She... she was perfect, everything about her was perfect and against all odds she picked him, out of millions and billions of other lions in the world she had picked him. She was his miracle, his one true friend, his one...
He had awoken beside her this morning, and for once felt something more than friendship for her, he felt... he felt something a lot deeper. This was strange to him, but he also loved it. He loved this feeling. He loved... he loved her.
"Hey."
He nudged her softly his a paw, as if trying to wake her up.

Kirana shifted uncomfortably in her sleep, her peaceful dream was beginning to turn into a nightmare. It had begun with her finding Ravii in the middle of a field and being sooooo delighted to see him but before she could get to him something snatched him up and away. Luckily for her before things could get much worse she heard her companion's soft call and felt the slight nudge.
"Mmm?" She mumbled groggily opening her eyes and looked up at hi. She found herself grinning at the sight of him. "Hey yourself," she replied sitting up. Just seeing him made her so happy, she felt her stomach bubble with happiness.

He smiled back down at her noticing just how pretty she was in the morning. She seemed so happy all the time, he loved that about her just as much as he envied it. She was his missing half, his better half really.
"You seem so tired still, want me to let you rest more?"
He only wanted her happy. This feeling so strong and new, he just wanted her happy...

He complimented her personality so well; she was energetic and happy while he was more mellow and reserved but it was something she loved. At her question she shook her head. "No, no," she replied, "I'm fine I promise," she told him. She didn't want to go back to sleep worried that her dream would continue from where it had ended.
"I can sleep later," she scooted closer to him resting her head on his shoulder. "I'd rather be awake with you than sleeping without," she commented knowing that even if she was sleeping he'd stay. He wouldn't leave without telling her.
"Is something on your mind?" She asked pressing her lips together in thought.

He should tell her.
"Um. No, not really. Were you dreaming? I woke up because I felt you moving around in your sleep."
He spoke out with a slow nod, sitting down beside her. His tail curled along his back paws as he glanced at her with his bright eyes, smiling.

She frowned, it felt like he wanted to tell her something but wasn't going to. She wouldn't push him though, it wouldn't be right, especially if it was about his grandmother, she already told him she wouldn't push the matter. "My dream?" She repeated wrinkling her nose. She wasn't sure she really wanted to tell him. It wouldn't do her any harm.
"I dreamt of you," she started smiling as the first part of the dream came back to her. "I found you," she frowned furrowing her brows. "Then a bird-like creature came down and snatched you away from me," she shivered at the memory. "I don't understand, I'm no seer," she told him shaking her head. "So I don't understand what the bird creature could've been."
She had never met a god.

He knew what she had dreamt about.. he knew all too well. His eyes narrowed as he nodded and looked away from her, his muzzle parting slowly as he spoke out softly, as if trying to keep him cool.
"I see..."
He wouldn't think too much of it, but, he also couldn't forget it. Her dreams were like his were many years ago.
"Hey, I need to talk to you.."
So he would tell her?

At his reaction she could only imagine what her dream symbolized, it probably had to do with the conversation she had with his mother. The bird must've been his grandmother. At the realization she gasped. "Oh..." She mumbled quietly.
Her ears perked up at the sound of his voice, "Of course!" She chirped, her darker feeling vanishing. "You can talk to me about anything," she told him with complete certainty in her tone. "What is it?" She inquired getting all too curious about what he might have to say.
Of course she wasn't aware of her own feelings for him so the thought never crossed her mind that he might love her like she subconsciously loved him.

"I..."
He muttered and glanced at her for a second. Was he about mess this relationship up? God, he hoped not.
"I think... I may be in love with you."
He just needed to spit it out, right? If he said it then it would be over and this feeling would go away.
But, ugh, it didn't. He still felt so strongly about her, god this was confusing.
"I mean... I love you, but, as more than a friend."
God, he felt so stupid.

I think I may be in love with you.
Those simple word made her heart skip a beat. Had she heard him correctly? Did he really say what she thought he had said? He had left her speechless, her mouth opened trying to respond only to shut a second later. She was without words.
I love you, but, as more than a friend.
He repeated himself, toying with the sentence structure to best express his feelings to her. Without thinking she moved close to him, brushing the top of her head under his chin before nosing his cheek. Everything suddenly became clear to her. The butterflies in her stomach, the way she lit up whenever she was around him, how a small smile from him made her whole day much better and why she was so desperate to find him when she thought there was a chance of losing him.
She loved him too.
"Ravii," she whispered tilting her head in towards him. "I love, am in love with, you too."

She loved him too?
He felt a sudden shock roll throughout his body as she spoke those words into his ear, his heart racing. This couldn't be happening, this had to be a dream? But it wasn't, he could feel her bush against him as she spoke to him, words that he had longed to hear her speak.
"Really..."
He didn't want to question her, no. He just wanted her to say it again.
"I am so glad..."
He purred, resting his chin above her head, nuzzling her softly.
"I never want to lose you."

Kirana chuckled feeling as though she was filled with some inner light that was just going to take her away. "Yes silly," she replied sticking her tongue out at him playfully. "I love you too," she stated once again rubbing her cheek against his neck. It was interesting to her, the fact that she hadn't been aware of her own feelings until he had told her his.
It has just suddenly clicked.
"You won't lose me," she told him confidently nipping lightly at his ear. "I already told you, you're stuck with me whether you like it or not," she teased. "I'm not going anyway," she mumbled content to just stay where she was.
Nothing could ruin the moment.

Nothing could hurt him now that she was in his life, nothing could ever harm him again. He had Kirana and she had him... and together they would be happy. He just knew it. He smiled at her second, "I love you." And licked her cheek, giving her a kiss before he spoke out.
"I'd never want you to leave me."
He promised with a nod.
"Not ever."
Nothing would stop him from loving her. Nothing.
