Plot/Premise

You are an interstellar traveler. You might be a smuggle, a bounty hunter, an officer in the Space Fleet, a trader, a passenger on a civilian liner. Whoever you are and where ever you come form, your ship is damaged and you are forced to make an emergency landing on an abandoned space station.

The space station Diamis has been abandoned for countless years. When you disembark you a surprised to find that there is breathable air (for humans) and still plenty of power to run the station, but there are no people and no indication of why they left.

You're not sure of what happened here but you are sure of one thing: you need to get off but your ship can't fly.

Short Bio: Rennen was tracking a target when his ship was damaged in a skirmish and he was forced to make an emergency landing on the space station. His greatest fear is "Face-Huggers", for that reason the first thing he did after disembarking from his ship was fix mask over his nose and mouth to protect himself from them.

Short Bio: Yumi had been recruited to assist the crew in their travels through space, a big feat for someone so young. She was a student, top of her class and genius. It wouldn't have been long before something like this came along. Though nervous about the trip, her parents ushered her off onto this once in a life time chance. Little did they know that this wonderful journey may just have been Yumi's last.

Rennen powered down his ship once he heard the clang to indicate that it was locked in the docking bay and that the chamber had air. He checked his instruments to make sure that the oxygen levels were breathable. The last thing he did before popping the cabin's airlock was to fix a mask over his nose and mouth. He was on an unknown and seemingly abandoned space station, the last thing he wanted to do was take needless chances. Their might be face-huggers lurking about, he hated face huggers!

Once Rennen was sure his mask was secure he popped the airlock and climbed out of his cockpit.

"There is a vital sign," A quiet voice spoke. The reflection of the light on Yumi's face did nothing to hide her entranced look upon the computer screen. "A human... seems to be visiting like us."
That wasn't really the answer the captain was looking for so she pressed on. "Everything is in tact," She continued. "We can supply ourselves and go."
That was that. The ship docked and the crew took off with Yumi trailing behind. Their ship had been out for too long, a stupid move on the captain's part. They needed fuel and other supplies and they were hoping this was the place just for that.
Yumi, however, had other interests. She made her way down the long halls of the abandoned ship scanning her watch as she went. It had provided her with a digital map of the area and she was certain she'd find answers in the cabin. After all, what was this huge space station doing here with nobody on it?

Rennen was intent on finding the stations storage docks. He was anxious to get the parts he needed to repair his ship and get out. Unlike many spacers he was not cursed with an over abundance of curiosity and had no desire to find out why it had been abandoned. He had his theories and his fears and that was enough.

The buttons in the cabin still flashed as though awaiting command. Yumi stepped forward examining them. The chairs were pushed out a little as though someone had gotten up casually. She made her way to the computer. It hadn't even been shut down from the main screen. She clicked into the logs. Nothing was out of the ordinary.
She made her way back over to the main engine. There were no flashing warnings or signs that the ship was dying in any way. Why had the people left then? She clicked over to the escape pods to get a clue on how many exactly left and her eyes widened and surprise. None of the escape pods were gone.
Her small hands found her way to the intercom speaker and she pressed in the button calmly. "Captain," She began. "I think you should check this out." Her voice echoed through the halls ringing off the metals and echoing through the nothing.

Rennen paused in is attempts to disengage the lock to what he hoped was a storage bay when he heard the announcement ring through out the corridors.

"Captain, I think you should check this out."

So there were others on this station after all. Others that might have a working ship. He wondered if they would allow him passage back to a port, any port and if they'd also be willing to tow his banged-up ship behind theirs.

The voice on the intercom sounded young, no older than 15 or 16 Rennen guessed. Probably school kids lost while on a trip. He highly doubted the group's chaperons would allow him, a rough and tumble uncivilized bounty hunter, to mingle with their charges (not that he would really want to, he viewed children in the same way he viewed money: a necessary evil).

The bounty hunter decided he would still try to fix his ship and ask the other ship for aid only as a last resort. That decision being made, Rennen returned his attention to the storage bay lock.
