I need s**t to record guitar.
Budget isn't plentiful, so money crunch.

buy a line 6 amp modeling thingamabob. podxt's are pretty cheap now, you can hook it up with usb and record direct.

if you have an interface there are some nice vst plug ins you can download. voxengo or some crazy s**t like that. then snag some impulses to blend with it.

or perhaps you want to mic something up. sm57/58 or audix i5. the i5 is much cheaper used and is much clearer sounding.

which pod? i know the xt allows you to connect the pod via usb.
if you have the guitar port you won't need to pod just plug your guitar right into it.
