User ImageAs Nelek pushed farther away from the city of Twillisthi, the brush and trees around him grew thicker. He hated being around so many other beings, even if they are dead, and took every chance he could manage to escape. The esper continued towards his destination - a waterfall deep within Twili Forest.

Although he always had a scowling look upon his face, the waterfall was very relaxing for Nelek. He had always enjoyed the outdoors, even in his former life.

He could hear the water before he could see it; As he grew closer, the it was almost deafening. Readjusting his scarf, he pressed through the barrier of brush to the mouth of the rocky river's edge.

Amalthea swung her legs into the air, it was such a different sensation than feel of stone (or rather, the stone she was sitting on).
In, out, in out. Her breathes were perfectly even, even though all she could hear was the roar of water crashing directly beneath her.
The mist that was drifting up to her was delightful. Simply delightful. Even more so than the mist coming from behind her.
'How did that work?' she wondered idly. The water crashing on the rock was closer to her than the water crashing rather below her was, but it's effect wasn't nearly as strong.
Must be something about the amount of water or whatever.

((And there is my EPIC FAIL))

As the waterfall came into view, so did something else. At first Nelek disregarded the bright blue object as a flower or some weird indigenous plant but when it began to move in a sort of odd fashion, he did a double take. It was a ghostling. She had her back turned to him, they were both facing the water.

The esper scowled, furrowing his brow. What was she doing here. In his spot. Where he usually sat and completed life after death. Alone! He clenched his dark fists tightly and a quiet growl grew in his throat before he erupted, "What are you doing here?!"

Amalthea was started out of her thoughts by a quiet growl followed with a demand. She turned around and smiled.
"Hello," she murmured softly, a start contrast to the harsh tone of the other ghostling. "You ask why am I here? I have no obligation to answer."
Maybe it was cruel of her to withhold an answer...but it had been so long since she had spoken to anyone who seemed like such fun...

Althe turned back to the water to enjoy the mist rushing up at her once more--that and to hide her ever growing smile.

"No obligation?" he scoffed, his amber eyes ablaze. Nelek was already known for his bad temper, but for this female to not give in to his bullying, was almost unheard of. He snarled, exposing a mouthful of tiny, but pointy teeth. His fists were clenched so tightly, his large knuckles were white.

After a few moments, he spoke again. His voice was cold and unwavering, "I guess someone like you has a hard time understanding this, but this is my property. Which means, you are trespassing."

This ghostling was quiet amusing. After all, he looked like he was about to resort to his fists. Amalthea didn't care much for fists though--she might not be a good fighter, but she could evade blows, and she was a healer, after all.

Amalthea causally bushed her back with one hand, "I'm hurt, really," she replied in a soft, but sarcastic voice. "By the way, what kind of insult was that?" she added mockingly, "I'm sure my hair-clip could do better."
That was true, or at least, partly. When she was living, she had this adorable hair-clip that insulted people when she pressed a button.

This couldn't possibly be his property, so she made no comment to his absurd claims. What kind of gullible fool did he take her for?

Nelek let out an agitated huff. "I'd like to see it try," he said cooling, with an eyebrow raised. He folded his arms into his chest and furrowed his brow. He had come out to his spot for relaxation and fun, and now look what it turned into - some bimbo giving him lip.

Feeling slightly defeated, the esper ran his long fingers through his fluffy hair. Although this girl was annoying, he wasn't sure he could or wanted to forcibly remove her from the situation. She was kind of cute, so he might feel some regret later if he hurt her.

Nelek blinked slowly, collecting his thoughts. With a look of grimace across his face, the male trudged slowly to a rock overlooking the water a few yards away. He perched upon the rock and drew his knees up. He drooped his head to rest it upon his knees.

Aww...he wasn't going to challenge her? She liked battles of wit. Even if she wasn't quite proficient at them.
"I had a hair-clip that insulted people, actually."
She decided to tease him, if a bit, maybe there would be some verbal sparring after all?
She didn't, however, expect him to walk away, so she turned to glance at him. He looked kind of tired. And that tugged at Amalthea's strings. She was a healer, even if she didn't act like it most of the time.
"Are you stressed?" She asked, though it wasn't much of a question, she was pretty sure he was under some kind of pressure.

Nelek chuckled quietly to himself. An insulting hair clip? He would actually like to see that. He quickly glanced over to the female. The clip she currently had in her hair seemed pretty ordinary.. 'I guess she doesn't have it anymore..' he thought to himself.

He quickly turned his gaze back to the water when she questioned him. "Mind your own business," he spat. Me, stressed? That is ridiculous. But the truth of the matter was, Nelek was probably always high on the stress meter. But it was not something he could help - it was in his blood, as people say. The esper race was damned even before he became in existence and being a colossus type didn't help much either. So it was against his nature for Nelek not to be foreboding, cruel, and downright emo at times.

"You're stressed," Amalthea stated, not as she would a question, even one that wasn't really a question, but as fact. He was probably a Colossus, she wasn't good at telling the types apart...but, well, maybe.
Should she ask? Yes, no, Yes, no, Yes.
Well, the last rush of mist decided it, "So you're a Colossus?" she asked causally. Hoping that she wasn't wrong and was making a fool out of herself.

Nelek shrugged halfheartedly. "You ask too many question," he grumbled. 'Why does this girl think she knows me?' he thought to himself and furrowing his brow.

Turning his golden eyes slowly to met Amalthea, a foreboding and wild looking grin spread across his face. He slowly outstretch a large hand towards her, baring his teeth. "Would you like to join the dark side?" the esper said gruffly, attempting to beckon the female towards him.

"Sorry, but I'm a Saint," Amalthea replied with a smirk. She was a Saint--actually, she was a healer, not so much a good and pure soul.

"...though it IS tempting,"
she turned to face him, her expression solemn, and lifted her hand, the one closest to him. "I hear the dark side has cookies," she added, her voice as serious as it was before, but her eyes were much lighter, and she was smiling as she brought her hand down to fiddle with the edges of her skirt.

Nelek let his hand drop. "I haven't seen any cookies," he sulked. He had been actually joking about letting her join before.. He was just trying to scare her, which didn't work. 'A saint, hmm?' he thought to himself. 'Perhaps that's why she kept asking what was wrong with me..'. No matter, his ailment couldn't be cured.

He turned back to the water. It looked so serene.. He wished he had brought his fishing pole.

"Of course, they hide the cookies," She grinned, "because if they don't they're eaten way to fast. Who doesn't like cookies?"

Oh, geez. Her skin was drying, even though she was this close to the water, or mist at least.
She eyed the water around her, judging where she would enter. 'Oh hey, I maybe I can splash him?' New objective sighted, Amalthea slipped into the water with a small splash, and made her way to the ghostling a few yards away, making sure to stay deep, deep under the surface of the water.

Nelek rolled his amber eyes. 'Like there are actual cookies' he thought, scoffing. 'This girl is a little weird for my tastes.' Still perched upon the rock, he rested his chin in his hand, with a look of boredom on his face.

He watched the girl as she submersed herself in the river and disappeared. 'Good.' he thought, 'Maybe she's finally leaving..'
