Fel Essences Tangible Sunshine:
Quote: There's a song out there that sings about Walking on Sunshine. Most think it a metaphor, but the song writer actually did walk on sunshine; unfortunately the sunshine walkway disintegrated as she walked on it. It seems that this little yellow fragment of wafer like quality came from that walkway! Ten Ton Cotton:
Quote: Not literally ten tons, this bit of cotton really weighs around ten pounds. The cotton plant is was picked from, however, did weigh ten tons. The cotton plant, and the cotton ball, both look like regular cotton. It wasn't until someone tried to pick this cotton that they found out how much it weighed.

Souls Hippopotamus: Hippopotamus The hippopotamus (Hippopotamus amphibius) or hippo, from the ancient Greek for "river horse", is a large, mostly herbivorous mammal in sub-Saharan Africa, and one of only two extant species in the family Hippopotamidae (the other is the Pygmy Hippopotamus.) The hippopotamus is the heaviest extant artiodactyl, despite being considerably shorter than the giraffe. The hippopotamus is semi-aquatic, inhabiting rivers and lakes where territorial bulls preside over a stretch of river and groups of 5 to 30 females and young. During the day they remain cool by staying in the water or mud; reproduction and childbirth both occur in water. They emerge at dusk to graze on grass. While hippopotamuses rest near each other in the water, grazing is a solitary activity and hippos are not territorial on land. Despite their physical resemblance to pigs and other terrestrial even-toed ungulates, their closest living relatives are cetaceans (whales, porpoises, etc.) from which they diverged about 55 million years ago.[3] The common ancestor of whales and hippos split from other even-toed ungulates around 60 million years ago.[4] The earliest known hippopotamus fossils, belonging to the genus Kenyapotamus in Africa, date to around 16 million years ago. The hippopotamus is recognizable by its barrel-shaped torso, enormous mouth and teeth, nearly-hairless body, stubby legs and tremendous size. It is the third-largest land mammal by weight (between 1½ and 3 tonnes), behind the white rhinoceros (1½ to 3½ tonnes) and both species of elephant (3 to 9 tonnes). Despite its stocky shape and short legs, it can easily outrun a human. Hippos have been clocked at 30 km/h (19 mph) over short distances. The hippopotamus is one of the most aggressive creatures in the world and is often regarded as the most ferocious animal in Africa. There are an estimated 125,000 to 150,000 hippos throughout Sub-Saharan Africa; Zambia (40,000) and Tanzania (20,000–30,000) possess the largest populations.[1] They are still threatened by habitat loss and poaching for their meat and ivory canine teeth. - Courtesy of Wikipedia ---- Fly Amanita: Fly Amanita Amanita muscaria, commonly known as the fly agaric or fly Amanita, is a poisonous and psychoactive basidiomycete fungus, one of many in the genus Amanita. Native throughout the temperate and boreal regions of the Northern Hemisphere, Amanita muscaria has been unintentionally introduced to many countries in the Southern Hemisphere, generally as a symbiont with pine plantations, and is now a true cosmopolitan species. It associates with various deciduous and coniferous trees. The quintessential toadstool, it is a large white-gilled, white-spotted, usually deep red mushroom, one of the most recognizable and widely encountered in popular culture. Several subspecies, with differing cap colour have been recognised to date, including the brown regalis (considered a separate species), the yellow-orange flavivolata, guessowii, and formosa, and the pinkish persicina. Genetic studies published in 2006 and 2008 show several sharply delineated clades which may represent separate species. Although generally considered poisonous, deaths are extremely rare, and it has been consumed as a food in parts of Europe, Asia, and North America after parboiling in plentiful water. However, Amanita muscaria is now primarily famed for its hallucinogenic properties with its main psychoactive constituent being the compound muscimol. It was used as an intoxicant and entheogen by the peoples of Siberia and has a religious significance in these cultures. There has been much speculation on traditional use of this mushroom as an intoxicant in places other than Siberia; however, such traditions are far less well-documented. The American banker and amateur ethnomycologist R. Gordon Wasson proposed the fly agaric was in fact the Soma talked about in the ancient Rig Veda texts of India; since its introduction in 1968, this theory has gained both detractors and followers in the anthropological literature . The common name in English is thought to have been derived from its European use as an insecticide, when sprinkled in milk. The fly-killing agent is now known to be ibotenic acid. An alternative derivation proposes that the term fly- refers not to insects as such but rather the delirium resulting from consumption of the fungus. This is based on the medieval belief that flies could enter a person's head and cause mental illness. - Courtesy of Wikipedia

Raevan
Sunshine Hippo Fel Essence: Tangible Sunshine Soul: Hippopotamus Name: Zukushaka Gender: Male Alignment: Chaotic Good Personality: Being a Raevan with a hippo's soul, Zuku doesn't have much social interaction, and hardly makes friends or has people close to him. However, if he sees a person he knows is good - or a child for that matter - being harassed, he will step in to stop the offender. Known as a defender, Zuku stays calm in any situation and focuses on the goal at the time. He knows when enough is enough, and would rather not have blood on his hands. However, Zuku is a very territorial Raevan when it comes to places and people. He may not make many acquaintances or friends, but if he does he gets fiercely protective of them. In some instances, he will even abandon his calm demeanor if he sees one of his friends harmed. He also has claimed various places as his territory in Gaia - namely a small river on the outskirts of Durem - and will fly into a rampage if he sees they've been tampered with. He likes to be on his own, and would rather not depend on anyone other than his guardian, and maybe Kyou as he is the only doctor for Raevens. When in a combat situation, or any situation which involves violence, he follows a shoot first, ask later policy. Quirks: -Agrresive while over/in water - Prefers to eat alone - Bares his teeth when feeling threatened Food Source: Sunlight Zukushaka can feed both at day and night, as the moon reflects the sunlight. It takes him longer to eat at night, however, and he prefers not to do it. Grasses serve as a short-term energy burst. Solar Flares really get him energized - and sometimes aggressive. ---------------Powers:--------------- Passive: - A faint yellow glow is produced around Zukushaka's body, acting as a natural torch. The glow also reflects off of natural stone, illuminating caves and caverns, or what have you. -Zukushaka has a second eye lens that allows him to see perfectly in any type of weather or structure, do to its ability to store sunlight and reflect it back into his retinas. Active: - At the Frei stage, Zukushaka will be able to create small balls of solar energy and throw them at his enemies. On contact, they explode in a flash of light, leaving the victim temporarily blinded and with a light burn on the impact point. Note: This power is not recommended for short range, as Zukushaka would also be blinded by the small explosion.- At the Frei stage, Zukushaka can engulf his fists in solar energy. Punches dealt in this manner result in light solar burns at the impact point. Repeated strikes at the same impact point will result in more severe burns. Note: This type of solar energy cannot be launched like the ball form. Also, the solar energy will be weaker on overcast days, resulting in weaker burns.
Cotton Hippo Fel Essence: Ten-Ton Cotton Soul: Hippopotamus Name: Kuzula Gender: Female Alignment: Lawful Good Personality: Quirks: - - - Food Source: Pollen Kuzula feeds off the pollen that plants release, or from nectar-carrying insects that she touches. She doesn't eat it, but instead absorbs it through her pores. For energy boosts and quick snacks, she can eat cotton. ---------------Powers:--------------- Passive: - Insect Attraction: Insects, specifically pollen gatherers, are naturally attracted to Kuzula by a scent she emits from her body only bugs can smell. It's an easy way for her to gather food. - I speak Plant: Kuzula can understand what plants are 'saying.' By tuning into a channel humans cannot tap into, she can gather the information that a plant's soul is willing to share. This works both ways: she can share information with plants via the soul channel. Active: - Seed Spore: Spores are released from Kuzula's body, and attach themselves to her victim's body. By digging into the host's pores, these spores can sap energy, strength, or speed randomly. At a later point, they may be able to return to Kuzula and inject the nutrients they absorbed into her. - Weight Spore: Another type of spore attack; this power is similar to her Seed Spore power. After digging into the host's pores, the spores suddenly increase their weight by ten times, alluding to her essence's namesake. Depending on how many spores land on the host, the host can be slightly affected or weighed down to a sluggish pace.

Guardian Quote: Name: Deryk Eberhardt Gender: Male Age: 23 Race: Human Occupation: Zookeeper Residence: Durem Likes: Piercings, plaid shorts, concerts, Mohawks, punk music, iPods, tattoos, ska music, skanking, rhythm guitar. Dislikes: Soft rock, preps, jocks, rich people, society, haters, rap, slutty girls, posers. Color: #e00000PERSONALITY : A punk anarchist through and through, Deryk despises today's status based society and government. He feels that he doesn’t need people telling him what to do. The only reason he works for a government funded zoo is because of the animals, which are free of such petty things as government. If he could, he would be a bird, independent and uncontrolled. Deryk is very crude. His humor is directed towards others’ flaws and he finds things like the idea of old ladies falling hilarious. That’s not to say he wouldn’t help an old lady up if she actually fell though. He blows through social situations like a hurricane. He can often be found arguing politics with anyone he can, and gets into verbal fights easily. He lacks a filter on his words, which gets him into some nasty situations with more conservative people. He does have a conscience however, knows right from wrong, and keeps a professional attitude at work. Music is Deryk’s true love, however. If he had to abandon zoo keeping and political ideals for his guitar, he would. He writes about whatever is on his mind, plays how he feels, and is always willing to join in or start a jam session. He dreams to one day form a band that is allows him to speak his mind in a radical way, with a radical sound. His biggest fear is that he will end up falling in line with society once he hits the charts. HISTORY : Deryk was born into a lower middle class family of pencil pushers and fry-cooks. By the Deryk was five, he had heard “I hate my boss” so much that he didn’t like his parents’ bosses either. Then, at the age of seven, his parents divorced. His father, James, won custody of him. James, treated him more like a friend than a son, and Deryk was fine with that. At the age of ten, Deryk had gotten into his first brawl because some kid called him a b*****d. James gave him a slap on the wrist, told him to not do it again, and grounded him. At age eleven, Deryk had gotten in four more fistfights over people insulting him. One child had been hospitalized. He was expelled. James had to ground Deryk for a year after that. That was when Deryk learned to use his words. Deryck got his first taste of politics at fourteen; taxation based on income. At fifteen, he picked up his first Rage against the Machine album. At sixteen, he bought his first guitar and a book for lyrics from a pawnshop and got lessons from an uncle. When he turned eighteen, he graduated and went to college. He quit after the first semester, and took a job at the Durem Memorial Zoom, manning the poop scoop. By age twenty, he had moved up to tour guide, was living in an apartment, and made more than enough to live comfortably. Miscellaneous:He has a pet Rat Terrier Rottweiler mix named Frisco, and he's named his guitar "Franko." I imagine him acquiring a Hippo soul by collecting the soul of an old bull that dies shortly after Deryk acquires an essence.

Ideas for Others Brown Evergreen Leaves:
Quote: Evergreen leaves, as their names imply, stay green all year long. Only when an evergreen leaf falls from its parent tree does it turn brown and die. However, This evergreen leaf is brown, yet alive! Quote: Alp: Alp Image
An alp is a nightmare creature originating from Teutonic or German folklore.
Not to be mistaken with the similarly named Alp-luachra, the alp is sometimes likened to a vampire, but its behavior is more like that of the incubus. The word "alp" is also a variation on the word "elf", and it also is known by the following names: trud, mare, mart, mahr, Schrat, and Walrider. Many other variations exist in surrounding European areas. The appearance of the alp itself is rarely described, other than it wears a hat and can shape-shift.
An alp is typically male, while mara and mart appear to be more feminine versions of the same creature. Its victims are often female, and it usually attacks during the nighttime, controlling dreams and creating horrible nightmares. An alp attack is called an Alpdruck, or often "Alpdrücken", which means "Elf Pressure". An Alpdruck is when an alp sits astride a sleeper's chest and becomes heavier until the crushing weight awakens the terrified (and breathless) dreamer. They awake terrified and unable to move under the alp's weight. This may have been an early explanation for sleep apnea and sleep paralysis, as well as night terrors. It may also include lucid dreams. Alps may also enter the body by becoming a fine mist and entering through the nostrils and mouth, where it can administer its nightmares from the inside, similar to a spirit possession. It also uses a long tongue for this same function, for it is suggested the alp "feeds" on dreams. When an alp attack is sexual in nature, it is said to be extremely unpleasant. An alp will rarely force itself on a victim in this way however, and sexual attacks by the alp are rare. An alp will repeat these sessions until it is repelled sufficiently, for it is quite persistent and determined once it selects its victim, and have been reported to travel great distances to and from their favorite haunt.
The reason it is sometimes associated with vampires is because it may drink the blood from the nipples of men and young children, though women are the preferred victim. The alp favors the taste of breast milk as well. Alps also exhibit an elf-like tendency for mischief, like souring milk and re-diapering a baby. A maid must sign a cross on the diaper or the alp will put the soiled diaper back on it. They also enjoy tangling hair into "elfknots" or chewing and twisting horse's tails. They will ride a horse to exhaustion during the night and may sometimes crush small farm animals to death during a pressing attack. Alps are also similarly blamed for minor illness and milking their cows dry, as alps enjoy the taste of cow's milk as well.
The alp's history originated in the mountainous regions of Germany and Austria. In Teutonic myth and folklore, the alps used to be rather friendly elf-like beings but eventually turned more negative and malevolent. The alp, in many cases, is considered a demon, but there have been some instances in which the alp is created from the spirits of recently dead relations. Children may become an alp if a mother needs to use a horse collar to ease the pain during an extremely long and torturous childbirth. Also, a child born with a caul or hair on the palms may become an alp. If a woman who is pregnant is frightened by an animal, the child may be born an alp. Stillborn infants are also suspected to return from the grave as alps and torment their family. Also, people who have eyebrows that meet are suspected to be alps.
As with the case of werewolves, sometimes a normal human or animal may become an alp during the night. They are typically unaware of their alp exploits and are usually in disguise while doing so. Finding out the alp while it is not active simply requires injuring or marking the alp during the attack and seeking out the being with a similar mark during the day. The person can then be cured if it is found out who sent them the curse, or how they became cursed to begin with. Witchcraft is often the prime suspect in this case.
Sometimes an alp is a spirit summoned by a witch or an evil person wishing harm on another, and sent to torment them. Tricking an alp shall lead you to the sender.
The alp is also well known for its shape-shifting abilities, similar to the creatures from werewolf lore. It may change into a cat, pig, dog, snake or a small white butterfly. It has also been said that it can fly like a bird and ride a horse. The Alp always wears a hat, giving it an almost comical appearance. The hat is known as a Tarnkappe (the literal translation being "Camouflage cap") or "Cap of concealment" (see also cloak of invisibility) which is simply a hat (or though rare, a veil) that gives the alp magic powers and the ability to turn invisible while worn. The hat is visible no matter what shape the alp takes. An alp who has lost this hat will offer a great reward for its safe return.
Protections against an alp include laying a broomstick under a pillow, iron horseshoes hung from the bedpost, placing shoes against the bed or placing a mirror on the chest. Steel and crosses are also used. If awoken by the alp and finding him still there, one can address him by asking him to return in the morning to borrow something or have coffee. It is said it will dash away at once, arriving in the morning in his "true" form for his gifts. Also, plugging up any holes, specifically keyholes, before a visitation will keep the alp out, while plugging them during a visitation will invariably seal him in the room, as they often leave only through their original entrance. A light kept constantly on during the night will also effectively ward off an alp, as they tend to shrink from the light. A sentry may also be employed to wait and watch for the alp to attack the helpless sleeper, and the alp may be driven away if caught by someone not under the alp's influence. Alps also can be weakened by the act of shoving lemons in its mouth if it is to be caught while resting. The alp appears all but impossible to kill, and sometimes even after being turned away it may reappear years later in a worse mood. - Courtesy of Wikipedia

I don't know if I find anything wrong with your Tangible Sunshine, except that [and this goes for both Essences] Kyou doesn't like it when quest Essences depict how Kyou found them. It's like godmodding, y'know?
As for the Ten Ton Cotton, there's a quest Essence quite like it, but it involves a feather. Not sure if it's being actively quested or not, so this isn't me saying "IT ALREADY EXISTS, GET RID OF IT", just giving you a heads up.
