Rizu-Sensei
i am in need of a healing spell. my friend's mother has recently been diagnosed with some sort of diabetes that will require surgery if it doesn't get better in a few months. do you know of any that might be helpful? i'd like to have it before the new moon, if that is possible.
You'll need her permission first, if you believe in Karma or a similar system.
If not, or if you want to take the karmic kick, then go ahead.
It would help to have a close relationship with her, but if you don't, it's fine.
I don't believe in writing spells for people or sharing ones I wrote personally, because spells work better when you put your energy into making them. However I can tell you how to write your own. First, you'll need to decide on the type of spell you want to use (e.g. energy working, candle magick, meditation, crystal magick, sigils, talismans, etc.) I'll use crystal magick, candle magick, and talismans as examples. Then you need to decide what elements to incorporate into the spell.
For crystal magick, are you going to use a crystal grid or are you going to use a single stone? Are you going to charge the stone(s) itself or are you going to use it to send energy?
For candle magick, are you going to use the candle to burn something? Or are you going to burn just the candle?
For talismans, are you going for simplicity or complexity? What symbols will you include?
Next, you'll need to decide the types of each thing you are including. Tables of Magickal Correspondences help here. For a crystal magick spell, you may want to use Citrine, Sodalite, or Rose Quartz. For candle magick, you may want to use blue candles. For talismans, you may want to use blue ink, symbols of water, or the names of gods and goddesses associated with healing.
Now you would want to structure your spell. The structure of a spell might go like this:
Clearing of the energies residing in a crystal.
Giving it a blessing.
Charging it with healing energy.
Anointing it with essential oil.
Instructing it to heal the person you have in mind.
Activating the crystal.
I said I wouldn't write a spell, but I figure I might as well to give you a clear understanding of how to do it. So here is a satchel spell. Remember a spell can be as simple or complex as you want, and can include anything your intuition tells you put in.
MATERIALS NEEDED:
-Sodalite
-Lavender oil
-Blue candle
-Small white satchel
-small square of paper
-Blue pen
-Burning dish
-Salt
-Water
PROCEDURE:
-On the square of paper, draw with the pen a simple triangle in a circle. Inside the triangle write the name of the person for whom the spell is for. In the spaces between the circle and triangle, write the effects desired. Around the circle write "By my power I will that [so-and-so] be healed of [this-and-that]. So mote it be!" On the reverse of the paper, draw the alchemical symbol for water, and around it write invocations for the Goddess of healing. Fold the paper in half.
-Take the candle and annoint it with the lavender oil, visualizing it filling with blue-white healing energy. When you feel it is full, light it.
-Light the paper on fire, and set it in the burning dish. See the blue-white light gather into the talisman as it burns. Affirm "Behold, I place the energies of this candle into this talisman."
-Take the Sodalite stone and hold it above the flame. See the blue-white energy from the candle rise and be absorbed by the stone. Affirm "Behold, the energies of this candle I place into this stone."
-Take the salt and cleanse it of negative energy. Do the same for the water, and mix the two.
-Use the saltwater to snuff out the candle and the paper. Affirm "Behold! The flames are consumed by the masculine and feminine energies, and sent out into the universe. By my will, so mote it be!".
-Place the remainder of the candle, the stone, and the ashes from the talisman into the satchel, and give it to the person for whom you are performing the spell (if you have their permission) or leave it in a place where unwanted energy won't reach it, or you can bury it, thus further sending your energy to the Goddess.
