, as she was to see him. She was taken aback slightly by his nuzzle, but happily. Nye reciprocated the action gently. Smiling as widely as she possibly could, the goddess felt warm inside and suddenly very safe.
"I have missed you too, Bahari.." She spoke a little shyly, but felt incredibly comfortable around the God. She cast her gaze out to the beautiful beautiful ocean. "How have you been?"

A soft purr rumbled in the God's throat as Nyesha returned his affection. She was just so beautiful, Bahari'nswi simply couldn't take his eyes off her. It pleased him to know that she had missed him as well, which could only be a good thing. "We have been good thank you. Great even." The God spoke in his same neutral tone of voice, although it did have a bigger hint of softness in it than usual. "Although We must say, We always feel the best when you are around." Saying this, the God cleared his throat slightly. A sudden wave of shyness had washed over him, which was something the confident God wasn't used to.

So he.. felt the same?
She was sure she had nothing to be scared about, as all the signs were there, he missed her, she made him happy. These were the same things she felt. Yet, the Goddess could not bring herself to reveal everything, her nerves had got the better of her for now, and closed a tight fist around her vocal chords.
She smiled gently and coughed, much like he did. "Yes, I always feel happier, when you're here." Nyesha had always strangely admired the way that Bahari referred to himself as "we". She couldn't explain why for the life of her.

It used to be that whenever someone said to Bahari'nswi that he made them happy, he would simply nod and agree. With Nyesha though, he actually felt honored. This was just yet another sign that Nyesha, in all her unique splendidness, had changed the God of Fish for the better. No longer did he love himself more than anyone...now he loved her.
"Nyesha, We..." The whiskers on Bahari's face bristled ever so slightly, causing him to screw up his nose. Once again, the God found himself hindered by shyness. He didn't like the feeling very much, even though he knew what it meant. "Nyesha, if We told you that We...love you, what would you think?" At this point, anyone watching the pair probably would've burst out laughing. Rather than actually telling her that he loved her, Bahari'nswi had chosen to ask her how she would react if he told her such a thing.

She could have sworn that her heart stopped for a second. Her cheeks flushed and she could feel every tiny part of her body working in perfect unison, the eventual thud of her heart filled every part of her as she thought about her answer carefully. She chose to just run with her heart, but chose the same mysterious edge as Bahari. "I would be flattered, esctatic, and I would wonder what you would do If I returned those feelings." They were both beating around the bush like shy teenagers, trying not to step on each others toes, not yet aware of the power of a bold exclamation of love.

Bahari'nswi blinked and stared. She would be ecstatic if he told her that he loved her? If that's the case, then he should tell her right away! Being as logical as he was though, he thought it better to answer her own question first. Yes, that would be the polite thing to do. "You would not need to wonder, as if you returned Our feelings to Us, Our happiness would be quite obvious."
There was no point in holding it in anymore. Nyesha's answer to his question had reassured him that what he was about to say next would have no negative concequences at all. "Nyesha, We love you. We think you are the most beautiful, charming creature that has ever lived. You are even more beautiful than Us, and We are happy to admit that." That last part was surely the ultimate compliment.

Nyeshas fur seemed to burn around her face, but pleasently, it seemed to burn with such heat that it warmed her very core. She was so very glad that he would also be happy. Now all the lioness needed was the guts to come out and tell him. But as Bahari continued she listened, deep blue eyes widened.
As Bahari spoke, she was astounded. She had never expected such a compliment from him. She knew how much he valued himself, and had never thought that was a negative trait, but for Bahari to put her above himself... She knew it was something big. "T-thankyou.." The lioness didn't know where to begin, but she began by saying something she had been bursting to say for the last ten minutes. "Bahari, I think you are wonderful, and I.. I love you too.."

The relief hit Bahari like a wave from the sea. She felt exactly the same as he did, and he couldn't be happier. "We are so very happy that you feel the same." With that, he moved to nuzzle her, with much more affection and less awkwardness this time. He then sat beside her and wrapped one of his wings around her, being very careful not to rest down too hard on her own wings.
Now sat beside her, he turned to her, his smile wider than ever. "Thank you. Thank you for loving Us."

She felt even warmed at the touch of Baharis embrace. Admiring his unusual wings for a moment, and the unusual texture, she again marvelled at the beautiful colours that shone within his pelt. She had never before seen a more beautiful creature. She found it a kind of luxury, to be able to admire and lose herself in the beauty of another, especially a male, and especially a male that loved her. She turned to him, her smile wider than it had been in a long time, and her eyes bright. "You're welcome, thankyou for giving me a chance, some creatures only see the bad side of me..." She faltered, and realised that Bahari didn't know what she could be like, the moodswings she experienced, and the mystery surrounding her past. Did it really matter? When she was with him, she felt nothing but happiness, and felt as if these things would never matter, all that mattered was him.

Bahari'nswi tilted his head slightly. What bad side? There was no such thing where he was concerned, but then again, maybe she was a bit like Rokopelli. Although Rokopelli seemed like a real sweetheart, she had told Bahari that she had a darker side. He had failed to believe that then, and he failed to believe it now.
"We are positive that every side of you is wonderful." He said with a firm nod. "We could never believe otherwise." Now that everything was out in the open, the God of Fish wondered what they would do now. There was no way he ever wanted to leave her side now, which meant they would probably have to join each other whenever they had to do something specific with their Domains.

Nyesha knew that Bahari was viewing her through the rose tinted glasses of the honeymoon stage of love and a relationship, but so was she. She didn't think that she could ever find a fault with her new found mate, he simply seemed so wonderful to her. She wondered where they would go from here, and what they would encounter together. Nyesha did not think that she needed to say anymore on the matter of her more unpredictable emotional side, perhaps Bahari had calmed that, or perhaps he would experience it someday. Hopefully she would not too too much damage. She couldn't wait in fear for that day, though, she was far too excited about this new journey that had embarked on. She could not think of anything to say, so simply nuzzled his side affectionately, marvelling at how big and warm he felt, she clearly wasn't used to the touch of others. "I believe you are truly wonderful, Bahari.." She purred.

"We know. Oh, I mean, thank you." The large God chuckled and grinned somewhat sheepishly. He was so used to others thinking that he was wonderful, but now that he had found someone who was even more worthy of such praise, maybe he would have to start being more humble. Well, a little bit more humble.
"Would you like to come for a swim with Us?" The sea was lovely a calm, perfect for a relaxing dip. Maybe they could even have a nap on the ocean floor. Since her Domain was to do with water, he assumed that she would have no trouble breathing under water. If she did, he had it within his power to temporarily fix that. Smiling, he got up and motioned for her to join him as he padded towards the sea.
