AIM LOG: Syrius Lionwing & _ p a o cx His deep sunrise coat sparkled with white speckles so his coat looked akin to the night sky he was walking beneath. The only difference was that the star upon his forehead was star shaped unlike the true stars above. Looking up to the sky, he sighs a gentle, pleased sigh, it was good to be alive, to be young and free and able to go where ever he liked. The world before him leveled out and he had no wish to stop moving yet, so with head high and tail twitching in a jaunty manner he breaks in to a level trot.Night...oh night. Oh great. The leopardess sighed as she made her way slowly through the rogue lands. In actuality she had no destination. She now lived the life of a vagabond, simply wandering and going wherever life may take her. Night was her greatest enemy, no doubt. She had difficulty finding shelter in the daytime and thus always lacked a proper place to sleep at night, which in turn causes her to not sleep because she feared for her life. Her father had told her long ago that it was dangerous to sleep out in the open, and no matter how much she deplored him she couldn't help but heed his warning. And so she went, the limp in her front paw becoming more painful by the second. She would stop soon...but not just yet.Sirius paused in his short trotting bounce as he spotted a lighter coat on the horizon. She stuck out like a sore thumb, she seemed to be lost, or just very alone. Frowning he made a beeline towards the pale femme, his dark coat appearing through the shadows as he closed in. "Hello, are you alright?" He paused a decent distance from her, he didn't want to frighten her, he was a male leopard after alla nd he was fit and healthy, she seemed to injured, hurt and afraid to wish a large leopard to come too close to her. He didn;t want a scratch on his fine pelt after all. He chuckles inwardly sitting slowly and carefully os as not to frighten the skittish little femme any more than she already seemed to be.An unfamiliar voice sounded from a fair distance, and Kat's pink eyes narrowed. It sounded male, and though its words seemed sincere she'd always been a little mistrusting of the opposite sex. Her reaction was something to be considered normal for the leopardess. Once she caught sight of the other she took a seat, lifting her head in a poised manner as she looked him over. "I am," she replied, her voice sounding rather neutral as opposed to its usual icy tone. "And good evening." She was rather grateful for the random encounter, as it allowed her to take a seat and actually rest for a moment. The ache in her paw had started to lessen as soon as she'd taken her weight off of it. "Do you always worry for others you don't know?" she asked, her mind still on his rather curious greeting. The dark male shrug his shoulders, she seemed a bit stand-offish to him, it didn't matter, he hated to see a lady in distress, even one that didn't seem to want him there. "Yes, I hate to see people in trouble, it's this whole, having a conscience thing you know?" He smiles a little quirky smile which would amount quite easily to a snide grin if his eyes weren't so full of the sparkles of happiness.
"Now, tell me, can I be of assistance to you? I'm not much of a healer but you seem a bit lame."

"I was born with it," she curtly replied. "There isn't anything anyone can do about it, and I've grown to accept it." She moved her eyes from the other leopard to other things to keep her mind off of her insecurities concerning her bad leg. "But no, there's nothing you can do to help me. Unless, of course, you happened to pass a spot where I could maybe, possibly lay down to rest for the night." Her hopes were practically non existent, as far as that was concerned. If anything she added that last part as a vain attempt at sarcasm.
Raising both brows he looked at the leopardess for a moment contemplating if she was begin sarcastic or simply rude about needing a place to stay, she was an adult after all shouldn't she be able to find a place of security for the night? Clearing his throat he shakes his head a little "You're most fortunate you ran in to me lady, i know of several places you can squat for a night and a day or a week, which ever tickles your fancy." He turns and starts to walk away from her "Come on then, you know I used to know a really good healer, could strap a leg so tight your leg wouldn't hurt at all. Course, he was a two leggier, none of them around here, this bit of the savannah is fairly useless for anything really, 'cept sleeping and maybe running."
Kat followed quietly, letting out a little chuckle at the last word of his little monologue. "Running, yeah. That's exactly what I could use all this area for." The leopardess wasn't normally so rude to someone willing to help her out, but she wasn't really in the greatest of moods after all. That was her excuse. She stayed a good distance behind the obliging male, her eyes moving from him, to the sky, to the land, and back again. It seemed like their walk would last a while, and though she tried to find something to talk about nothing really came to mind.
Sirius looked back at the young female and shakes his head "So, you seem a bit lost and alone, run away from home?" He chuckles a little, the phrase was a silly one, but he knew what he meant, the young femme seemed so alone in herself that she must be used to being in some sort of colony. "Used to live in a colony myself once, long ago before i met the two leggers. Course that times past now." He turned a little in his tracks and headed in a slightly different direction, he knew where he as going and he was trying to keep up beat about the grumpy leopardess, sometimes aches could make you more angry than you truly meant to be. He knew that all too well.
"Only family," she answered back, almost absent-mindedly. "Never sat too well with me my whole life, so I bolted when I got the chance. I've been on my own since then." Her voice was distant as she described her old family life. She'd never been too fond of that whole situation; a lot of it she'd already blocked out of mind. "There was seven of us including me, so we were maybe our own little colony." Kat's mood seemed to worsen the more she spoke of them, so after her last statement she decided to think of a different subject. "Anyway, my family's old news to me. Where are we going?"

"Families can be hard work, s'why I like to be on my own these days, might settle down some day." He pauses and tilts his head in the direction they were going "Rocks over there, plenty of brush in-between if you wanna sleep under the stars and theres a few crevices you can stick your back in and keep yourself comfortable." he pauses for a moment and smiles "s'best I can do for this particular area, we're a days walk from any decent tree like area, possibly more for you, I can point you in that direction though, if you like, personally theres nothing better for myself than a good tree under my bum and a green canopy over my head." He picked up his paws again then and continued to walk.
"I don't have much faith in the so-called 'family'," came her reply, then she went quiet again as he spoke. Her eyes followed the direction he'd tilted his head, though she couldn't make out any of the things he was describing in the dark. She just.. believed it to be true, else he wouldn't have wasted his time or effort. "Anything's fine, so long as there's some sort of shelter. Besides that, I'm not the greatest at climbing trees, so I'd much prefer the ground." Unlike most other leopards, Kat had difficulty with trees and the whole climbing thing. She had a bad fall when she was younger and so is a little afraid of heights.
Staying quiet as she spoke the dark, night sky leopard shook his head, clearly this girl was angry with the whole concept of family. Sighing lightly he presses on and soon enough his paw touched the first smallish rock, ahead of them rocks rose in odd mounds blotting the flat savannah. "Here you go miss, can't miss it from here, I'll be heading back the way I was going now, the nights my plaything and it's running out."
When they'd reached the area he'd been leading her to, Kat moved a bit ahead of him before turning back around to bid him goodbye. Seemed he had no intention of staying the night like she did, which was no surprise and a bit of a relief to her. "Alright, well thank you for taking me here then," she said as pleasantly as she could. "I'm sorry to have inconvenienced you though. Perhaps I can make it up to you some other time, if we cross paths again." She offered him a little smile, as best she could muster in her current mood. "For now, though, I'll say good night." And so she made her way towards a flat, but well hidden area and lay down to rest for the night.
