He paced, one big puppy paw placed after the other. He wanted it. He -wanted- it and she didn't care! It was enough to make him greedy, enough to make him hate her. His aunt. Abital. He wanted that key... The little pup, called Urban by his mother, strode back and forth inside the den, watching it rain outside in pitterpatters of droplets against the earth. It splashed up mud onto the stone floor.
WaterSnake... She'd called him WaterSnake. He growled low in his throat, still a puppy growl but it would someday be strong and ferocious. He would find a key. He would find a key -prettier- than hers and he would show her up. Auntie or not.

Marek strolled throught Gommorrah's grasslands, shaking out his damp pelt, he'd just gotten a bath from his mother. The pup saw his brother, and smiled.
"Urban!" His haunched bristled, it was play time! It was always playtime!

He spied his brother, white and blur fur soaked, out in the rain. He lifted a lip at his brother, puffing himself up big and then padded out to greet Marek. "Marrie..." he taunted softly, lips grinning deviously. "Guess who I met today."

Not really listening, he took his nickname full stride, and pounced onto his larger brother. "Who?" He grumbled out while tugging at his ear. Little yips and growls escaped from his maw.

A little bummed that his brother took the girly nickname in stride, he retorted with biting down hard on his ear, then snapping his jaws ferociously in a show of power. He broke away, swatting Marek with a paw and growling. "Aunt Abital. She's got the prettiest little treasure. I -want- it." His lips curled up into a snarl and he let out a soft whine and sat down.

A little mad that their play had ended so soon, he plopped down next to his brother and scratched his bitten ear. "You whine too much, BanBan. It's just a treasure. We'll find you something prettier." He rolled over onto his back, pawing at Urban playfully with his grey-spotted toes.

It wasn't that Urban didn't want to play. He just wanted something else, something shiny, alot more. He bristled at the name, snapping at his brother with sharp puppy fangs, though they didn't sink into white fur just yet. Suddenly, he grinned. "What about an adventure, Marek? A treasure hunt..." His voice was suddenly light and sweet, tail wagging. "And then, once I get my treasure, I'll play with you." He looked pointedly at his brother from steely silver eyes.

Marek's tail started to wag shamelessly, making his whole body move. Play time! Yay!
"Alright! Let's go, BanBan!" He giggled at his brother's new pet name, running circles around him excitedly. He kicked up a circle of mud around them, staining his snowy fur. Mama would be mad when they got back to the den, it always took her the longest to clean the bleach-white in his pelt. He didn't know why, he was just going to get dirty again anyways.
