Softly she hummed to herself a tune she remembered from her childhood. The afternoon felt great to be out and about, but this was the first time in a long time she'd been away from her home. She could've been sitting on the beaches and watching as the sky began to turn colors for hours, but instead Nay felt she needed to get out. Meet others if she could. As she peered up at the sky, she noted it didn't change colors until more toward the evening, but she didn't mind it much. Just as long as she held in her mind, the picture of her home and the sounds as well.

Out for a stroll, the wind blew the white mane of the purple lion named Tariel softly against his shoulders and face. A smile was present on his muzzle as he listened to the birds sing softly in the trees. Before long he could almost swear their tune had turned into something.... something more. Something beautiful and more personalized. Something... coming from not a bird, but another lion. A lioness to be correct. As he drew closer, his smile brightened. "Thats quite the beautiful tune you are humming there miss." he said sweetly, announcing himself and hoping not to startle her as she looked rather lost in thought.

Nayeli was nearly lost in her own world as she heard the voice of another. She almost ignored it, going along on her way --as she did often-- forgetting that she had wanted to meet others; make friends. But instead, Nay turned to see who it was and smiled in a friendly manner. Humming for a few seconds longer, she ended on a sweet melodic note, and did a sort of bow; all four of her wings snapping open to reveal she had two pairs instead of just one. "Thank you, it's a song my mother had taught me as a cub, something I hope never to forget," Nayeli said as she came out of the bow, "I'm Nayeli, but most who know me call me Nay or Eli. Who might you be?"

Tariel smiled, dipping his white colored mane in return to her bow. "Its a pleasure to meet you Eli. My name is Tariel." he said with a fancy wave of his paw as he brought it to his chest before standing himself upright again. "Aah, it certainly is a lovely tune, and one I'm sure you will never forget." he smiled again, the tune now running through his head as he chuckled. "I do hope I wasn't disturbing you? I was merely out for a stroll."

"It's a divine day to make your acquaintance Tariel!" Nayeli jumped into the air a few feet with an excited smile, and let herself float back to the ground, as her wings opened slightly to catch the wind. Quietly, she smiled softly and shook her head, "A disturbance? Oh heavens no, actually I love having another presence around; the more the merrier," Eli began to hum the song again, before she stopped to say, "Thank you. The song has been in my family for generations, and is always passed onto the next generation as they grow older. Some day I hope I'm able to teach it to my young ones," Nayeli moved to sit with her tail curled around her front paws and a small smile played on her lips. "A stroll sounds relaxing, do you mind if I join? Where were you headed?"

Smiling, the purple lion couldn't help but chuckle at her actions, as well as words. "I'm sure one day a fine lioness such as yourself will have many to pass your song along to." he grinned, padding a few steps closer to her. "As for my stroll, I was simply heading wherever my paws led me. Sometimes, I find myself discovering places I never even knew existed until that moment." he paused, taking a glance around as he shifted his wings against his back, his smile growing. "Take... here for instance."

"Thank you, it's always nice to have some reassurance," Nayeli stayed where she was as he padded closer to her and tried to smile. "Ohh, sounds like fun! Do you explore that way every day?" she asked with a curious tilt of her head. Her own wings fidgeted nervously as his smile grew, and she somehow felt excitement bubble up inside her and possible butterflies. Nayeli hadn't been around many males, and so she couldn't tell if the butterflies were from the excitement or her nervousness at him being closer. "Here? What's here?" Nayeli tumbled over the first word, but caught herself just in time, so she didn't sound like an air head.

Tariel laughed, not taking another step closer as to not freak her out. "By here, I simply mean where we are now, M'dear. Here." he grinned and nodded his head gently. "Most times, yes I let my paws lead. Sometimes however, I feel a certain need to visit a place I've been to before." he said, hoping he wasn't rambling on or annoying Eli. Then an Idea popped into his head. "Would you like to come with me perhaps?

Nayeli smiled warmly and breathed in a small breath to calm herself, "Ahh I see, it is quite a wonderful place. So quiet, so peaceful . . . Yet it still holds some kind of noise . . . It's natural and beautiful," she looked around at their surroundings before turning her attention back to him. She brought her gaze to meet his, and held the contact until Nayeli thought she'd start laughing and glanced at a tree behind him, "I understand that, I figure almost all of us do at one time or another. Perhaps to bring back a long lost memory, or just to enjoy an ol' favorite," at his question she grinned and nodded. "Of course I would! I haven't seen much of the Isle since I was a cub!" Nayeli wasn't one to talk much, but he got the social, if not, shy butterfly to actually say more than just a few words. She loved listening to him too. He talked quite a bit, but it only made the conversation more interesting.

Tariel smiled. "Brilliant! When ever your ready then, we can embark on our journey!" he smiled as he took a moment to stretch his back and limbs, long, slowly. It felt great and for a moment he nearly tumbled off his paws at the overwhelming sensation of tiredness that swept him. Gently licking a paw, he swiped it over his eyes as he blinked himself a wake, grinning an innocent and yet embarrassed smile. "Forgive me. A good stretch usually makes me feel ready for a long nap. he chuckled.

The lids of her eyes dropped half-way, so she took on a lazy expression, "I'm ready when you are." Nayeli arached her back and stretched her wings, not needing to stretch her legs, since they were tingling with the urge to run ahead. "I understand fully! It happens quite a bit to me, especially after a couple of days of not stretching. Take your time, I'm in or hurry," even though she said that, her eyes betrayed her as she held a sort of sparkle for adeventure. Or a good stroll for a while if he wanted.

Shaking himself awake again, he now felt slightly embarrassed. "No I don't intend to keep a lady waiting." he grinned and motioned for her to either go first, or walk at his side. Whichever he pleased. Ladies first after all. He caught the sparkle in her eyes and it only made him seem a bit more energized. After all, he could sleep later right? "Well, shall we?" he said, holding out his paw in a friendly gesture. He had the perfect place in mind to head too, wondering if she had seen it or not. "Have you seen the particular waterfall that creates a rainbow at any time of day? Sunshine or Moonshine, its always there."

Nayeli nodded and blushed, "Oh yes we shall." She came up to his side, knowing she had no idea which way to head and he did. He was such a gentlemen and his white eyes were . . . She couldn't think of the word. What she did know was they held her in place, and for a moment there was no one but Tariel and her. "I haven't, but it sounds beautiful!" Nayeli replied in a dreamy, almost sleepy tone, as she envisioned it in her mind. The only place she had ever seen that was unusual to the rest of the Island, was her own home. The beaches that were hidden behind a giant cave, and within the cave was an intricate maze of tunnels. "So what are we waiting for? Lead the way!" she giggled and ran a few feet ahead, only to stop and look over her shoulder.

For a moment, Tariel was lost in her gaze until she happened to bound away giggling. Chuckling himself, he took a few bounding steps to catch up to her before slowing down. "Well, then lets be off! This way M'dear!" he said as he began to stroll up towards the nearest set of mountains. "Luckily for us, we aren't too far away, but the route there is quite the sight in itself." he said, half explaining for his slow pace. The trees that lay about a mile up ahead continued for nearly the entire length of their journey. Roses seem to drip from the branches and wind themselves into an umbrella like cover over the top, just enough breaks in between to let a few rays of sun shine through them to illuminate the path.

She followed in step, but only a few inches behind him. "Oh, now I can't wait! How many times have you been there?" Nayeli asked, her ears twitching in excitement. She gazed around at the sight as they got closer to the trees. The roses were beautiful, and the canopy of them overhead looked to be illuminated by the sun's rays as the light tried to pass through. "Wow, I've never seen anything like this. How long did it take you to find this path?" Nayeli looked at the few rays of light that did pass through and thought the light seemed to sparkle.
