Aurilien now a Captain was currently in the midst of re-organizing the seemingly depleted 5th squad. He sought only the best within his division and that was apparent by his training regiments. He was well known to push young shinigami to the breaking point quite often. Potentially a reason why his squad lacked in numbers, but it was not to say it lacked in strength. Those who had the fortitude to endure, excelled and became elite shinigami. Many shinigami though, simply sought to passively go through the motions. This was simply unacceptable within his squad.
As he now stood in the open plain he'd use for the training grounds. The previous training grounds had been completely destroyed by a spar between him and a Captain. One could say he took his sparring quite serious. Returning back on topic, he stood in the field awaiting a prospect he had hear a bit on.
This individual was not a typical joyful shinigami and seemingly isolated himself from the group. What brought his attention towards this shinigami was watching him following a battle. The young shinigami had not won the battle but the look on his face afterward demonstrated a determination he had not seen since he had moved up the ranks. The shinigami took the loss to heart and had actually gone directly to training afterwards. He would test this shinigami's heart today, and if by chance he passed a training session with Aurilien their was hope for him within his squad.

When Ryo, the yellow flash, walked into the domain late, there was a tyrannical presence that traveled with him. It was unknown by many why they called him the yellow flash but rumors say its because he created his own fleetness technique thats seen to be faster then a flash step, but has more restrictions on it then a flash step. The commoners say the techniques called god step and all you see is a glimpse of bright sunny yellow hair. Anyway, before Ryo had entered, he was out secretly training. Determined to become stronger and not wallow in sadness over his last defeat. This time he was trying to hide from his captain like he did with everyone else. He didnt want his captain to see him with the black eye he got after getting decked in the face in his last spar.
As he made his way towards Aurilien, Ryo could see that deep craters took up most of the ground and the area around him was pretty much destroyed, but he didnt bother asking what had happened to the field. Stopping 10 feet from his captain, he bowed at his waist in a sign of respect. It looked like Ryo was going to tip over as he bowed from having a large 300 pound scroll on his shoulder but he showed raw power by not flexing a inch. Coming up from his bow, he removed the large scroll off his left shoulder that he had been carrying all this way. When he placed the scroll on the ground in front of him, and straight up, it seeped into the earth. It was so heavy that cracks in the ground sprouted out from beneath it. Once he had it standing up, he folded his arms, resting them on the top end of the scroll. Ryo's head rested on his folded arms with his back slightly hunched over. Looking at Aurilien he said, "You summoned me, Captain."
(Edit: Forget about the scrolls. I guess im not allowed to have them yet until the guild starts sad )

In the brief moment that has initially passed from the entrance of the shinigami, Aurilien had already formulated his opinion. His posture demonstrated an individual who was quite disciplined and seemed to like routine. He held himself in confidence as he was certainly attempting to display his physical prowness upon entry. The mere appearance of strength would not suffice to survive the training he would request from this individual. If he passed then he would be worthy to hold the position he had in mind, if not he would simply return to his lowly rank.
"Welcome, and I would advice you to warm up. I do not play around when it comes to what we are about to do so preprared yourself." He was rather abrupt in the manner he spoke to the shinigami but it needed in order for him to demonstrate his worth. Celebration would come in time, that is if he survived.

With anyone else those words would have been quite dramatic to Ryo but he felt the seriousness in the captains tone. "Good idea sir." Ryo said phlegmatically. He didnt really feel the need to stretch but he wanted to show how determined he was. He was going to do the best he could to impress this captain because it wasnt often that a lowly life shinigami stood in the presence of such great superiority. The captains were all omnipotence beings but Ryo could tell that Aurilien knew niceties made the world go round. So he was going to have to work his a** off and not bat a single eyelid even if Aurilien put 10,000 foes in front of him
Gripping onto his forearm, he pulled it back and behind his neck, elongating it to the fullest in order to improve the muscle's elasticity and reaffirm comfortable muscle tone. It was accompanied by a large yawn and him curving his back, while reaching both his hands out towards the sky. When he was done warming up, what seem like a light kick was actually very potent. Kicking the bottom of the scroll as it slightly carved through the ground and flipped up, landing back onto Ryo's shoulder. Ryo wrapped his arm around the middle part of the scroll to keep it from falling. "So what will we be doing today?" Ryo said, scratching the back of his head after his small warm up. His hair gleamed a rather more magnificent electric yellow than usual today.

It had seemed his young apprentice had already passed the initial test. Instead of further inquiry as to why he was here, he had immediately begun preparing himself upon notice of what would occur. He watched as the shinigami arched his back as he attempted to remove any rigidness that may be present in his body. A fluidity of movement woud be neccesary in order to succeed. A key trait he admired beyond simply work ethic was one who was aware. Those who saw beyond present situations always had an advantage. This in battle, required one to not only be thoughtful, but to also tactifully move their body, limiting disadvantages and improving any advantages. The first test he had would be to ascertain how far this shinigami had come in the area.
"I required you to come at me with all you have. Do not hold back as there is no guarantee that I will."
He stood, muscles slack , not displaying the sligthest movement that would any indication of his actions. He needed the shinigami to feel he needed to dictate the action proving whether or not he demonstrated the tactical mind to approach such a scenario with the proper prudence.

The tyrannical presence amplified, growing crueler as Aurilien ended his sentence. Ryo’s head slightly tilted down as he closed his eyes. A dark shadow casted over his eyes and the bridge of his nose. White lines streaked through the atmosphere as his reaitsu spiked. Ryo grinned on only one side of his mouth, saying "Everything I got aye?" If that is the case Ryo wasn’t going to hold anything back but he wasn’t going to be reckless either. His reiatsu started to feel murkier and a yellow light outlined his body. Ryo leaned forward onto the ball of his feet. One leg pushed off and the other leg was bent with his knee at his stomach. When he pushed off, the yellow light that enveloped his body disappeared only being a intro to his power and the ground behind him exploded. Going closer to Aurilien, not in a run, but slightly levitating off the ground like if he was ice skating.
Though, Ryo didnt strike Aurilien dead on. He went towards his side, passing him up by a few inches, Ryo karate chopped towards the cervical curve in the back of Aurilens neck, and if made direct contact it would most likely fracture the 2nd disk in his spine, cutting off his respiratory system and causing an instant death. Ryo knew that Aurilien would dodge such a death dealing blow but just incase Aurilien decided to duck and then bring his leg up behind him, spinning slightly so he could kick Ryo in the face with his calve. Ryo made sure he pushed off with enough force to gain enough momentum to speed up and duck the captains kick. He mused his eyes fixated on Aurilien, meticulously scanning him. This attack was only to learn the way Aurilien moved. Even though he probably couldn’t match his speed, it was still going to be useful in the future. Also, while Ryo was striking towards Aurilien neck, he was conjuring up some reiryoku in his body for his next move.

Assessing the movements as Ryo began his attack he couldn't help the small crease form in the corner of his lip as it rose. The shinigami was clearly putting forth a serious effort but he had already made critical errors. For one, he had left his feet along the way to perform his attack. This would not allow him to control his momentum as well as if he were grounded. His momentum would slow any opportunity to properly re-position himself to counter any tactic used by his Captain. He allowed the Ryo to gather his speed and pass him to the left purely for the enjoyment of seeing his intentioned attack.
The attack maneouver was one well intentioned but presented his second error. By attempting a kick on an individual who was well planted and balanced was always ill adviced. The individual performing the kick extended their frame, leaving plenty of openings. Also a kick as an initial strike was an explosive attempt but one that was quite visible and easily defended. Using the exposed weaknesses presented by the shinigami he simply swept spun away from the quick and as swiftly, swept the leg that was not intentioned for his neck with his arm in one smooth motion. The shinigami was sent with his own momentum to the ground.
"Well it would seem you do know how to accurately target to damage. Do remember though the more subtle movements can be far more dangerous and not leave your defense wide open. Please, try again taking this in note."
He waited for the young shinigami to pick himself up and display his resolve. He also wanted to assess whether he was a quick study or not. His next attempt would certainly give insight on this.

A "arrhh" sound could be heard as Ryo face planted into the ground. Ryo lifted himself off his belly with his hands. Paused in a crawling-like stature, there was a look in Ryo's eyes. It had been the same expression Aurilien saw in Ryos last defeat. Ryo's eyes were dilated as he remembered this feeling of failure. Closing his eyes he picked himself up letting out a sigh of relief "Dont be so cocky Ryo" he whispered to himself. Then opening his eyes, he turned around to face Aurilien. There was that determination in his eyes again that couldnt be broken. Ryo reached behind him to grab the medium sized scroll he strapped to his waist. Kneeling down on one knee, he placed the scroll on the ground and lightly smacked it once to the right, unrolling it out infront of him. Doing a few hand signs to break a seal that was written on the scroll, he put his hand inside the scroll, reaching into it like if it was a pond of water. Pulling out a regular katana with a glass sheathe. Only a few have ever seen this sword and Aurilien was the 3rd to lay his eyes upon Ryo's zanpacto and it showed that Ryo was being serious if he summoned it.
Ryo had taken a log of how the captain dodged his last attack. Keeping in mind that Aurilien is capable of moving with great speeds and velocity. All Ryo's moves had to be perfectly planned out if he wanted to land even a single hit on Aurilien. With Ryo's next attack he was hoping on impressing the kido captain with his signature move. Ryo did a 360 degree back flip over Aurilien, landing back in the same spot when he first bowed. "Lets try this again." Holding up his right forearm, with his palm opened, he began mixing two kido spells together to save time and confuse Aurilien. The first kido he made in the palm of his hand was a bakudo spell called seki(repulse) that seems to temporarily paralyze and repel whatever strikes it. Next, Ryo began fusing this with a hado spell called sho(thrust) that pushes the target away from the caster. Once it was complete Ryo curled in his fingers and this time he began running at the captain, not gliding. It demonstrated that learned from his mistake when it backfired on him but he was going to keep his feet on the ground this time.
This orb that was floating in his hand wasnt intended to slam into Aurilien with a concussive force, because it caused no damage to the body. It was only meant to repel the opponent with a large soft force. So he didnt hit Aurillien but stopped in front of him with the orb pointed at his sternum. The orb erupted in a wall of force and the wall acted as a divider between Aurilien and Ryo. The force wasnt abrupt or potent, it was only enough to pick a person about 7feet off the ground and send them back. Though, Ryo hadnt even began putting the makeup on this attack.
[Flashback] When Ryo faceplanted into the ground and lifted himself off his belly with his hands. He paused in a crawling-like stature, but when he paused and his hands were on the ground, he was actually planting shurikens into the dirt. He made sure Aurilien didnt see him do this.
It would be difficult to dodge the wall of force at that close of a range but not impossible. Ryo was hoping that it would force Aurilien back and into the air where he wouldnt be able to move or he was hoping if Aurilien would jump back and try to dodge the wall of force. Either way he needed Aurilien to be in the air so he could pull off his next move.
Once Aurilien is in the air, the shurikens that were planted and hidden underneath the dirt behind Aurilien, were connected with translucent string and the transulent strings were tied to Ryo's five fingers on the hand that he wasnt holding the spell with. This string was both elastic and highly durable, making it possible to alter a path of a weapon. This gave Ryo the ability to freely glide the shuriken in any direction with just a single movement of his fingertips. The string isn’t easily cut and is very flexible. Plus, the strings are very thin and isnt visable until movement of the fingers. If Auirilien is in the air, Ryo will wiggle his fingers and five shurikens will come out from the dirt behind Aurilien, intending to impale Aurilien in the back.
Aurilien will soon notice that when Ryo first came at Aurilien, he was only acting and he intentionally wanted Aurilien to trip him up so he would fall on the floor and be able to plant the shurikens. Of course, this wasnt the end of his attack. The shurikens were only to have Aurilien focusing on them because Ryo realized Aurilien would notice them coming at his back and dodge them. So, the shurikens also had one more job. It was to distract Aurilien so he could take his eyes off Ryo. Thats when Ryo would be able to do the last part in his attack and fire Byakurai #4 (Pale Lightning) from the tip of his finger at Aurilien. Even if this attack dosnt plan out perfectly, maybe the kido captain would notice Ryo's almost brilliant use of kidos in the end. "Also, seeing how this plays out will be very beneficial to me collecting more information on how he moves before I go into sword play." Ryo thought, as he was being cautious about fighting a captain.

The fleeting glimpse of despair was replaced by new vigor upon the face of Ryo. Reclaimain a stance to his knees the young shinigami took his time gathering his himself, a rather clear sign he was thinking up his next move. He would allow the shinigami all the time he needed, he wanted the individual to demonstrate the neccesary tactical ability to outmaneouver his foes. He would not be able to achieve such a feat with himself but he was certain the young shinigami could present a few surprises. This was readily displayed in the use of his scroll, which as his arms reached within brought out a zanpakuto. If the shinigami took such a deliberate, slow use of time as he was currently doing he would be dead in a real fight. Instead of utilizing this opening, Aurilien simply allowed the shinigami to fully work out his maneouver.
He noticed the glint of reaitsu manipulation begin to form within the young shinigami. Using Kido's was useless, but one must also recognize with whom they use against. He was a Kido master that could rival even the top in the KidoCorps, therefore there was no Kido he had not seen. Ryo's Kido mastery was also not at the same stage as his own, however he did prove to impress him ever so slightly by attempting to fuse two Kido's, unfortunately he did not have the control needed to successful perform both in such a short time frame.
Ryo proceeded to run towards him and perform a ckflip over him. Well, it would seem he did not learn his lesson the first time as he has completely exposed his frame by going airborne, limiting his ability to evade. It would be quite easy in this instance to deliver a deadly strike to the exposed body, but he allowed the young shinigami to finish his maneouver. The reaitsu build up continued and he knew the Kido attempt would soon materialize. Although it was a worthy attempt he would demonstrate that levels in Kido varied greatly, even if one could perform the same Kido.
With a lighting fast maneouver, Aurilien used Shunpo to spin himself around as his legs moved at extreme speed. The entire maneouver took a few milliseconds and he launched his own Byakurai Hado #4, with far more power than Ryo's attempted Kido. His Kido would force its way through Ryo's Kido and send him hurtling to the ground. He did however limit it to a degree, as he did not wish to kill one of his disciples. Once again, Ryo was sent hurtling to the ground as the electricty penetrate his inner core.
He gave an instant for the shinigami to gather his mind from the certain pain he would be feeling now."Ryo, your latest attempt was deviced decently but one must remember within combat, time is never afforded. Your entire maneouver from start to finish took almost 10 seconds. In that time an enemy would have already performed their own counter, not allowing you to have the opportunity to even come close to complete your intended act. As you saw it took me less than a second to perform my own offensive maneouver and I could have done it earlier. You must also recognize the strengths of your enemy. There is a reason why I am the Captain of the Kido division, it would suggest I am well versed in Kido's. By attempting to even manipulate known Kido's to myself would not work as I can recognize their formations the moment one attempts to manipulate their reaitsu for it. Considering that, Kido would clearly not work. You may have also noticed my Byakurai was far more powerful than your own, which is also something that must be noted. Powers will differ in the ability to perform acts regarding the manipulation of Kido's.
Do not feel weak however, you have already progressed within this short time frame as I noted you clearly placed objects while on your knees and not even I saw what they were. You managed to perform one act of surprise and potential if you were capable of completing your maneouver I may have had cause for concern. With this growth I can see the opportunity for yourself to discover the power that lurks within you. Shall we continue, and this time I will not allow you to have the opportunity of time."
He withdrew his own Zanpakuto, holding it at his side, preparing to strike if neccessary.

(Kay, sounds good^^ My character will be undergoing some experimental changes after our training. Im gonna kill him haha. Ill tell you more about it when were done.)
Ryo held up his arms in front of his torso, bracing himself as the white lighting connected with his forearms. Once again Ryo was on the ground. It was starting to become a territorial spot and for a brief second, Ryo thought "Maybe I should just stay on the ground..." Using both arms, they were shaking as he tried lifting himself up. Once he came to his feet his arms were steaming and they almost had a heartbeat where the lightning made contact. Ryo stuck his sword into the ground and used it like a elderly mans cane to hold himself up by the pommel part of the sword. The lightning pulsing through his body made it hard to stand but he pulled it off and managed to stand upright. Ryo clinched his fist to show no sign of pain because emotions were frowned upon in the soul society. "Sorry sir, I will try harder not to kill so much time." Aside from his punk appearance, you could tell from his words that Ryo was well disciplined. Making it easier for someone to work with him.
"Well I guess kidos are out of the question." Ryo thought, slashing his zanpacto horizontally, it unsheathed itself as the glass sheath slid off the blade, shattering on the ground when it made impact. Ryo took the drawing of Auriliens blade as a taunt. Gripping the hilt of his own zanpacto with both hands, Ryo began running at Aurilien and slashing vertically at his left shoulder to his right kidney.

The Kido he unleased power wise was not strong enough to kill, but certainly would bring forth a big shock. It was rather apparent witnessing the distressed physical reaction of Ryo as once more he found himself planted on the ground. His method was one of tough love, but in the in it would prove its worth, allowing Ryo to surpass his current status. He was already impressing on his pure will, as he rapidly found his footing once more, despite the clear effects he was willing to continue as he took his blade and proceeded to run towards Aurilien.
The Captain waited till the last moment, knowing his reaction speed would exceed the attempted strike. He wished to see what approach the shinigami would take and was quite happy to note he had targeted the portion of the body that was the hardest too move, the torso. It was a clear indication that he had a strategic mind. Shifting his own body weight, with great speed he proceeded forward. Typically, one would seek to avoid a strike by getting away from the source, but he understood energy of transfer. The origin of strike was were the energy had to build up therefore it was the area that not only presented the least velocity, but least force. Despite Ryo having two hands and driving with force he was able to easily block the attack with his own sword using one hand since he had not allowed the strike to generate the extent of its power by continuing to build up energy. With his other free hand he delivered a punch towards the kidney of Ryo on his now exposed left side. This would certainly hurt, but now he had one goal and that was for Ryo to search within and find aid in inner spiritual presence.

(I had to make a new character do to the rules that you cant transfer another profile from a different guild. So my character's name is now Ichimu.)
The only thing that came from behind Ichimu's teeth was "Tch". Ichimu was somewhat shocked by Auriliens instant movement but he didn’t let that stump him. Even though his sword was at standstill from slashing down any further, his prowess in strength was dominate because of him having two hands on the hilt and Aurilien having only one. Ichimu saw Aurilien sending a punch to the side of his gut. It connected and was very painful but he didnt let that stumble him either. He kept going and used that chance to force Auriliens blade down till the point where his own blade was pointing at Auriliens neck. A small spark glinted as Ichimu pushed Auriliens blade down with his own blade. Also, Ichimu's stance was perfect. His forward foot faced his attacker, his rear foot faced the outside at a 90-degree angle, and he kept his weight on the balls of his feet with a low center of gravity, bending his knees slightly. Ryos stance provided stability as he leaned to the inside of Auriliens punch, stabbing his sword straight forward inbetween Auriliens sternal head and adams apple while his blade was still resting on top of Auriliens blade.
For a brief second everything went in slow-mo and Ichimu could hear a bird crowing. This was because Ichimu was finally starting to draw out some kind of inner power to fight Aurilien and his zanpacto was responding to his will to fight. The sound was both placid and ominous but it was almost as if his zanpacto was screaming in another room with the door closed, wanting to be unleashed. Wanting Ichimu to find something... Inside of him. Then there was a cheerful teenage voice "Cut him, why are holding back. Dont you know how to fight?" It was almost as if someone was whispering in his ear.
