The first country to concertedly undertake compulsory sterilization programs for the purpose of eugenics was the United States. The principal targets of the American program were the mentally retarded and the mentally ill, but also targeted under many state laws were the deaf, the blind, people with epilepsy, and the physically deformed. Native Americans were sterilized against their will in many states, often without their knowledge, while they were in a hospital for other reasons (e.g. childbirth). Some sterilizations also took place in prisons and other penal institutions, targeting criminality, but they were in the relative minority. In the end, over 65,000 individuals were sterilized in 33 states under state compulsory sterilization programs in the United States.
The first state to introduce compulsory sterilization legislation was Michigan, in 1897. A poster from a 1921 eugenics conference proudly displayed which U.S. states had by then implemented sterilization legislation.

I was recently in the Hot Topics forum about Healthcare Reform and I was surprised at how many people were like "If they can't afford health insurance just let them die. I don't want to pay for them. Besides, less population is good for the planet."
I wonder how many people espousing depopulation to save the planet would be willing to volunteer themselves.

So my mom is crazy about a lot of vaccine bases being mostly mercury and in recent years there's one for human papillomavirus that protects against genital warts that the doctors want all the kids to get-me specifically. I thought it'd be handy, cause I don't want that nasty crap, but my mom said that when she googled it and researched it on the web there were test subject girls who actually died from it or became seriously ******** (kinda like that cheerleader girl-totally sad, btw, my friend told me about her but I hadn't seen it until now). Of course my mom isn't computer savvy and didn't save the websites, just printed a copy for the doctor (which the doctor must have thrown out cause my mom asked and they didn't find it with my file). Anyways, the whole question I have is whether or not this vaccine is worth getting, because it sounds great to not have to worry about crotch rot.
