Kaydon would most assuredly have to get used to teenagers, he decided. His backup plan for Earako had ended up not being needed, and so today Zyanya would experience the joys of a microscope. Her file photograph worried him, though. If the bat girl had frightened him, this girl was absolutely terrifying. He was still preparing slides at one of the work tables when his student arrived.

Zyanya sauntered down the hallway of the facility, wearing her typcial dark makeup and her hair down up in pigtails , she was the very emobodiment of the goth. Though she wasn't all emo like those...she liked to think herself more punk than goth. Her brightly colored bra straps and the bra its self could barely be hidden by the shirt that seemed to be made out of very thin material.
Hinder was allowed to wallow outside as he was getting too big to really do down the halls. She slammed the door open to the room she was told to go to by the front desk and was surprised to find a man there instead of the woman she had in her first biology class. Her antenna twitched, though the smile spread on her face was less than friendly.
"Yo." She stated with a vague wave of a extra side leg.

Kaydon smiled honestly. Why should an adult be afraid of a student? The very worst he could get was gum in his hair.
"Feel free to sit," he offered, standing straight and wiping his hands on his pants. They weren't dirty. It was simply out of habit.
"You'll probably want to take notes...or not. I may be quizzing you in the future. Now, tell me what you see."
He slid a...well, a slide into the tray of the microscope and focused the lenses before turning them around for the teen to peer through. There were many spheres in the fluid, apparently made of tiny dots with larger, more solid spheres within lazily floating among themselves.

She wasn't exactly sure why she needed to look at these things...but she did as instructed she sat looking half bored out of her skull. She doubted she would bother to take notes. She was the type either she absorbed the information or she didn't.
She looked at the slide and then looked to him with the and? expression.
"So...what is it?" She asked when she knew she had no fathom of what she was suppose to be looking at.

Oh, wonderful. This would be a great class, and also the cactus on his shelf would come to life and explain the meaning of life.
"Those are Volvox," he explained, trying to not get disheartened, "They're a sort of...bizarre, SiFi cell in that they're...hive-minded cells. They all cling together and move together and think the same. The green circles on the inside are young Volvox forming."

Raising an eyebrow at the man she let her pale mint colored eyes flicker back to the the image and then back to him.
"Okay....so they move around like controlled like minded things...aannd? I don't suppose these things have anything to do with dragons do they?" She asked trying to get an idea of why they were looking at these...Vool...xax? Volrix? Things.

Kaydon smiled slightly.
"Indeed not. This is biology, not dragon class, and I regret to inform you that this was the most exciting part." He switched out the Volvox slide with another, simpler one. These cells were moving lethargically, but they were single cells, more apt for teaching to teenagers who knew nothing of biology yet.
"You're to learn about them."

The girl looked as if she was going to stand up and leave. This was a pointless sort of class....who cared about single celled organisms? Taking a deep breath she finallyseemed to settle down she was going to have to grind through this class....she hated to fail anything.
Gritting her teeth she tried to look attentive and failed horrendously.
"Alright...then. So...those ones are obviously less complex than the first.." She stated as she pointed a finger at the new image.

"Ah...yes," Kaydon nodded, "A Volvox is many cells. These are just a single cell. How much do you know about the anatomy of a cell?"
This was going to be a painful, painful class and he would try his damndest to get it over with quick. He was sure they both wanted it that way.

The mantis teen looked at the teacher as if they were crazy. What did she know about cell anatomy?
"How about zero, zlich...nada?" She stated rather sarcastically, "It's not usually something I crave to learn about." She stated as well her last biology class had at least been vaugely interesting since it dealt with her animal DNA.

Kaydon rubbed his temples, brow furrowing. We must...not...hit...the children.
"I'll give you a worksheet, and you can take it home with you. There may be a quiz on it the next time you arrive for class." It really was difficult to keep a child's interest when you weren't talking about their specific animal. It was just how the world worked.
In less than a half hour, the worksheet diagram had been filled out and explained to the most basic degree. The teacher did not feel at all disappointed when he called class to be dismissed, and in fact took a quiet moment at his desk to calm down.
He must not hit the children.

Needless to say Zyanya rolled her eyes and vaugely looked at the teacher though she looked at her her nails more so. She took the hand out looking at it like it was going to give her some horrible bout of brain damage before sighing and pushing herself out of her chair.
She gave a vauge dimissive wave of her own as she excited the room. The likeliness of her actually completing the handout was close to nill.
