One would think that a Vampire has no blood. False. They do. Red being the primary one. An adaption made for Vampires through the High Council and compliments of the Valentin Coven, but otherwise, a Vampire's blood is black. Black as the soul purpose of Vampires, black as the darkness that consumes them, black as the unknown.
The unknown, something that Markus Wolfram-Fowl hated the most. Too full of surprises; that was what the unknown had in storage.

A very bad place to enter... Markus thought, noting the scent of dead flesh everywhere he went, causing his throat to go dry as the smell of iron slowly became the shackles around his arms. No, he would not let his temptation get the best of him. He had been through worse then this, and he had always made it out alright, and he did have the ultimate weapon of surprise. He was sure that the creature thought he was dead, but that was his hypothesis, and usually there was always the 20% chance that there would be contradiction. Why 20%? Markus liked even numbers, and from experience, this was an assurance that he had to take precautions. Overestimation was the fault of many, and Markus didn't have to live as long as he had to understand that.

He slowly made his way through the hallways of the sickening smell of the plastic gloves, sanitizers, iron, and death. Not too mention old people. He never liked old people...them and their canes, beating poor little children up. He wanted a cane, but not for the purpose of beating up kids, but to entertain people. Dancing, while moving the cane back and forth, improvising was the way to go with canes. But he knew that the canes weren't to hit kids with. That was his little joke when it came to Hollywood movies, with old people raising their sticks up high, shaking them in threat to the troublesome three-o. It was entertaining to him, but when you have lived for what seems forever, and when you know that you can't die easily, what's the point of not being random? Was the imagination's number one rule to make-up scenarios? If it was, they why so serious?

Markus placed his hand on the hilt of Chaos, the rubber gloves that appeared to look like leather caressed the hilt for assurance that he had a weapon if all else failed. He didn't like how he had managed to get himself stuck in a place like this. It wasn't his style to enter a place that you know for sure would have dead people, and undead. Wait, people how die in their death beds, could they still be turned into zombies? Markus wasn't too sure about that, but it was that small fear that held him tightly, along with those that were in comas. Would they wake up once infected, or would they be beyond repair to be dead? And if they were infected, would they wake up from their coma? Didn't he asked himself that already? most likely, but he liked thinking to himself, for it had brought company to him through the eerie silence that seemed to have stayed for the time being, but the silence was soon disrupted by the banging of zombies that were in locked rooms. He loved hospitals...every room was locked. Now he just had to worry about the nurses and doctors that weren't locked up, and patience and the hosts that brought the virus in, yet Markus knew that there was very few people in the hospital. Many of them had gotten out after the evacuation was announced, and it was the scent and how quiet it was for a hospital.

He reached for his hand gun when he heard some movement going around. At this moment, he wished that he was human, just so that the suspense feeling wasn't new to him, and nor was the suspicion that clenched the inside of him. He was a Vampire, and Vampires had little to no emotion, and they did feel emotion, confusion would win over it, and depending on the emotion, Markus couldn't tell if it was easy to regain it or not. But he knew that the one impossible thing for a Vampire was understanding. A Vampire would scoff at a regular human child playing by themselves int he sand, shouting out rather interesting things, where as a Vampire child would not do such a thing. Instead they would act mature and learn the sadistic ways of the Coven and Council.
That did not matter at this time, all that mattered was that he could hopefully find survivors with the help of the small team that D.A.R.K. had sent out.

"Careful Fowl, this isn't Halo, you don't need to act like a hero and pretend that there's aliens..." one of the D.A.R.K. Operatives muttered.
Markus froze where he was. He had been caught. "Shush you! I have my reasons for acting like a hero in Halo, looking for a life form unlike my own. On that is different from mine. And there is Aliens, we just call them 'Zombies'. Silly Patrick," Markus responded to the man.
Markus stopped for a second when he heard some rustling again. Speaking wasn't a good thing in cases like this.
Zombies were strong, but they were easy to drag down, not too mention Vampires don't easily get sick. Most would say that they would never. Once again, that was false. Vampires were never all that power. Sunlight was a different issue, but that would have to be saved for a different time.
"Patrick, who left the group not too long ago?" Markus asked, noticing a D.A.R.K. Operative smell, emitting from a room close to his.
"No one, sir. Why do you ask?"
"Then obviously someone from D.A.R.K. has been sent here earlier..." Markus thought, not liking that observation of deduction.
