 Arritixa was up to no good today, just like almost every other day. As her mother wasn't paying attention while she was spending the night at her mother's pride. But she knew for a fact that she would wander away for a bit and make some new friends or find a way to entertain herself and get away from her sisters and brother. She really couldn't wait to get back to her father, he was more excited because he liked to travel around and make things exciting for her and her sisters. It always made her smile, but until then she had to figure out how to entertain herself in such a boring area.
She trotted at a steady pace, she knew where she needed to go. She had a pretty good idea of where she wanted to go. She had been there so many time that she knew perfectly where she was going, and how to get there. She wasn't that sure if that was sad or not but she really liked it, it was a really nice place that she could go to and she had met a few cubs there too! She was really curious on who was going to be there. She giggled as she moved toward the watering hole and then flopped down on the edge of the water, leaning down and lapping up some of the water then looking around for something to do. There had to be some one around here to entertain herself.

Across the water hole, a light coloured leopard crouched by the edge. He was half hidden in the reeds that were nearby, using them to his advantage. Dysini'mbus was a rogue, so he never stayed in one place for very long, meaning that he was usually hunting while he was traveling. This time, he had decided to do something different.
Fishing. The water hole had small fish that were skimming below the surface, which he knew would make a tastey treat if he could get some out. That was why he was waiting in the reeds, as the fish were slowly working their way towards the edge near him. He just had to be patient.
His tail flicked behind him eagerly as he waited for the fish to move closer. He shifted, moving his paw out in front of him, dragging it across the water. It made a ripple on the surface but didn't scare away the fish. Finally, he struck quickly. His paw made a splash as he dug it into the water, latching onto two fish and flicking them onto the bank. The other fish scattered, as Dysi spun and latched onto the fish, piercing them easily with his teeth to stop them struggling. Dropping the now dead fish onto the bank, he flopped down, beginning to peel off the scales with his claws.

Arr was pretty distracted into both her thoughts and also drinking the water. A quiet purr escaped her throat as she started to put her feet into the water but as she did something caught her eye. She looked up and noticed a leopard int he water too. Was he playing? Was he hunting? She was very curious into what he was doing. Her father had said something about not talking to strangers but she didn't get it, he did it all the time so she thought there was nothing wrong with it. She didn't see anything wrong with it. So she was going to talk to him and maybe make a friend? She giggled as she trotted around toward the male with a large grin on her face.
"Hi there!" she laughed before peeking at the fish. "You are fishing?" She asked curiously before sitting down near the water still grinning at him. She was a very curious little lioness, she pawed at the fish a bit before giggling again. Oh what it was like to be young, thinking everyone is your best friend.

Glancing up when he heard footsteps, he tensed, ready for someone to try and steal away what little food he had gathered. He hadn't expected to see a young cub padding towards him on her own. Blinking in surprise, he watched as she approached with a grin on her face. He tilted his head, a small smile twisting his face at her curiousity and bubbly attitude.
"Hello, young one," he responded, going back to peeling away the scales from his fish without even looking at it. He had done it many times before, so it was almost second-nature the motions it took. "I was fishing, easier than hunting at the moment. What is a pretty young girl doing out on her own?" He remarked, curious. If she had been his daughter or one of his sisters he wouldn't have let her out on her own, or wouldn't be letting her approach strange males.

Arr looked at the fish with a large grin on her face she couldn't help it, she was a very curious lioness and by watching him she could learn how to skin a fish, something that she could use later on when she is older. She giggled a bit as she pawed at him then giggled a little bit. "Hello!" she greeted again before flopping down on her belly and stretching out some, making herself at home. If only she understood how strangers were, if only she understood that they could be dangerous. "Arr likes fishing." Some were confused when she spoke in the third person but she never really noticed herself. "Arr's mom is taking a nap and Arr wandered away." She giggled a bit then nodded. "Arr wants to explore, but don't worry she knows her way home."

Dysi couldn't help but smile at the young thing. She was adorable, that much was obvious and very curious. He didn't pause in what he was doing, figuring he could offer her the fish after he had cleaned it so she could eat. She was watching him as well, so perhaps she had never seen a fish de-scaled.
It took him a little while to realise she was talking about herself. At least he knew her name now. Arr. It was cute, like her. He tilted his head to the side and smiled lightly at her.
"Arr sounds like a very curious young girl," Dysi remarked softly, "but should learn to tell her mother where she's going. Her mom will get quite a shock if she can't find Arr." Why was he talking like that too? He shook his head and nudged the de-scaled fish towards her, pulling the other over to him so he could get rid of those scales as well.
"My name is Dysi," he told her, figuring it was only fair that she knew his name as well.

Arritixa looked at the leopard her dad had told her about leopards before. He said they were pretty friendly however she wasn't allowed to have one as a boyfriend. She didn't get that. Why couldn't she have friends that were boys who were leopards? That made no sense to her. She flicked her hair out of her eyes then glanced down at the fish before looking back up at the male. She could never catch fish, he must have been a good hunter!
Arr's attention turned back to him when he spoke. "Arr is curious!" She giggled slightly but then she let out a small sigh at his next comment, she couldn't help it. "Arr's mom was taking a nap with Arr's siblings. They will be sleeping for a while." She huffed slightly. She really didn't mind if her mother was looking for her, she knew she would get in trouble but it didn't matter she could only be in trouble for so long before her father showed back up. "Arr likes Dysi's name!" She giggled a little bit before glancing at the fish once more. "Dysi must be good hunter. Dysi can catch fish."

Dysi chuckled lightly at the adorable cub. She really was very bubbly and friendly, though that would be a danger later, he knew. "I can see that," he said, shaking his head in amusement. "You don't like sitting around doing nothing, do you?" he asked, hearing her annoyance at her mother and siblings being asleep for a while.
"Thank you, I like Arr's name as well," Dysi admitted, smiling. He nudged the fish towards her again, still skinning his own. "Arr is welcome to the fish if your hungry. I have my own here," he motioned to the one he was skinning. "Fishing isn't complicated, you just need to be patient and sit still for a long time so they come close enough, or else you'll get very wet trying to chase them."

Arr looked at the Leopard and nodded before wiggling around where she was. "Arr hates sitting around." She huffed as if she was backing up the idea that she didn't like to stay in one place. She shuffled her paws then sighed slightly. "Arr's mom never does anything fun." She sighed then shook her head, she felt like her mom never wanted do much while she was visiting. Her dad was fun he liked do things. Her brother wasn't even that fun, it was a little upsetting to her.
Arr giggled before looking down at the fish, a large smile grew on her face. "Arr can?" She giggled pulling the fish closer to her and started to pull a few pieces off of the fish, the few that she didn't enjoy that much then she glanced up at him. "Getting wet isn't bad! Arr likes getting wet." She grinned widely at the idea then flicked her tail around a few times. "Arr likes swimming."

He smiled to himself as she huffed about her family, knowing there was still affection there though she disliked the little they did. "So Arr makes her own fun?" He mused lightly, getting used to using her name instead of saying 'you'. It was rather cute, he realised, in a very childish way. It showed a touch of cub-like attitude in the juvenile.
He nodded to her when she asked permission with the fish, watching as she plucked of pieces she didn't like, smart enough to remove them first rather than eat around them. "I don't mind the water either, but I didn't always know how to swim," he said, with a soft laugh, "which made it hard to fish. You know how to swim, hmm?" he tilted his head, a fond look already crossing his face as he looked at the juve. "Perhaps Dysi could show Arr to fish later?" He felt rather silly using his own name, but he didn't try and correct himself.

The little lioness looked up at the leopard and nodded with a large grin on her face as she puffed out her chest and she looked proud. "Arr ALWAYS makes her own fun! It's fun!" She giggled before shrugging. "Mama isn't much fun. Arr's glad her and sisters just visit mama some times, Daddy is more fun." She was really glad that he father decided to keep her and her sister instead of her brother. She loved spending time with her father instead of her mother. Sure it was for sure that she loved to visit her mother she just didn't like the idea of NOT traveling around to many places like she did with her father. She really did not enjoy the idea of staying in one place, some would call her crazy for no wanting to stop and stay in one place.
She flicked her tail around a little bit as she looked at him before grinning ear to ear. "Arr knows how to swim!" She nodded proudly before flicking her tail around mindlessly a few more times. "Arr like swimming." Then her eyes lit up at what the male said. "Arr would love too!" She giggled and then nibbled at the parts of the meal that she had in front of her.

Dysi listened with mild surprise as the female mentioned that she only visited her mother, but lived with her father. That was good, that at least she visited her, but he did understand living with one parent. Two parents had been a foreign concept to the male, who had lived with his mother since he was very, very young and had never known his father. "Arr is very lucky to have a full family, even if your Daddy's more fun then your Mama," he said, smiling lightly.
He tilted his head, pleased to hear that the young cub had known how to swim. Something he didn't have to teach her then, just how to fish. "I'm glad to hear that"," he told her brightly. "Finish your meal and I'll teach Arr how to fish," he said happily, pleased to get to spend some time with the young lioness. He really did regret not having children, he would love to have a daughter to fuss over, and teach to fish like he was going to with Arr.

Arritixa looked up at the male and a large grin grew on her face. "Daddy told Arr that Arr would like Mommy when she is older but Arr isn't that sure." She shrugged before nodding at him. "Mommy can be fun but Arr knows Mommy is old... Arr can't run around a lot. Daddy likes to run around though." An excited grin grew on her face before she turned toward the larger male and then flicked his hair out of her eyes.
She pulled some more of the meat off of the bone then let out a small yawn as she wiggled her toes around in the sand then looked at the male. "Big leopard really going to teach Arr how to fish?" She asked curiously. she couldn't believe it. Her father taught her a lot of things but he was more focused on teaching her how to catch big prey animals she could understand why he did but she was curious on how to do a bunch of other things and she hoped that soon she would be able to fish! This leopard was going to teach her she was pretty excited.

Dysi watched her with an affectionately amused look, amazed at how bright and happy this child was. "Have you tried doing other games with Arr's Mommy? My mama didn't like to run much either, but we played with crafts and she taught me lots of fun things," he told her. "She taught me to make flower crowns and that was lots of fun, perhaps your mommy will teach you something like that too."
Dysi nodded firmly, smiling at her. "Of course I will, if Arr wants to learn, I will be happy to teach you." He watched as she ate the fish, waiting for her to finish before getting to his feet and motioning her over to the lake. "Show me what Arr can do so far? I know Arr can swim but is she good at being quiet too? Fishing needs quiets and being very, very still." That was probably an unattractive idea to the young lioness but Dysi knew the end result would be fun.

Arr sat back on her haunches before looking up at the sky for a moment thinking a little bit. She looked back at him then shrugged. "Arr never really asked her, she's old and grumpy though. Arr's brother lives with Mama... He never says if he has fun with Mama though. He's really quiet and boring too." She huffed at the idea, she always wasn't a big fan of her brother, while her and her sisters would run around laughing and having a good time while he sat back and didn't do that much.
Arr grinned ear to ear as she hopped up on her feet she moved toward the male before lookking over at the water and shrugging. "Arr can't do much really. She can swim though."She then nodded again. "Of course Arr can swim quietly! she is afraid of ali-gatursss." she made a small face as she tried to pronounce alligator. She hated that word, she could never say it right! She bounced toward the water before looking over at him. "So Arr has to swim quietly to catch fishies?"
