So, there's some talk that Kripke is getting warmed up to the idea of actually having a 6th season. Quote: The apocalypse may have to wait. CW boss Dawn Ostroff says Supernatural creator Eric Kripke is warming to the idea of a sixth season.
“I think he’s in that state of mind,” she says. “I had lunch with Eric the other day and he’s really excited about the show right now. I think he feels this season has been really satisfying for him. He’s certainly not running out of ideas by any stretch of the imagination.”
Ostroff, who says Kripke has been “hitting it out of the park” creatively this season, also points to Supernatural’s ratings success as proof the show has a lot of life left in it. “The ratings are up,” she says. “We have more young women coming to the show than ever before. There aren’t a lot of shows that you can say are doing better in their fifth year.” Now all of us here would love to have the boys on our TV screens for as long as possible. There's been talk about this before. First and most important being: How will Kripke top the Apocalypse? Will the show continue to be about Sam and Dean? Perhaps it will be a spin off with Cas? All of us fans have a great amount of belief in Kripke, he always manages to pull things off. Such as the Paris Hilton episode. He somehow knew that chopping off her head would appease the wildest of the fans. What do the rest of you think? Is this idea good, bad, or just plain ugly? DISCUSS!!

As long as the storyline isn't crap, then I say BRING ON THE SIXTH SEASON! I would like to see more of it.
Of course....I would rather them do a rated r movie...hehe. Extra violencey and some nudity...on the boys parts!....hehe parts.
ANYWAY, point is, yes I think a sixth season would be great. I think Kripke and the writers can pull it off.

I certainly hope so. But I mean if the boys are not going to be on the show, or it's something stupid, I might actually stop watching.
I mean, what could be more bad-a** then the END OF THE FREAKEN WORLD!!!

Well... Buffy kinda did the apocalypse.
Repeatedly.
I dunno, there's not really anywhere you can go after the apocalypse.
Unless they go rogue demon hunter and start tracking down the angels or whatever still left on earth.
Or CROWLEY'S BITCHES!
Making sure the deals go down, we ignore the fact Dean would never do that.
I know Kripke said he'd only do it if he had a really good idea.
So he must have a really good idea.

If the plot lines good and not cheesy then I am all for the 6th season.
I would love to have them on longer but not to the point were it becomes bad and were all start to dread it. I believe in Kripke being able to find a way to go on even after the apocalypse.
Maybe a once in awhile appearance from Crowley is good for me. 3nodding
I could see maybe Dean and Sam being body guards, they do kind of own him. He did give them the colt with no hassle.
Plus I want to see the Chuck write the next book series. smile

We do have choices.
The desire for moving on previously expressed by all major players really makes me wonder if we'd see the entire SPN family still together for a sixth season. If they do continue, I hope they're able to bring everyone back. No Sam/Dean/Kripke, no Laura.
If Kripke stays but the boys go, or vice versa, I'd have to give it at least a couple episodes before deciding whether or not to keep watching.

Mainly for the reasons you said. lol. They can show things in movies that they can't on tv, so it would be epic. I'm all up for seeing the boys in another season, but they better keep it interesting. I'd still watch it no matter what they were doing, but I don't want it to drag on forever like Smallville.

As long as Sam and Dean were in it, i'd still watch.
I think they should go back to the urban legends and myths cases. I know there are hundreds more that they can do regarding those!
Kripke must have an awesome idea if he's toying with having a 6th season. Let's hope so.... mrgreen

I still think that the apocalypse doesn't necessarily have to end with this season but has enough fuel to go another. Lol, a while ago there was a rumor about an SPN movie and that’s how I thought they were going to end the series. Pretty epic way to go, they should do it, Firefly did. As long as it keeps on preaching the message of self-sacrifice and family then I would continue watching the show no matter what. It's the reason why I love it so much.
On another, caps-lock note: WE NEED A DOCTOR WHO (TEN, NOT NEWBIE) AND CASTIEL SPIN OFF IT WOULD BE UTTERLY AMAZING I WOULD DIE! : DDD
