But seriously. I myself get frustrated when I check my art and go: WHY AREN"T I FAMOUS YET GRRRR!-but this doesn't happen a lot because I know I have so much to work on! When you find you're in this situation, go to your fellow art friends and ask what you could do to improve your technique. Anatomy, shading, background, and do it.
If you're really serious about a career, a GOOD career in art, then you have to cover all your bases before you can play with the big boys. But don't forget you artists! It takes heart!! Which I know sounds really goofy, but if you love art, you shouldn't care about the wait, as long as you have fun doing what you are doing.
If you are stuck for a few years being a boring painter of cells in some cubical for some animation studio... well... (just don't choose disney cuz they abuse their people, no seriously)... don't worry! You can tuck into your resume this fact and when you feel that its time to move on, you can be all: HEY. I DID THIS. Look at my portfolio. :3
