The ring had been been burning a hole in Schmee's pocket and her mind for months now. The kittens were older and getting to the age where they were ready to move out on there own. She had been holding on to the ring since the day they had been taken in the park. That event was long over but still seem fresh in her mind.
'Was it to soon' She paced thinking 'no, the time is right I should put it off any longer, surely Satine will be happy.' Schmee took the ring out of her pocket, the moment Venus had showed it to her she knew it was meant for Satine's hand, it's delicate beauty would suit her, even if Satine was a truely powerful woman.
Schmee sighed and looked up at the balcony leading to the room she shared with Satine and the little ones. She slipped the ring back into her pocket and made her way up.
"Satine?" She moved the curtain from the window and entered. "I was wondering if you would like to go on a walk with me, we haven't spent much time just the two of us in awhile"

Satine looked up from putting up Beni's hair, it had been one of the few times she had been with them but she would soon be leaving the house and wanted her mother Satine to show her more ways to do her hair. "Oh Schmee love that would be lots of fun! I do miss spending time with you." She said with a smile as she kissed Beni's head. "I'm going for a walk with mom, i'll be back later. Keep the boys in check." She said with a wink as she stood and walked over to her Schmee. She hugged her and purred happily. "Any place you had in mind to head to for the walk?" she asked taking Schmee's hand. She purred as she watched Schmee and walked out to the balcony and smiled, waiting for Schmee to tell her which way to go. "I have missed time alone with you. Though i'm glad the kids are here i miss us time." she said kissing her softly.

"I miss spending time with you also." She kissed Satine back, Satine was a wonderful mother and it made Schmee even prouder to have her in her life. "I was thinking we could take a walk be the lake." She smiled thinking back to when Satine had nursed her back to health. She helped Satine down to the ground making sure she didn't slip on any ice."The place where we first really got to know each other. I think it's nice to walk though old memories even if it is to cold to go skinny dipping with you now." She slid her arm around Satine wanting to keep her warm as they walked in the light snow. "The waterfall is frozen now, but it still looks beautiful. Well not as beautiful as you." She kissed Satine and whispered "I still fall in love with you more each day."

Satine smiled at Schmee and nodded as she took her hand after being helped down to the frost covered ground. "The lake sounds good to me! Everything looks much prettier in the snow anyways!" She said taking Schmee's hand as she snuggled against her side. She purred and kissed Schmee's neck and looked around as they walked. "Are you having fun working with the kits on their fighting? And other training?" she asked with a smile as she looked at her. She liked watching her Schmee, she was so pretty, not in the way that Satine was, she knew they were a different kind of pretty but Satine loved how Schmee looked. Warrior sexy with her torn ear and her scars. Her knew shiny armor and her hair all over the place. She laughed at Schmee and purred happily. "I fall in love with you ever time i wake up besides you." she said with a smile as she cuddled against her Schmee as they walked.

"I love working with them, the spirit in little Fox must be from you. He never gives up. and Van is a power hitter, I think he will grow to be bigger then me, Beni and Erasmus are able to hold their own also I'm quite proud of them all. But I'm glad Beni has you, I don't know the first thing about how to do hair...maybe you can teach me that also." Schmee flicked her long hair back playfully and hugged Satine. It was really nice spending time like this with Satine, and cold as it was outside the warmth her heart made overpowered it completely for her. It was like she had her own personal sunbeam shineing on her when she looked at Satine's face.
They continued to walk deep into the woods, the ice covered trees shined almost magically. They left small foot prints trailing behind them in the snow as they went. "I hope you aren't too cold Satine. My fur is so thick I don't mind it much." She ran her hand down Satines side and scooped her up in her arms. "I can't have my princess freezing her feet."

Satine smiled up at Schmee as she talked about the kits and how they were doing. She was so proud of her kids. She smiled as Schmee talked about how she didn't know much about hair and wanted to learn some. "Oh but baby if i teach you some stuff about hair then i don't have to help you do your hair and i love playing with your hair!" She said with a frown as she was scooped into Schmees arms. She snuggled her Schmee and laughed. "I'm not that cold, i'm used to it after living on the streets with my human." She said as she nuzzled in to Schmees neck and purred happily. She kissed her cheek and smiled as she looked around at al the snow. "Its so nice when its all white and covered in snow!" she said as she played with some of Schmees hair. "Are we almost there? I cant stop looking at you love." She said as she smiled.

Schmee purred as she held the girl that she loved more then anything in her arms. "Well I love when your hands get lost in my hair, so i suppose it best if i leave that to you." She kissed Satine. "The snow is pretty, but I'm looking forward to spending another summer in your arms." She looked arond the white forest, it was beginning to open up just ahead. "We are almost there now"
The lake was completely frozen over, She looked around and went to the base of a certain tree. "Do you know where we are?" She smiled and put Satine down "It was summer time, ....beneath this tree is were I first said 'I love you.' You changed my life that day."
Schmee cheeks turned pink and her fingers quivered as she reached into her pocket for the little box. "I Love you, Satine. And I would be honored to have you at my side for the rest of our lives." She opened the box and held it out for Satine. "will you marry me?"

Satine smiled and laughed at Schmee as she looked around at the tree. "Of course i remember this place. Thats the lake i saw you naked in for the first time, when you wernt hurt atlease. You found me while i was fishing and wanted to join. And we fished and then we...Made love here under the...tree..."she slowed and stopped as she saw the box that Schmee pulled out and said that she wanted her to marry her. She covered her mouth with her hands and her eyes filled with tears. "Schmee! Really! You want to marry me!" She said as she leaped into Schmees arms and held onto her tightly, her arms wrapped around Schmees neck as she cried. "Oh baby yes! Of course! Ahh i never thought that you would really want to marry me love! I'm so excited you want me!" she said as she snuggled Schmees hair and then planted kisses all over Schmees face and neck.

Schmee wrapped her arms around Satine, her eyes wet with happiness. "Of course I want you Satine, I want you now more then when we first made love here" She kissed Satine and looked up at the tree as Satine continued to kiss her neck "This is a tree that has seen own love when it was first budding, I hope our love continues to grow strong as this tree with roots deep in the earth giving us the power to withstand anything thrown at us." She met Satine's wet eyes with her own and push Satine's hair out of the way and started to passionately kiss her, holding her waist tight.
The snow fell softly as they kissed. The white flakes standing out in Satine's firey red hair, Schmee didn't want to take her eyes off of her. "I want you."

Satine smiled at Schmee and laughed as she hugged her back and listened to what she said about the tree. She nodded and kissed her happily. "I agree. I hope our love keeps growing like the tree, and with the strength of the tree." She said as she kissed her back and purred. "When don't you love? Why are you waiting then?" she asked with a purr as she kissed along Schmees neck, pulling her down into the snow.

Satine sat up in the snow covered grass and shook out her curls. She laughed to herself as snow went down her shirt and back and looked at Schmee with a large smile. "I cant wait to show the kids the beautiful ring you got me." she said happily as she looked at it on her finger. She smiled at Schmee who was still getting dressed.

Schmee thick fur kept her warm so she took her time fastening her armor, "I'm glad you like it, I didn't think I had very good taste but Venus said you would, I got it from her little shop...well I suppose it's more of a collection." She smiled at Satine. "so when would you like to have the ceremony? Spring or sooner? I was hoping it would just be a small family thing, but if you have anyone close you would like to invite that is fine with me." Schmee blushed a little nervous thinking of Satine in a wedding dress, "You will have to get Beni to do your hair for a change." Schmee stood up and went to Satine wrapping her arms around her. "you will be a beautiful bride." she kissed her softly on the lips. "I'm sorry I took so long to ask."

Satine smiled at her love as she looked at the ring. She was so happy! She wrapped her arms around Schmee as she pulled her close and kissed her all over. "Oh spring would be perfect! Its all pretty and bright and wonderful! And Beni will love to do my hair i'm sure! And Venus did a good job of picking out the ring!" she said with a smile as she held onto her. "Small family thing sounds good to me! And of Course Venus and her kittens and Apollo can come too if they want to!" she said as hse held onto her Schmee and purred happily. "I cant wait to go pick out a dress!!" she said with a smile as she wiggled happily.

"I can't wait to see you in the dress" Schmee smiled taking in this moment to remember for the rest of her life. Satine was Schmee's life now, forever. "I almost don't want to wait for spring, but I understand there is a lot to plan, perhaps we can have it in the garden back at home, I don't know if I want to share this spot with anyone but you. But of course I'll let you call the shots, I'll even let Beni do my hair." She smiled at the rather amusing thought of getting a big fancy updo for the one and only time in her life. "Or maybe I'll just pull it back." Schmee kissed her wiggling bride to be. "You're so cute when you're happy."

Satine smiled at her lover and held her tightly. "Oh Schmee i'm glad your excited to see me in the dress! I'll have to find a perfect one for you! One that will knock your socks off and make you love me even more!" She said as she kissed her and held onto her. "I know love, if i had a dress we would do it tomorrow. But i want to get a dress. And we have to tell the rest of the kids. And our friends. And i have to find a cake. And we cant see the pretty flowers in the garden cause of the snow and i want the flowers to be there for the wedding. To make it all bright and pretty." She said as she snuggled into Schmee and wiggled more. "Arnt i always cute for you?" she said with a smirk as she took Schmees hand. "Come lets go tell Beni and Fox!"

"So cute the sun always shines around you." She kissed the top of Satine's head as they walked back to the house. "Maybe I'll ask Berman to officiate the wedding for us, If that's okay with you." If it wasn't then Schmee would ask him to be the best man. She thought on Birman as a brother and wanted him to take part in the big day as well. "hmm I wonder who we can leave in charge when I take you away for our honeymoon? I guess Fox and Beni would be the best choice if they can stay at home for a couple days. I know they both seem to be dieing to leave and make it on their own." She tightened her grip on Satine's hand. "Maybe we can try for more little ones after we are official."
