Alright, it's been a llloooonnngggg time since I posted anything... but that's because I haven't been writing as much as working and sleeping. Graveyard sucks, a lot! Anyway, here's something made up on the spot with no real thought behind it or a theme to write about. Enjoy!!
The glimmer races across the surface,
Marking where the sun moved along,
Each angle making a different pattern,
As the pin I tilt against the stray ray of sun.
The multicolored crystals glitter in the sun ray,
As I run past windows in the long corridor,
My cape flows in the created wind of full run,
With echoing footsteps swift, strong and sure.
The silk of my dress and bows in my hair,
Shine smooth in the squares of morning sky,
My lateness unforgiven, whatever the reason,
By the leader of this beautiful, distant land.
Noble, I am not, no royal blood here,
I am but a child in the castle on the hill,
I don my best clothing for this gathering,
Bathed and combed and decorated all morn.
Not one of the guards stops my approach,
I am expected in the bed chamber after-all,
The prince needs my assistance,
I answered his call.
Well, it's a bit rough, but meh, It got the point across... maybe. Who knows what she ran there to do?
