Okay, I just finished up watching an anime series last night that I really enjoyed but I wanted something else to do. I decided to go to mangafox.com and see if any of the manga I had been reading had updated. After I'd read through the new chapters I decided to see if I could look up some old ones to read through them and pass the time until I felt sleepy enough to go to bed. I ended up searching a keyword in a title that I remembered from 4 or so years ago that I'd always liked but had never gotten a chance to get past the 2nd book. I ended up finding it.
I stayed up all night to finish all 18 volumes. I started from the beginning and I was drawn in by what had initially attracted me to the series in the first place. But as the story progressed and characters began to be explored, I saw my life in the pages. I saw my life: my hopes, my dreams, fears, events, feelings, so many similarities I couldn't look away. I wanted to know how the main characters' lives turned out so I didn't stop reading until the last page. It's given me hope for my own life.
Have any of you ever read anything that powerful? I know it's just a manga and for some of you that's probably silly, but it can be anything: a talk by the prophet or some other general authority, a book off a library's shelves, a quote you saw on a sign. I just want to know if there's anybody else out there who's ever been hit to the core by a book to the point where it's changed them like it has for me.

I remember when we read Fahrenheit 451 in english and a lot of people thought it was the dumbest book ever. I liked it. As I read it more I realized that the kids in class didn't like it because they were too much a part of the society the author was exaggerating to appreciate the book. I thought it was pretty funny.
I'm not really sure if that counts, though. I just thought of it and it made me laugh, because it was like 6 years ago.

Not talks or books persay, at least not that I remember. but there's been a lot of songs from time to time which hits me on the nose. Find them way too easily too. Some scenes I find in mangas and animes fit my life but usually it's just music that fits me to a t.
