Oh wow, I was accepted. *squees*
I guess I should introduce myself! I'll start with the easy stuff first. Frankie, 22 (23 in two weeks), Australia - Tas.
Been arting around since I was a wee tacker, drawing these really weird faces with glasses that looked like Dame Edna. rofl Started to take art seriously when I somehow conned the principal of my high school to let me drop science and pick up a second art class. Mmmm art. College was interesting, especially when my assessors decided they didn't understand my work and failed me in my second year. Picked up a third year at college to rectify this issue, and in 06 was accepted to the academy of the arts without a qualm. Went through uni, and in those three small years I managed to learn so much, and even managed to get those little letters after my name. Woo! BCA... that doesn't mean as much to me as I thought it would when I started the course, but ah well. 2009 saw me studying fashion design so I could head back to uni this year for an honours degree and focus my work around corsetry (did I mention all my previous work was photography based?) and I learned a whole deal, though not how to make a corset. Lol. Instead of offering me a place in the honours program, I was offered a masters position! I start in mid Feb. C:
That's my art story to date. Haven't sold many paintings, and I'm too lazy to sell prints of my photos. xD I'm a bit of a jack-of-all-trades-master-of-none when it comes to art, because it all interests me.
Here's a random array of images from my random doodlings in photobucket: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v602/GroovyTeacosy/Drawn Art/Kodoma.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v602/GroovyTeacosy/Drawn Art/GirlClean.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v602/GroovyTeacosy/Drawn Art/GeneaBlue.png http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v602/GroovyTeacosy/Drawn Art/Beach.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v602/GroovyTeacosy/Drawn Art/Pokemansss.png
My deviantART is http://groovyteacosy.deviantart.com for anyone interested in seeing a select range of photos (and other stuff).
I should also add that I'm obsessed with shoes. Shoessssss. @w@
Oh oh oh! I love Kirby and Sporkii in the PuriGaia announcement. So adorable. *O* <3

Welcome to the guild! =)
Thanks for sharing your personal art history hehe, always interesting to hear. Especially when it's different from the standard "oh, i was just drawing since as long as i can remember" XD
Congrats on your masters position too! The Australian university system seems so foreign to me XD
I know just how you feel about being jack-of-all-trades, I think I'm the same way.
You're also welcome to post any of your photography here, you've got a lot of cool shots on your dA gallery! We don't really discriminate art mediums (unless it's something really wack like a poo painting or something, though even that might get a good laugh)
Hehe..purigaia..well, somebody had to have their image on there so it may as well be us huh? :b Someone in GCD said I looked creepy...maybe I should go stalk them and demand their soul!

oh hey genea aaahhahahah
i can consider myself jack of all trades myself. i've always considered focusing on one, or mastering them all, but it'd be hard because they all need dedication. art, dancing, martial arts, and cooking. sdjkfhskdh
HEY

HOLY s**t SHOW ME YOURS AND I'LL SHOW YOU MINE

Link with further clarification of what I'm studying. :3 My uni and all. xD
@ Kirby: Come on, that purigaia thing is just so adorable. I also must ask your awesome wife if her hair is dyed and styled or a wig. ;O It's just so perfect all the time. o3o Shall post photography as I get back into it. Hopefully some fashion work too. ;D
@ Drunken: Hey you! :O You're everywhere. eek heart I don't know about collect, but my shoe... amalgamation is reaching epic proportions. I have a permanent pile in front of my fireplace of the ones I wear regularly. That's 15+ pairs. rofl Won't fit in my wardrobe. emo That's fuuuuuull. D: Recently threw out a pair of heels with wheels I made as a sculpture. They weren't wearable (the castors were attached by a mere nail and expoxy resin) and I'd already vultured all the good bits from them for future projects. >:3 Mmm lace.
I also experiment with aspects of period costume. I'm currently interested in Elizabethan ruffs. I've made one so far and I'm on the lookout for some nice vintage lace to make a really pretty one with. o3o

I sometimes wear wigs when I'm feeling lazy to fix my hair but they look more natural than my real hair color razz I like your kodoma piece and your pokemon one, hehehe. The first one is cute and I like your sense of humor in the second!

Ha, cool. C: I need a job that allows me to funk up my hair.
But yeah, as you can see with the stuff I showed, digital art is more fun to me than a serious job. xD I think that I'd be afraid of getting bored of it, should I do it as a profession.
