I like cornery goodness also - but I think maybe just "Fashun" should be on the side, while "Announcement" is at top completely?

Yes
its because for some stupid reason the announcements auto center all the text unless you tell it not to
and I didn't think about the banner part so I only put the code around the text part
and theres no preview button
Edit: I wonder if theres a forumthread thing for suggestions on improving announcements

Yeah the text is messed up in announcements too
It was supposed to look like this because I used size 9
I'll use 10 or 11 next time
