Blue fluttered open slowly she had began travaling tracking down the males scent that she had spent time with and had heled her to achive the goal she had currently set. She looked to her swollen belly her heart filling with pride before she pushed herself up off the from where she had fallen asleep for a short nap she must have been really tired since it was now night fall. The full moon was high in the sky lighting her path.
She grew closer and closer to where his scent was the strongest. She looked around curiosly one ear resting against her forhead the other staying alert flicking about for any sign of someone around her. She moved toward the treeline moving into it looking around. Forest made her nervous she looked around her frantic now. She was out of her comfort zone but she needed to get to him.
"Dammit where are you!" She cursed out under her breath the cubs in her stomach kicking about as she panted heavily looking to her growling. "Stop it please give me a few minutes of peace to think." She snapped at them while still inside her.
Bwana didn't like to spend his nights in the mountain. Well, on the top of it, actually. It was all too familiar, in a way. When his father had been king and he had been just a cub, that was where he had stayed. Watching as his father tormented the pride members and twisted the laws and traditions of his home to fit his own personal agenda.
It was a little creepy being in the same place that evil being once ruled from.
He moved himself along the forest, looking around for some of the groundlings to converse with. They always seemed more free-spirited than the nobles in his pride, though they had little and the rest of the pride barely respected them. Barely tolerated them. He knew they would not be pleased to see their king going to visit the lions who didn't fit in with the main members of the pride.
It was then he noticed an odd scent on the air. Someone who was not a member of his pride, but known to him all the same. "Is someone out there?" he asked lowly, gold eyes scanning the darkness.
Her ears perked up letting let a heavy sigh as she began to press forward moving through the brushed to come face to face with the male. "There you are I've been looking everywhere for you." She said scolding him a litlte before looking away with a frown. "I thought surely you would come back to check on me...I mean I know I'm not imporant or anything but to a degree I would like to think I have just been tossed to the wind and forgotten." She said sitting down as her size still hidden by the thick tall grass that he couldn't tell their labors had indeed been fruitfull.
"Ah...never mind I don't know why I even bothered." she said turning away from him. "Sorry...i'm not in my right mind." She said quickly taking a deep beath before she moved to get to her feet to turn and leave.
Bwana felt like he had walked into a trap.
"Wha...? Mizu? My word! I didn't think I would see you here in my pride!" He frowned when she looked away, a pang of guilt striking his heart. "I intended to come back and visit you, of course I did! I just... had to work at getting things back to normal here at home. I know it's not much of an excuse... but I was very busy. And you shouldn't say you're not important! Of course you are. I would never brush you off so easily."
He felt like he had, though, even if it hadn't been his intention. Somehow he would have to make that up to her.
Sitting down with her, he watched, tilting his head to one side. In the grass he couldn't see her shape, which left him to wonder why she would travel so far to meet with him again. "Wait! You needn't go rushing off. Please, why don't you come back to my cave? It's empty, aside from the remains of a recent kill. You may have it if you have need- the meat is still very fresh."

She looked to him her eyes seeming to light up with the offer of a meal. "I would like that very much." She said as she leaned against his side a moment. "Let me catch my breath though I travled a long way...and it wasn't exactly easy." She siad laughing.
"I had to deal with some voltures stealing my food a mad stampeed of some wild beasts and the heat." She said looking to the sun glaring slightly before she slowly moved to her feet.
"Not easy travling with the extra weight either." She said laughing a little as she looked to him giving him a small nod. "Lead the way."
"My word, it seems you've had quite the long journey," Bwana replied softly, letting her lean against him all she needed to, "I wouldn't know what to do in half those situations! I'm very impressed. I didn't think-wait, what was that last part? The bit about extra weight?" He blinked, looking at her a moment, before moving his eyes back down towards her belly. Standing, it was much easier to see that she was more round than she had been the last time he saw her.
OH.
"Oh I see!" he said cheerfully, "I'm so happy things worked out! But you shouldn't have come traveling so far to see me in such a condition! I'm such a fool for not thinking to see you sooner! Come, we'll get you something to eat right away! I'll even carry you if you'd like to get off your paws." A strange offer, he knew, but he couldn't help his excitement. Assuming she wasn't just saying that she had gotten fat, she had little Bwanas in that tummy.

she giggled softly looking to the male nuding her softly with her head. "Its alright really...I was getting more worried for their safty back at my pride then waiting for you to come find us." She told him looking her her paws a moment before looking back to him. "I would rather much enjoy some water if you don't mind as well." She said her throat feeling rather dry.
"Of course, there's a pond not far from here," He knew the groundlings wouldn't mind if she took a drink from their water supply. They were a happy, giving lot and he enjoyed having them around, even if other members of the pride weren't quite as interested in the whole thing. As in, their existance.
He led her slowly to the small watering hole, the clear water resting silently. Nothing swam underneath, leaving the whole thing very reflective and smooth, like it wasn't even water at all. "Here we are," he said, coming to stop, "please, take your fill."

She nodded softly moving over to the water leaning over as she began to drink greeily from the water before stretching out not to far from it letting her legs rest as she laid on her side looking to the large bell she now had. '...Amazing is it not?" she said softly as letting her tail flicked over her beflly a little before letting it rest against the ground.
Bwana watched the water as she drank, their once clone-like reflections obscured by the ripples from all the activity. He didn't mind, though, as he knew what he looked like and he was happy to see she was getting the water she needed. The proof was in the movement. Once she had finished, he let his tail swish, his frame shifting so he could get a better look at her now exposed tummy.
"Simply amazing," he replied in a soft awe, his eyes moving back to meet hers for a moment, "Do they... move in there?"

she blinked a moment confused what he was talking about before laughing nodding softly. "Go on rest your cheek against it I don't mind." She said as she laid her head down on the cool earth. "THey migh even want to say high to you."
She closed her eyes relaxing in the night air only to let the open slowly watching him as he moved closer to her. It thrilled her a little to know he seemed to be just as happy as she was with the promise of new life growing inside her.
Bwana shifted on his paws nervously at the offer, not sure if it was really proper for him to press the side of his face against a female. Then again, this was a very special situation. His queen, once she was pregnant, wouldn't let him anywhere near her belly. He imagined, anyway, she would be more interested in trying to bite his head up for getting her knocked up in the first place.
Strange female, but he loved her.
He moved closer, deciding he couldn't pass up the opportunity, and carefully pressed an ear against her belly, expecting that he might be able to hear something shifting around in there. He hadn't realized that he would actually feel it as something shifted. Pulling his head back sharply, he let out a bright laugh. "OH my!" He gasped, "you can really feel them in there!"

She laughed nodding softly letting her head left off the gound one od her legs helping her keep her body balanced. "Yes...and lately they've been rather resless...It won't be much longer till their here I hope you don't mind. I was scared for their lifes honestly I don't know exactly how many there are and it bothers me knowing I won't be able to take care of to many two was hard enough and they where even relaly cubs when i had them they where small little juviniles." She said giggling remebing her adopted children. "A raider is not exactly a good mother raising a large litter on her own." She said before looking to him.
"But a king and his pirde...now that is a fine place for a family to grown." She said telling him in not so many words she'd like him to watch over their children. "I love them dearly but I do not wish to see anything bad happen to them."
Bwana sat back, listening. He let his thrilled air over feeling the cubs fade for the moment, aware that he needed to be serious about things now. With Mizu explaining things about the cub's futures, it was no time to act like a child. As a king, it was his responsibility to know when it was time to focus and act like an adult.
Like, now, for instance.
"I assure you," he said after a moment, "the children will be watched over and loved in this pride. If you did decide that they should be raised in this pride, they will stay in the highest with me, as attendants by name only. They will be no servants of mine- just my children, that I will love and look over. And you, of course, will be welcome to visit them any time you wish. They will never be kept from you. I want them to know who their mother is. How strong she is. That is my condition to keep them- that you visit when you can. I know how busy pride life can be."
