RP LOG between Grotesque Panda [Jasiri] and Velveteen Angel [Dysini'mbus]

Jasiri
Chewing on a bone of some dead bird he'd killed a few hours ago, the purple feline thought happily about the food now digesting in his stomach, very pleased with the way his day was going. The sun was hot on his back, but he didn't mind, the heat was comforting and helped him sleep better.
However, the only thing on his mind was the bet that had been made with his good friend Jamii, and how exactly he was going to accomplish it. Sure he'd gotten with plenty of ladies, but he wanted the one he brought back a cub from to be a fiiine lady. Perhaps he needed to seek out not just women, but men who knew women. Maybe that was the key. Considering this new thought Jasiri stood up and stretched shaking the thoughts from his head, not wanting to bring on a headache. Looking around, he spotted some tall grasses surrounding a watering hole, and slowly strolled over to it.

Dysi

Dysini'mbus crouched beside the watering hole, quenching his thurst eagerly. He had been hunting and had taken down an antelope, which was now hidden up a tree for him to go back to later if he felt the need. Another leopard would probably take it if he left it too long, but he wasn't particuarly fussed. He wasn't that hungry anymore, having eaten most of it already. It would just be tough muscles and bones left for anyone who tried to steal it. He smirked slightly, pulling away from the watering hole and stretching.

Flicking his tail, he sat down beside the water and began to clean his paws where the blood was staining him lightly pink. He had already cleaned off his mouth, which was now back to it's usually pure white fur. He hated it when his fur was dirtied. Dipping his paw in the water, he swirled it around in the water.

Jasiri
After lapping up the water needed to quench his thirst, Jasiri looked around quickly hearing movement in the water, and saw what looked like a pretty leopard girl. However, knowing not to get too excited as his gender assumption was hastily made, he took another look, and changed his mind, unfortunately, realizing that this leopard was indeed a male.  Taking note of the bits of blood now in the water, Jasiri nodded his approval of the leopards kill, whatever it had been. Putting his head back to the water, the lion couldn't decide if he wanted to talk to the leopard or not, he had always wanted to know how leopard girls were in the den, having never tried one himself, and perhaps now was a good time to ask.

Dysi

Dysini'mbus felt eyes watching him and glanced up, scowling slightly when he spotted another male. It took a second, but he soon realised it was a male lion. Tilting his head to the side as he forced both paws into the water, using the mud at the bottom of the water to wash off the blood. Washing off mud was a lot easier then washing off blood. Stupid staining blood. Pulling his paws from the water, he shook them off, peering down at the clear paws and stepping back from the watering hole. He didn't really intend to stop and talk to the other male, since he didn't seem that interested in talking to Dysi either.
“Greetings,” he remarked, remembering his manners as he started to move away from the watering hole, or at least, the bank of the watering hole.

Jasiri
Feeling a bit embaressed that the leopard had seen him watching him, Jasiri nodded his greeting back to the leopard," Hello. You seem to have gotten yourself covered in a fair bit of blood." Deciding that he wasn't very good at making light conversation, he kept talking anyway, " You missed a spot behind your ear, if you were trying to get the stains all out." Feeling he had now made the situation very awkward, Jasiri looked down at his paws and kept quiet.

Dysi

Dysi tilted his head to the side as he stopped a few metres away from the other male. “Yes, the antelope I killed struggled more then I expected it to.” He shrugged it off. He was used to getting bloody, having been hunting on his own a lot. When you were alone, it struggled more and meant sometimes you had to use more violence before it died. “Behind my ear?” He said, sounding irritated that he hadn't noticed. Padding over to the water hole, he tried to see where it was. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to. So instead of fussing around trying to get rid of it, he launched himself smoothly into the water, soaking himself. He hated water, but it made him clear. Tossing his head to dispell the water from his eyes, he walked back to the shore. Now he was wet but at least he was clean. Perhaps a little excessive but he really did hate blood on his coat.

Jasiri
Jasiri grimaced when the leopard jumped into the water. Hating water himself he would never so easily have been able to dive headlong into any body of water. A few droplets of substance landed on his coat causing the lion the shiver in disgust. When the unnamed feline came out of the watering hole Jasiri padded closer to him though holding back slightly in case he decided to shake his coat out. " H-how... how can you stand getting so... wet?"

Dysi
Dysi didn't shake out his coat, though he desperately wanted to. Instead, he sat down a little way away fromt he water and began to clean off his coat in the usual feline way. If he had been alone, he would have shaken off before doing it, but he wasn't going to act dog-like around anyone he didn't know.
"I hate blood," he responded blandly to the other male's question. "Getting wet is the easier way of getting clean and getting clean means that I'm not longer covered in blood." He glanced up at him, looking a little amused at the other male's obvious dislike of water. "I assume you dislike getting wet?"

Jasiri
Feeling relieved that the leopard hadn't shaken himself out, which would have caused himself to get wet, Jasiri sat straight up several feet away,  to allow for a respectful distance between them. "Makes sense I suppose, but yes, I do rather hate getting wet. I just find it so unpleasant. I much prefer the dry heat. It's just... better." Shrugging Jasiri  held back a sneeze, looking down at his paws momentarily, before speaking up once more," Though, I hope you don't mind my asking, what's your name?"

Dysi
Dysi continued to clean himself. "Dry heat is good but it does very little to help you keep clean, in fact, the dust it usually stirs up is worse then anything water can do." It was rather obvious the male prided himself on a clean coat, either that or he really disliked dirt.
Glancing back up at the male, he tilted his head to the side, wondering why he would mind being asked for his name? Odd male. "Dysini'mbus," he offered, before reamrking, "call me Dysi. My name is too long. And yours? What is it you're called?" He returned to his cleaning.

Jasiri
Taking in the knowledge of the name... Dysi, he nodded to himself, committing it to memory, also taking note of the fact that Dysi seemed to hate dirt, or rather a dirty pelt, as much as he hated water. "My name is Jasiri, and it's... interesting to meet you. I must say I have an odd question, but I've always wondered about it... what are the women of your kind like? I myself like a new girl each week, two a week if possible. Are they fun?" For a split second Jasiri almost felt ashamed of his question, but then his normal self kicked back in, assuring him that this was a completely legitimate question.

Dysi
1
Dysi raised his head at the term 'interesting', a little amused at the comment. He knew he was odd, and he was not his usual defensive self. The other male had caught him in one of his 'girly' moments and he was struggling to bring back up the defensive 'male' appearance. Tilting his head to the side as he regarded the male. His question was odd. Sure, Dysi didn't like staying in one place for very long, but a girl or two a week? The male must move quick.
“Female leopards?” He repeated, a smirk like look appearing on his face as he remembered back to the few leopardesses he had met in his travel, one sticking out quite heavily. “Very fun,” he told the male. “I would recommend them. Lionesses tend to be...stuck up, but leopardesses are oportunistic, they'll take what they can get when they can get it.”
It wasn't always the case, but it had been something he had noticed in his travels.

Jasiri
Pondering this new... avenue of choices that the leopard seemed to have opened the door to for him Jasiri was nearly beside himself with excitement. He'd always wondered if he should try going cross breeding, and this leopard had pretty much decided it for him. "That sounds... delightful. I agree, some lioness' you'd think that they were Gods themselves." Jasiri shook his head, thinking back to a few bad encounters. "So where are you traveling to then?"

Dysi

Still a little amused at the male's attitude, Dysi nodded. “I have met a fair few like that, I much prefer my own species I must admit.” Though he had met quite a few nice lionesses, leopardesses were always first in his mind. Afterall, why struggle to find something in a lion that you can easily find in a leopard.
“Me?” He said, stretching leasuirely. He had cleaned himself as much as he planned to, the rest would be worn off while he travelled. “No where in particuarly. Simply wandering and hoping to run into a few old companions.” He was looking for a lioness in particuarl, but there was no reason to specify really.
“Are you travelling somewhere in particular?” He asked, to continue the conversation.

Jasiri
Jasiri now feeling comfortable with the leopard, didn't mind answering his question, though of course, its not like he had anything to hide about where he was going, or what he planned to do. "Well you see. I have this bet with a friend of mine. We're both of the kind of lion who like to get around, if you know what I mean, and we want to see who is the better lion. So we have decided that we will both go off and have cubs with any woman of our choice, and come back with at least once cub, and then those cubs will be sent on a race of sorts. Then we can see who has the better blood."

Dysi

That sounded...ridiculous, Dysi had to admit, but he could see the logic. What better away to test your blood then by testing your offspring. “But what if one of you chooses a poor female to birth your cubs?” Dysi asked, curious now. “Then it would not be your blood affecting your chances of being the 'better lion' but the fault of the woman you claimed.” It was logical, and Dysi liked to think he was at least a little logical, not that it really mattered since he had nothing to do with this male and his competitionw ith his friend. Still, he was curious.

Jasiri

Jasiri knew that there were holes in the logic, but he knew a way to solve it. "Well you see, thats the first half of the challenge, we need to prove that we can also use our knowledge and ... skills to select the right woman to share our blood in a cub. It's all relevant. I mean, if my cub were not a worthy cub, it would not only be the woman's fault, but my own for choosing an unworthy woman." Shrugging his shoulders he tilted his head," Make more sense now?"

Dysi
Dysi nodded, understanding better now. “Ah, so it's a double challenge, both for your blood and your logic. An interesting thing to have thought up. I wish you luck with your challenge.” The male seemed smart, so he knew he would give his friend a run for his money, if nothing else, especially if he kept in mind what he had told Dysi. It wasn't hard, he supposed, but it was going to be interesting if nothing else.

Jasiri

Jasiri righted himself, glad that the leopard seemed to approve of the bet he had made with Jamii. He was almost sure that if he told the wrong woman, she'd have his head. "Thank you. It means much, though I'm not sure I'll need it." Grinning at his own cockiness, Jasiri stood on all four paws, realizing he shouldn't be meandering about if he wanted to win the bet. "Again, Thank you. And if you ever want to send any ladies my way, just remember... Jasiri." Nodding his head in respect to the lion, he turned and began to trot off, but not without turning briefly to speak again,"The best of luck to you my friend!" and then running off at full speed.
