I'm just curious to find out how many girls out there actually broke their hymen during intercourse and how many broke theirs some other way.
me, well, I broke mine when I was 5 years old. I was climbing from a tree to a low brick wall and slipped, landed with my legs straddling the wall. pop went my "cherry".
what about you?

I think a lot of girls think they know when their hymen broke. And some do of course. But I think a lot of them are mistaken. For example, some people still think the only way to tear a hymen is through sex. Other people assume that their hymen tore during sex if they noticed any pain or bleeding even though pain and bleeding are more often due to dryness. Or they assume it tore during manual sex because they bled even though bleeding can be caused by a cut from a fingernail. Hymens can also tear with no pain or bleeding. So I don't think most girls know for sure, which means you might not get entirely accurate answers from a survey! I have no idea how or when mine broke. xp

Alright, so this is how it happened-
When I was around 7-9 years old I was riding my bike from the neighbors, I was racing to see how fast I could go. Well, you see my grandmother's porch has a cement foundation with one side being leveld with the ground, and the other side is about 3 or 4 inches above the ground. Since I was concentrating on seeing how fast my bike could go, I forgot that the side of the porch I was headed for was the side that was unleveled.
So, my bike's front tire hit the porch, stopping the bike, I flew forward and the bike's bar hit me in between the legs...
definitely hurt like heck. Tears came to my eyes instantly, and I bled quit a bit.
So yeah, I'm pretty sure that's how I "popped my cherry"
Regardless, I was in pain.
Oh, and I actually talked to my mom about it. Turns out she "popped her cherry" in a bicycle accident as well...

I think i might have broke mine, im not quite sure, while i was 11 when my kite flew on top of a tree (ya, i know thats not the best place to fly one xP) when i climbed it, got it, but tripped and fell between my legs on a branch. D: but no worries. I did get some bruises, but at least im alive. eek

Fell out of a boxing ring the wrong way after tripping over my own feet trying to get down after losing a match.
I also screwed up my ankle and had to use crutches for a week because of how I landed on my leg. I actually landed on my right foot, my crotch landing on my heel.
It hurt like hell. Most of the pain was from my ankle, though.

 ____I was ten. Riding my bike. Hit the brakes, landed on the tip of the teardrop-shaped seat of the bike. There was no blood, but it was very, very painful. And, of course, I've "explored" to see if I could break and find my hymen by myself - nothing. That only leads me to believe that it's gone.

The hymen can be broken from anything from falling funny, horse back riding to the first time using a tampon, its just a small bit of skin over the opening of the v****a. Its hard to know if you broke it sometimes without being examined. :O
Anyway, I probably broke my own when I was younger and was exploring my body, ie first learning about masturbation.

A looooooooooooong time ago there was this guy I thought I was just so in love with.. Bleh. Basically he barely spent any time on me and it was all about him. That makes a first experience awful when they don't care for your pleasure anyway. My current boyfriend however broke my hymen the first time he fingered me and I was very satisfied by comparison. I don't know if this is cruel or anything but maybe someone who doesn't even put effort into pleasing me or even doing something that apparently wasn't so hard isn't supposed to be with me anyway. =) Zomg it's a sign! 8P
