 Duncan, his shirt sleeves rolled up, sat sanding down a long block of wood on the sandy shoals of the beach in the shadow of green Lady Mountain.

Not far away, Azure sat, delicately dipping her front foot into a shallow pool of ocean water. She was, at least for the moment, lost in her thoughts. The orphaned children she had found were now grown and off to experience lives of their own. Of course Nomaiya and Nemesis had still come to vist her, but she was lonely. It wasn't something she would ever mention out loud, though.
Sighing, she picked up a smooth seashell and tossed it out to the ocean, watching it skip. Only after releasing it, did she see it was approaching another nearby pony. Flinching, as she expected the water to splash him, she blushed slightly.

A lick of water hit Duncan's face and dribbled down to his chin. He looked over at Azure. "Try that direction," he said to her softly, before turning back to his wood.
