Set in a wide open area, the terrain is a snowy field, the white snow blanketing the ground and falling from the sky, gray clouds blotting out the blue sky and the sun. This is where the battle between the two remaining shinigami and the Las Noches leader.

A garganta ripping through the fabric of the world, three shinigami were thrown from within, landing hard on the cold snowy ground. Slowly walking after them, was the shinigami and leader of Hollows, Asuma. His blade still sheathed at his side, Asuma's face was blank, and stepping from the garganta, he softly landed on the ground, his hands moving inside his pockets. Eyes closed as always, Asuma just stood there.

"Get up."

It had been a rather rough ride for himself, Zetsuya wasn't really quite sure if it had been as rough for his companion. Either way, the shinigami's icy blue eyes looked about. It was chilly for certain, but the climate was far from anything he couldn't handle. It seemed that Kurenai was enjoying the scenery for the brief moment, as Zetsuya took it in for himself.

"Now, now Kurenai... It'll be some time before we can immortalize this landscape..." the captain mumbled to himself, as he locked his gaze upon the only foreign entity to him. The shinigami before him. Who was this man? It felt somehow... sinister. "I demand that you announce your name and position in the seireitei!" It was probably quite pointless, seeing as he hadn't seen this particular man before.

Simply standing there, Asuma would have given the shinigami a bored look if he wasn't blind. Still, though, he could see Higure, Zatsuya, and the other shinigami on the ground, their blue forms clear in his own perception. Higure, however, had a slight tinge of green running through him. Asuma wouldn't say it aloud, after all, he didn't want to yet. He was there because they had encroached upon his domain, and he hadn't been very happy about it. "So, you came all the way to Las Noches without even knowing your target. I see Higure is helpful, as always." His right hand moving from his pocket, Asuma's hand went behind him, pulling on the hilt of his zanpaktou, the blade coming easily from within the sheath, spinning it so it's blunt cleaver-like edge pointed forward at the shinigami who spoke. "Asuma Haruka, ex captain of the eleventh division. Las Noches leader, if you must know." Suddenly, Asuma's reiatsu exploded around him, a crimson tornado starting to whirl around him, moving the snow away from him as he stood there. His snow white hair moved slightly, his black and crimson clothes doing the same because of the wind created by the release of his reiatsu. His left hand moving form within his pocket, Asuma stood there, his blade gripped in his hand, not moving from where he was. "Now get up, shinigami."

Former captain? Leader of Las Noches? That meant one thing to the sixth division captain. Traitor. Biting his lower lip, Zetsuya wasted no time, unsheathing his zanpakuto. The raven haired captain made no major attempt, as he looked upon this odd traitor. The reitsu burst catching him unaware. He strained to stay upon his feet, though it seemed that was difficult enough. Just what was this shinigami? Could he be called a shinigami? Zetsuya shook his head briefly, rising back, ready to fight. He wouldn't be pushed around so simply.

"Ye lord! Mask of flesh and bone, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Truth and temperance, upon this sinless wall of dreams unleash but slightly the wrath of your claws! Hado number thirty-three! Sōkatsui!" the captain announced. His bakudo skills were the true master work for the captain, however, it was clear to him that he had to begin on the offensive, the blue projectile firing toward Asuma.

"I am sixth division captain, Zetsuya al'Thoum," he announced.

Feeling the wave of blue fire coming at him, Asuma simply let his blade stay in the air, as his reiatsu started to build in the blade, a crimson ball forming at the cleaver-like edge. Quickly expanding to the size of a softball, a green ball appeared within the crimson one, just before the ball was complete. Standing there, Asuma simply let the ball fly forward, not moving as the large kido raced at his small reiatsu ball. But it wasn't always size that determined the winner. the kido was large and spaced out, while Asuma's ball was small and concentrated. As soon as the two attacks got within ten feet of each other, Asuma's crimson and green ball suddenly lengthened, turning into a spinning oval of energy that flew into the kido, exploding as soon as it got within, making the fire explode outwards, with a hole in the middle that allowed Zetsuya to see Asuma, though was it him? As the explosion ended, a quiet swishing sound could be heard behind Zetsuya, as Asuma appeared behind him, his left hand pointing at the captain's left shoulder, his first two fingers pointing outwards.

"Byakurai."

A deathly chill settled over the landscape of Las Noches, and the air itself began to thicken, blacking out the moon and the stars and casting the world into total darkness.
"BAN-KAI!" The shout echoed out through the silent scene, shattering the ground with its intensity, and sending out a cloud of dust two stories high.
As the dust settled, a strange sight befell those who were present on the battle field.
A man, clad in only the bottom half of a shinigami uniform, and a strange mask resembling a painted mimes, and pulsating with hollow energy, stood before the two captains and the Vizard. From the man's back, two pale white wings sprouted, resembling those of a fairy, but larger, stronger, and somehow menacing, despite the slight twinge of femininity.
In his right hand, he held a solid black zanpakuto with a pure white butterfly for a tsuba. Strangely enough, there seemed to be no other change besides the appearance, and no hint that a bankai had been released.
Until the man spoke..
"Asuma." His voice cut through the air like a knife, laden with malice and distorted slightly, as if two voices were juxtaposed on top of one another, one high, the other low. He moved with lightning speed, grasping Asuma's hand as he cast the kido and sealing off the energies with a burst of his reiatsu, then shoving back hard, throwing himself wide of the vizard. "DIE!"
The ground erupted, cascading into chaos and twisting back and forth between various scenes. Morphing the landscape into utter chaos.
The sounds of a thousand thousand screams echoed out across the plains, as each man, woman, child, and hollow alike would see their worst fears and weaknesses laid bare in this nightmare. It did not last long, however, as the masked man spoke again.
"Soudai Sakkaku."
The chaos vanished, replaced by an ultimate calm that seeped into every person present. The darkness seemed almost soothing, peaceful.
Then it began.
One by one, blades as thick as a skyscraper, and sharp as razors, rocketed out of the ground, smashing into the sky to a point where the tops could no longer be seen.
They closed in rapidly, moving like a sprouting forest and coating the sands with a silver gleam. When it was over, only a small portion of the ground, the area where the masked man and the two captains stood, was left untouched by the nightmare weapons.

Shin took a moment to let the 12th captain's bankai take effect and to restore peace to the realm. It was lucky that he had been exposed to this enough times to keep his calm. Sure, his usual partner couldn't do it, but than again, he couldn't do it's upgraded form. He glanced at the Vizard and began: "Ye lord! Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! On the wall of blue flame, inscribe a twin lotus. In the abyss of conflagration, wait at the far heavens. Hado 63! Sōren Sōkatsui!"

A twin blast of fire ran rapidly toward the Vizard. Shin didn't expect it to land. Not by a long shot. Instead, he quickly released Shikai and glanced at Zetsuya. The two knew each other well enough to know what Shin wanted. To have his sword struck. Hopefully, they'd have time.

((WHOOPS. Forgot to mention this. No one knows that it is Higure. No one has seen his shikai or bankai in the actual storyline, and no one knows that it was him that came along.))

((Except Asu biggrin Cause he knows the feel of your reiatsu as well as your shikai/bankai back when he was a captain with ya biggrin ))

Smiling as he felt Higure run at him, Asuma simply stood there, as his kido was redirected and then nullified, and as Higure went into bankai, as well as what might have seemed like a resureccion, if Asuma could have seen it. However, he couldn't. Smiling to himself, Asuma simply stood, moreover jumping backwards as the technique was used, morphing the surrounding area. Even with the screams from all around him, Asuma did not flinch, nor did he even stop smiling as he went backwards. As soon as the blades appeared, Asuma simply stood there, as his form was engulfed, and he was hidden. While it may have seemed Asuma was killed by the attack, or at least hit...was soon changed. "Bankai." Reiatsu exploding outwards, the blades that had apparently encased him shattered, their metal pieces flying onto the ground, their long blades falling onto others, causing them to fall as well. It seemed as if buildings were falling, with the sounds being made. Through it all, the only thing that was where Asuma stood were white feathers, floating harmlessly in the wind.

Or were they.

"Tenshi Konmei"

Already behind the three captains, Asuma had sprouted two wings, metal appendages being their bones, and the metal feathers sticking outwards. They seemed like harmless wings, though the feathers than fell to the ground quickly cut through the metal that had made up the base of the swords that had encased him. Moving his right hand outwards, some of the feathers from his wings flew off, collecting into the form of a sword in Asuma's hand, snow white and the size of a regular katana. Slicing outwards behind the three of them, feathers flew from the sword, flying forward. If they hit, or even touched the shinigami, they would be like saws, tearing apart at whatever they hit. "It is you who will die, inside this illusion you created."

This was quite a predicament. Granted, he was never the greatest when it came to hado. The bakudo was where he focused mostly. However, Zetsuya hurried back, using his shunpo. Speed. That was where he focused. His techniques wouldn't work well if he didn't. The strange one. The reitsu which felt so similar, and so different. He was attacking the former captain though, and as such... There had to be something to him. He'd have to worry of identification later. Assistance was required.

"Captain Shin! You know how it goes," Zetsuya uttered aloud, as he caressed his zanpakuto. Kurenai was a was a precious spirit. One that would be pretty petty. Either way, he placed it, pointing off to the side. "Ban-kai!" It was a simple enough statement. It was going to be good enough for him.

"Kurenai Unpitsu no Shusseigun!"

It always felt odd. The brushes were no more than his fingers, the long threads spreading from his fingers, as the canvas constructed itself behind him. He had to waste no time. He dashed into the air, already beginning to make his brush strokes. The tennin would help greatly.

Upon seeing Zetsuya use his bankai, it seemed like the best idea to use his. Certainly his friend wouldn't use bankai unless he felt it was needed. He rushed forward aways in front of him before releasing his.

"Ban-KAI!" He yelled, allowing his blade split into two between his hands and 7 large tuning forks burst from the ground, in a circle formation. He was at just one of the ends. "Chougen no za Zougeiro." Immediately following he started bashing the blades of his zapankuto together, otherwise he felt he wouldn't rightfully be prepared to face whatever it was was in store. As he did so, he looked about the darkness around them, and paid close attention to the metal wings their opponent had to use against them. He was very lucky very few were sent their way. They looked dangerous.

The man laughed, clearly amused by Asuma's antics. It seems that in his absence, the ex-captain had forgotten many things about him.
"They are not illusions, fool." He hissed, the said-same twin voices echoing out into the darkness. "This is my reality. Within this sphere of never-ending night, you are in my world, and I am its god." The remaining blades on the field shattered, as well as the ones that Asuma had knocked down, each of them dispersing into the wind like sand.
He raised his right hand, pointing it at Asuma and the oncoming feather blades. One by one, each blade was instantly pinned to the ground by a large slab of black stone, which then melted into the ground, taking the blades with it. Walls of steel, thirty feet thick and lined with Seki seki stone, rocketed skywards, enclosing Asuma in a three-walled room, with only one wall open, and facing the masked man.
"You have become even more blind, living in this darkness, Asuma." He said softly, with almost a hint of regret in his voice. "You have forgotten my power, and have since become arrogant and brash. Goodbye, old friend."
He turned on his heel, flash-stepping away from the room, which in the breadth of a millisecond, sealed off into a proper four-walled structure, and expanded to thirty yards thick, even the roof and floor, and became pure seki-seki stone.

((Seki-seki seals off spiritual power, in case you were wondering.))

"Life is an illusion, fool. And that includes anything made by a self proclaimed god." Within the space of Higure talking after sealing him in a three walled room, Asuma had used the fastest speed he could muster, leaving behind a ghost of himself, effectively undiscernable from the real him. In that amount of time, Asuma had already gotten behind Higure and the others, using his speed to instantly move to another place, effectively making himself invisible if they were unable to see his first move. As the room of seki seki sealed itself off, Asuma sighed, appearing once more thirty meters behind the three, his back to them. Turning around, Asuma's face was covered by a snow white wolf's skull, his hollow mask. Pointing his hand at the three, Asuma only sighed, shaking his head. "It is you who has become blind, my friend. You sought that which had alluded you for so many years. You were the one who brought me upon yourself. I had conceded to live in a life of solitude. Arrogance, arrogance is what you have gained in my absence. Let me remind you of something..." His voice taking a flat tone, Asuma's blade in his hand suddenly grew longer, as the wings on his back suddenly turned into reshi, combining with the elongating sword, quickly turning into a naginata in his hand, the pole seven feet long and the blade three. A long red tassle appeared where the pole and blade met, hanging limply from the weapon.

"Cry out, Konmei."

Suddenly disappearing from sight, the three shinigami would soon find that they could only see the area directly around them, about ten feet wide, their hearing and other senses doing the same. Releasing a high frequency sound unable to be heard by human ears, the sound overloaded the brains functions, causing the brain to limit a person's senses to a ten feet bubble around themself, unable to sense, hear, or see anything beyond it. This was Asuma's world now. Standing in the same place he had been, unseeable by the others because of his distance from them, Asuma spun the naginata in his hand, stopping it as the blade pointed to the air, reiatsu gathering at it's tip. Moving his left hand up to his mouth, Asuma bit his thumb, throwing his hand up, a brop of blood flying into the reiatsu. Taking on a snow white appearance, the Gran Rey quickly charged, firing into the air. Though, it was intentional. Controlling the attack, Asuma had it split into three different beams, each on going at a different target. Not being able to sense it until it got within ten feet of each person, it would be interesting to see how they would react to the attack.

[And THIS, is Konmei's power. Effectively overloads a person's brain and senses causing them to only be able to see, smell, sense, or hear anything within ten feet of themselves. though it looks like it's simply a black haze to the person being affected, moving will just make the bubble go with you. Lol. Now the fun begins]

Such oddities. The masked assistance. His bankai having such strange abilities. The only thing he was familiar too was simply Shin's bankai beside his own. Kurenai's canvas was interesting enough, seeing as it was far from stationary. The large canvas drifted, as he dashed back from the target, as he settled some ways away as everything became dark. Regardless, Zetsuya could still witness what he was painting. Mostly. The shinigami captain was within the air, stroking still. And the first one was complete. It still had to keep going.

"Now Kurenai! Bring forth Tennin!" Zetsuya announced, though everything wasn't quite proper. Granted, the tennin would be far more free, though it was completely foreign to this skill of this Asuma. Would it get any worse? He couldn't allow it.
