Regret wasn't sure how long it had been since she'd come across Thano's and been led back to his herd. The days had all started to blur together and to be honest she hadn't spent too much time thinking about it. There wasn't much of a point - she'd learned that fairly early on. Ah yes...those early days in the herd, once she'd found out she couldn't find a way to skip what was left of her wretched life and go straight to hell here she belonged she'd tried to leave.

Thanos...wasn't having any of that. She'd tried to walk off and he'd stopped her..over and over again. He'd made it quite clear that he wasn't aloud to leave and well..how as she supposed to argue with him? He forgot half of what you said and couldn't be hurt. It seemed silly to try. She hadn't even been sure why he wanted her around, many of his herd members clearly did not. Not that she cared a it about what they wanted. In any case to make up for not being able to leave Regret had taken to shambling slowly along the perimeter of the herd lands, an endless circle of blank minded...well not bliss but certainly not torture either. And Thano's well despite his stubborn, proud... forgetful nature he seemed to forget her a lot less then he did others and she'd come to like him...sorta. Well as much as she'd allow herself to 'like' anyone.

And now there was a whole other problem. She'd had foals before...she knew what it was like to be pregnant and the signs were clear, a bit of a surprise considering the fact Thanos was technically dead..err undead..whatever, but there it was and she supposed she ought to at least start mentioning it to him so he might recall her saying something when the foals were born and didn't completely spazz out when they sudden;y appeared on him. He was liable to do this anyways...but she figured the attempt to make him remember might be worthwhile. Pausing in her aimless shambling Regret lifted her head and scanned the horizon for any signs of the black steed.

Zip.Nada.Nothing...if she tried to walk off she bet he'd appear like magic. But he'd also be angry and she didn't want to start this particular conversation with him in a foul mood. Wait...what was that? She squinted at the pale blob. Looked like that palomino stallion..with the ropes, what was his name again? she glanced at The Raven who was always near. He'd annoyed her at first...but she was used to him now. "I don't suppose you'd go and look for Thanos?" She asked it and surprisingly with a bob of it's head it took off... interesting.

She had a feeling the Raven tattled on her whenever she had tried to leave the herd and now t seemed to doing her favors. Of course she wasn't going to count on that and with a resigned sigh she started heading towards Rowan.

Rowan was busy taking care of some work Thanos had ordered him to do. Mainly checking the border of his territory to make sure no horses were out there. The palomino stallion was sure it wasn't horses he was sent to search for but that old mare Regret. He really didn't understand the leaders fascination with the thin and ragged mare but he would never voice those opinions around Thanos. He was loyal one hundred percent to Thanos and if the black stallion wanted Regret around well then Rowan would turn a blind eye to the situation.

Speaking of Regret, he came to a stop, noticing the mare off in the distance near the border of the herds territory. She seemed to favor being away from the herd, but who could blame her. He had heard the others talk while her and Thanos weren't around, they didn't like having her here, not one bit. But they were much like he was, and didn't mention those thoughts in the leaders presence. Well he was sure that if he brought Regret back to Thanos the leader would be appreciative of the gesture, for a few moments at least. Chances were Thanos would forget all about it shortly after. Shaking his head he set off towards the mare at a slow trot, his ropes bobbing about as he did so.

Regret had only been heading in the general direction of Rowan for a short time when she was alerted to his approach by the sound of his hoof beats. She had in her typical fashion been shambling along with her head down, staring at the ground as it slipped slowly by beneath her feet rather then paying attention to where she was actually going. Apparently he had noticed her and decided to come to her rather then for her to get to him. This was probably wise on his part unless he wanted to wait a while. Regret rarely moved at any sort of speed not considered 'slow'.

And now that she had noticed his approach Regret lifted her head to stare at the pale stallion with slightly bleary eyes. Rowan. Regret didn't like him any more then she liked most of the other herd members - in fact she mostly ignored all of them but Thanos, existing on the fringes of the herd. That was better as far as she was concerned, no need to let herself get attached or enveloped in another herd, it wouldn't last, never did. But back to Rowan - the pale beast with his trailing ropes and sometimes raspy voice was fairly close now and sh flicked his ears in his direction. "I need to speak with Thanos" She told the stallion in a slightly cross tone. Regret was not really angry with the pale stallion - but she'd been slowly slipping into old habits. Habits formed during her time with...well never mind that at the moment, the point was Regret saw no need to be kind to these horses.

Rowan came to a stop not far from Regret. His roped swing side to side for a few moments before they came to a halt. Of course she would want to talk to Thanos, he was the only herd member she ever had any contact with. In the end Rowan wasn't sure if Regret was avoiding the others or if the others were avoiding Regret. It wasn't anything to concern himself with, unless Thanos made a point of talking about it, but at the rate that stallion forgot things well he doubted that would happen.

"He is busy speaking with some of the others." He told her in his gruff voice looking down at her. "Although I'm sure by the time you get there he will be done." Adding in that little insult about how slow she moved made him almost smile. He shook his head. "Come along then." Turning he began to walk off at a quick pace, but all too soon he came to a stop. His head swiveling around to see Regret in her typical slow shambling walk. "Hurry up!" He snapped at her. "We don't have all day." Rowan still had other things to do, he didn't want to play escort to Thanos' toy. Stamping his foot he set off again, still at a fast walk hoping that the stupid mare would find some energy and pick up the pace a bit.

Regret wasn't surprised by Rowan's temper - the palomino stallion seemed to play the part of Thanos' errand boy pretty often and most of those errands seemed to be checking up on her. It wasn't her fault Thanos was slightly obsessive and she might have apologized to the Palomino, might have told him she would make an effort to integrate herself more with the herd so he wouldn't have to come looking for her so often. But she didn't care and she didn't intend to do any such thing. Besides Regret despite giving the appearance of a walking uncaring skeleton did have a bit of a kick to her still and so when Rowan delivered his little insult Regret's eye twitched slightly.

"I see" she started her voice betraying nothing, devoid of any sort of emotion as she let a few moments pass - long enough for the pale stallion to thin that was all she was going to say before continued "It must be an important meeting, explains why he sent you out here" She concluded as she shambled along, implying that the Palomino was not important enough to know whatever Thanos was speaking of with the other's. Not important enough or not trusted enough - Regret didn't care which way the stallion took it and despite his apparent rush Regret was in no hurry. 'And you have as long as I so deem it necessary to get there" she told him in an aloof manner and not at all picking up her pace. What was the point of being a leaders favorite if you didn't take advantage of it once in a while?

Rowan halted to a stop at Regrets words. She was extremely lucky that he was loyal to Thanos or else he would most certainly teach this mare a thing or two. He let the mare catch up before giving her a sideways glance. "I have no need to be in a meeting with the other useless mares in this herd." He told her in his gruff voice before trotting off. He would continue this way until they reach Thanos. Trotting up ahead, stopping, impatiently swishing his tail while he waited for her to catch up, then trotting off again.

If Regret thought that Thanos used Rowan for nothing more than his search and rescuer of the skinny mare than she needed to learn. He was much more than that, the reason he was always sent after her was that Thanos only trusted Rowan to do the job. And as such Rowan was constantly sent out to look for the mare and bring her back to Thanos whenever he fancied her company. As for Rowan, well he hated mares, not just this one, but all mares. They were the reason he had died in the first place. And so when around mares he was a bit more angry.

Regret continued on placidly as Rowan stopped at her little dig, she didn't have much fear of him, from what she'd seen the beast did practically everything Thanos told him too - and she doubted he would risk his leaders favor by hurting her. And if he did well...it wouldn't be the first time Regret found herself on the receiving end of such a beating, until he gathered up a mob to chase her Regret doubted she would bother being afraid of him. Her lips twitched slightly when he responded - she didn't care if he thought her useless and his reply had no real effect on her other then to amuse her. It let her know she'd at least gotten a bit under his skin, which had been the whole point.

This amusement stayed with the mare for several steps and then it faded while she returned to her typical slow pace - completely ignoring the impatient stallion other then to correct her course as needed to keep following him. Don't know why he's in such a hurry she thought to herself - as far as she could tell the herd never seemed to do much of anything anyways.

The rest of their journey was made in silence. Rowan had nothing else to say to the mare and the closer they got to where Thanos was the less likely he would be to throw a nasty comment in the mares direction. When he finally did see the black stallion he was standing along. Well whatever he had been busy with was clearly over. His eyes moved around but couldn't see any of the other herd members around. Was it possible that he had finally gotten them motivated to move? Rowan could only hope so.

Ignoring Regret as she trailed behind Rowan trotted off to Thanos. The sooner he told the stallion that he had brought the mare the sooner he could get back to his other jobs. "Thanos," he said as he came up to the stallion, a bit of a incline in his head. "I have brought Regret back as per your instructions." Then he motioned with his muzzle towards the mare as she slowly approached. "She was at the southern tip of our border. Though I don't think she was trying to leave." He stood waiting for any future instructions.

Thanos was at his wits end after the meeting with some of the other herd members. They just didn't seem to want to do what they had joined the herd for. Those horses that in Hell had been full of blood lust and hatred were now complete opposites. It was so frustrating. He may need to resort to finding other horses to fulfill his mission, but that would take a bit of time to do. He stood on a ridge that overlooked a large chunk of his herds territory quietly thinking.

"Well that meeting went well." War chirped sarcastically.
"It could have gone much worse." Peace added in.

His mind was brought back to the present when her heard his name. Turning he saw the one with the ropes standing nearby. What was his name again? After a few moments he finally remember, ah yes Rowan. His eyes moved off in the direction of Regret. "Good." He plainly told the stallion, though his eyes had changed, they were a brighter red now. If he still had half of his face then there might have been a bit of a smile. He turned his head back to face Rowan. "Return to your duties."

Thanos took a few steps away from Rowan to greet Regret as she slowly shambled up to him. Gently pressing his bony nose into her neck in what could be assumed was a nuzzle of love. "Regret." He said softly. Thanos could change quite a bit in Regret's presence but deep down he was still the hate filled and forgetful horse he always was.

Regret had been bothered at first when Thanos would demand her presence at a moments notice - send someone to fetch her like some sort of slave mare, but she'd quickly cast that bother aside and accepted it for what it was. And she certainly wasn't bothered by it today - she had been looking for him in the first place, the fact that Rowan had shown up to lead her to him had only made that search easier, despite his irritating comments. Surprisingly the mare had a brief desire to parrot Thano's order and make one last comment to Rowan but one could never tell quite how Thanos would react to such things and considering her new Regret didn't feel like starting their meeting off with an argument.

"Hello Thanos" She greeted the black steed as he pressed his bony nose into her neck, she decided to forget about the Palomino for now - no doubt she would have a chance later to torment him further. Thano's greeting was not an unusual one - for reason's known only to the decayed stallion Regret knew he had feeling for her and if she was honest to herself she would have to admit she'd become fond of him herself. "Rowan said you were speaking with the others?" She asked him - thought it was a 50/50 chance on if he would recall the meeting or what had been said in it.

Rowan watched the sickening display between Regret and Thanos before turning away. "As you wish Thanos." Beginning to trot off he tried to figure out just what duties Thanos was referring to. The only thing the stallion had said to him today was to find Regret and bring her back. Well he had done that so, he supposed his duties were done. But he had nothing else to do today so he set out to check the eastern border of the herds range. Perhaps he could find something of interest in that direction. Either way he would be nice and far away from the pair here.

Thanos pulled his head back a bit as Regret spoke. He looked at her for a few moments as if thinking on her words. Speaking with the others, oh yes that. "Yes I was. Although it was a waste of time." He told her as his eyes changed back to their normal darker shade of red. His irritation towards the lazy members of his herd could not be hidden. "Some days I wish I could send them back to Hell, at least there they seemed to be willing to do what I told them."

"You could always kill them. That would certainly send them back." War told the stallion.
"Although I'm not entirely sure they could be killed."

Well damn that could pose a problem, Thanos thought. He might not even be able to get rid of them through death. That meant he would be stuck with them...for all eternity. The thought made him shudder. His eyes settled back on Regret once more but he only stared at her blankly. Not quite the stare associated with him forgetting who she was, but more a stare of not knowing what to do or say next.

Although Thano's words did not tell her exactly what he had been speaking with the herd about Regret could hazard a guess - the basis of these so called herd meetings always seemed to revolve around one thing...Thanos desire to rule the land and his herds desire to do...well..nothing. Neither side seemed to be winning this debate and frankly Regret didn't really care, she was pretty sure that things would remained deadlocked for quite some time.

That was good thought right? I mean you could hardly raise foals when you were in the middle of a war right? Regret shook her head weakly as her thoughts returned to the reason she'd been looking for Thanos in the first place. "Well...I wouldn't worry with them for now" She told the beast as she noted his blank stare. "I have something else to tell you and you must attempt to remember it because it's important" she told him seriously, though she knew the attempt was probably useless she had endeavored herself to at least try and impress upon the beast the importance of remembering their foals.

"Is it just me or does see look a bit different to you?" Peace asked.
"She looks like the same skinny old horse to me, you idiot."

Thanos turned around and looked at the rats perched on his back. "Hush you two." He told them before returning his gaze to Regret. "Yes, I will worry about it later." He would have to worry about it later, it was a never ending battle of wills between what he wanted his herd to do and what they wanted to do. But he would win it...one day.

His eyes focused a bit more on Regret. "Tell me something?" He asked her somewhat curious. Well she better not say she was leaving the herd, cause he just wouldn't let that happen. He let out a small snort when she told him that he would need to remember it. How important could it be if she had to tell him that. "I will remember it." He assured her although he wasn't quite sure if he could actually do so. He would at least try to remember. Wait...remember what? His head tilted a bit looking at her with curious eyes.

Regret waited patiently as Thanos scolded the rats, who seemed to be watching her with more interest then normal, or at least the calm one was - the other looked just as surly and impatient as ever. Regret wasn't sure why it always looked so cranky but she assumed whatever it was thinking couldn't be good. Her thoughts were interrupted by a sudden cackle from above and Regret glanced up to see the raven spiraling through the air and clearly distressed. It as probably upset that Regret wasn't where he had left her. Regret shrugged and turned her attention back to Thanos who was now paying attention to her again.

It seemed her comments had at least made him curious - that was good - curious was a far sight better then annoyed and though he assured her he would try to remember her words she took that comment with a grain of salt. Thanos meant well - err at least when it came to her, but he was rarely able to actually follow through with his promises. Regret was working on the assumption that if she remarked on the foals enough before they were born the repetition would make it more likely for him to remember. It was as good a theory as any, she'd have to wait and see if it worked. "Yes, tell you something" She told him with a weak bob of her head, but now that it was time to actually tell him Regret wasn't sure exactly how to tell him. Did Thano's even know what a foal was? Well only one way to find out "You are going to be a father" she told him seriously, ear's flicking slightly as she awaited his response to that statement.
