This is going to, in the end, be a tale explaining just how Eliana (Warning: When spoken by Cien he says her name as he first assumed her name to be, which is Elena. The pronunciations are similar, but only if you take into account that the ia is pronounced together, rather than separately) and Cien met, and also how exactly Eliana came into existence. All of my posts, with exceptions to flashbacks from Cien and stories from Eliana, are set place after Flandor was destroyed. This will also explain, somewhat, why Eliana has a necklace similar to Cien's.
Be warned, these may take long amounts of time to fill in as I will be slow with posting them so if you are interested in reading Eliana's past it will take a while for me to post things here. Also I'll try to keep from spoiling things as best I can about Cien >.<

A Chance Meeting / Ode to the Sky The rain was falling heavily on the roof as Cieven rearranged his things before sighing as he moved them back to their originial positions. It had been little more than a month since he had moved out of his grandparents house, and still his grandparents were sending him things to rearrange about the house from chairs to tables. Cieven made a mental note to tell them to no longer worry about sending him things, but he doubted they would stop. It was their way of making sure they weren't leaving Cieven to survive on his own. Cieven didn't really mind, but he really was running out of places to put things and keep his home in order. His living room wasn't all that large, and it already was border-lining too crowded. As if to prove this point, Cieven nearly tripped over a coffee table as he backed away from the couch. Cieven caught himself quickly before sighing lightly as he made his way out the living room and into the main hall.
Cien's home was not big, that being it had only a few rooms. A bathroom, a living room, a kitchen, and a bedroom, that was all he had. Still, those were more rooms than he needed as far as he was concerned. Cien would have been fine with not having a living room at all as he didn't invite anyone into his home. He did not have close enough friends to invite them into his house. It had been years since he had had a friend he would have considered close to him, and she was long gone. Cien didn't bother thinking her name, it would bring him pain to even think about it so he pushed it away quickly. Cien was still getting accustom to the pain even though it had been years ago. It was different to watch someone change like he had than to just lose a friend. Cien made sure to be friendly to people to avoid raising questions, but he still saw the way people looked at him when he went about the street. They knew as well as he did that his defense of her wasn't making him allies.
Cien had made it into the hallway when the sound of his door opening caught him off guard. Cien turned his eyes to the door as his left hand dropped to the sword at his side. Lightning flashed outside revealing not one person standing in his doorway, but two. One appeared to be young while the other appeared to possibly be the same age as Cien. "Yes? What do you want?" Cien asked, but his words were not greated with a reply. Cien's eyes narrowed slightly before he heard a sneeze. Cien watched as the younger shadow of a person removed a cloak of sorts before hanging it on the wall next to Cien's jacket before looking down the hall at Cien. After a moment of pause, Cien heard a cry of joy before the figure charged down the hallway. Cien blinked with surprise as a young girl hugged him without any hesitation as she got close to him.
Cien looked down at the dark blue hair before blinking in surprise as the young girl looked up at him. Her eyes were what shocked him at first, sky blue like his own, but after a moment of watching Cien relized this little girl looked almost like his mother. Cien then noticed the fins. Just like him, the young girl had fins on the side of her head that flicked out lightly as the girl smiled at him. Cien wasn't sure how to react for a moment before the girl looked back at the other figure in his home. "Come on, Ode! This is big brothers house! You where right."
Cien blinked at the very thought of him being 'big brother'. Cien frowned as he looked back at the secound female as she removed her jacket before stepping into the light of the hallway. At her side rested a sword, and that put Cien on guard. After what seemed like a minute, the little girl let go of Cien before running into the living room and looking around quickly. Cien watched her before looking back at the female directly in front of him. She said nothing as she watched Cien, but she did give him a slight bow before moving a step forward. Cien released his sword at his side as he turned to look at the girl in his living as she moved about taking everything in. " Um... hello? Do you mind explaining who you are and what you are doing in my house?" Cien asked before walking into the living room with the red haired female following behind him. Now that Cien got a good look at her, her red eyes and hair reminded him of someone, though he couldn't explain who.
The young girl turned to Cien quickly before looking at him confused."Didn't Grandma tell you? Father sent me from Iliquint. He wanted to send me to the nearest family like me, and that was Cieven, my big brother. You look like mother, at least the pictures of her. You have to be Cien, plus Ode here led me here. She doesn't talk much though... I haven't heard her say a word since I met her. Anyways, it's me, your little sister! Elena!" Cien blinked as he realized who Ode was now. She was a town guard member whom he had seen little of in his entire time training with the town guard. She usually hung back from people, and like the young girl in front of him, he had never once heard Ode speak. Her full name was Ode Skyliv. Someone in the guard had once made the connection of her name to the beginning of her last name taking it as she was an Ode to the Sky. Now Cien that Cien knew who he was dealing with though he relaxed before thinking about what Elena, as she said her name was, explained why she was here. Cien glanced over at Ode as she grabbed his hand without warning before pulling his hand up so that his palm faced upward. Without hesitation Ode started to write with her finger on his palm.
"E-l-i-a-n-a? What's that... wait. Elena, is that how you spell your name?" Cien turned to Eliana as he asked this and received a nod in reply. Cien had naturally spelled her name as it sounded when he thought of her name, Elena. The fact that her named was spelled differently bothered him, but then again if she was his younger sister, if that was even possible, her name wasn't going to be normal anyways. Still what were the odds of her being his sister? Wasn't that impossible? Cien's mother had died from a disease after having a still birth. Cien had supposed to have a little sister, but she hadn't been alive when she had been born. Who was this girl?
"Exuse me, but my mother is dead. How am I your older brother? I never had a younger sister." At these words, Eliana turned to look at Cien seriously. Silence passed between the two before Eliana pulled forth a stone from under her shirt. It wasn't the same as his own, but the chain as well as the design was similar to the very stone that Cien himself wore."I was the child they thought to be dead. Mother... she sacrificed all the energy she possessed and pulled it into this stone before using it on me. I'm the reason that... that mother died. The disease she contracted would never have found her had not she used all that she had to save one child. Father sent me away as soon as he found out what had happened. Mother and Faither agreed it was best not to tell you or my other siblings."
With these words spoken, Cien went silent. He had never heard of that story before. Cien glanced back at Ode for a moment who shrugged lightly at him before she moved over to a chair and took a seat. Cien shook his head lightly before looking back to the young girl who said she was his sister. Cien put his hand to his face for a moment before removing it as he looked at Eliana. Silently Cien took a seat on the couch before watching Eliana carefully."Ok then, explain this all to me, becuase it's news to me."

((On to the secound one, though I have a feeling I won't finish it in time before I go to bed.))
The Forsaken Yaine Cieven watched as his supposed younger sister watched him for a moment with a frown on her face. Cieven shook his head lightly as he started to stand, but Eliana's hand stopped him. Cieven watched her with a raised eye brow in question before she shook her head. "I'm sorry, but I don't really know where to start. Just give me a secound... and I'll come up with something. I promise. Hm... I supposed I could start back from after you left, because that is when things started to change for me. Ok, here I go: A few years after you left..."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Eliana stood looking at the old woman who acted as the head of the orphanage. She dealt with the children and where to send them when the time came for them to go. Eliana fidgeted in her seat as the old woman glared at her with such a ferocity that Eliana could have sworn she had done something wrong, but the problem with this was that Eliana had done nothing, there was no way she could have done anything. She hadn't even been in the orphanage long enough for her to have done something wrong. Finally Talia, the old woman, let out a sigh that nearly made Eliana jump out of her seat. Slowly Eliana looked back up to Talia's eyes after having looked down at Talia's sigh. Eliana was terrified that she was going to be thrown out and left on the streets to die. Luckily, that wasn't what this was about.
"Eliana, your mother is dead. You've been moving from house to house because you keep getting thrown out of them. What is wrong with you girl? You are nearly ten years old and I still have trouble with you. Most girls in the orphanage at your age get taken and I never see them again, but you just keep coming back. Eliana, I just don't know what to do with you since your family cannot take care of you." Eliana knew that the ending to that was false, she had seen her family once already. They were rich as far as she was concerned, they simply didn't want the child who had killed her mother to be apart of the family. Eliana couldn't say she understood that, but she had accepted it by now. It wasn't hard to find your family after all when you knew what their last names were.
"I haven't done anything wrong! It just when they find out that my family is the Yaine's, and that my mother is dead because of me they send me back here! If you people didn't tell them I would still be in the first home I'd been sent too!" Eliana regretted speaking out a second later as Talia's hand shot out and slapped her across the face. Eliana recoiled naturally before looking back at Talia with tears starting to form in her right eye from where she had been hit. It stung, but she refused to cry over it. She was stronger than that, and she knew it. "Do not speak like that to me girl! I am the one who is watching out for your better interest and you shall not back talk me." Talia roared at Eliana. Slowly Eliana got up onto her feet a bit unsteadily before looking at Talia with extreme dislike.
"Then I'll leave. I know were my family is. I'll go to them. You can't stop me!" Eliana replied before starting away. She heard yelling behind her, but no one came after her as she ran out the door and into the raining streets. It was dark out, but that was to be expected with the large storm clouds that had been over Iliquint for days now. Eliana didn't need light to find her way to her families home though. She had traveled her more times than she could count just to watch her brothers and sisters who didn't even know she existed. Eliana had never actually spoken to her father, Gage, but she doubted he would want to ever see her anyways. Still, he was the only one who might take her in even though he knew the truth.
Eliana paused at the gates to a rather large home before putting her hand on the metal of the gate. She could see a light on in the second floor and the shadow of someone sitting at a desk. Eliana could only hope that she wouldn't be turned away onto the streets by whoever was awake in that room. Eliana pulled open the gate before starting up the path to the main door. She paused at the door looking around before looking at the door knocker. It was well past ten so it was also no shock that everyone else in the home was asleep. Eliana was actually too afraid to knock on the door though. She didn't want to be turned away, and if her father didn't want her...
Eliana shook her head lightly as she reached up and used the knocker to make a weak bang on the door. It was too high up for her to reach so she was barely able to hit the door with it standing on her tip toes. Eliana moved back from the door and waited. She waited for a good minute or so before sighing lightly. What hope did she think she have of convincing her father to let her live with them? It was so stupid. Eliana turned away with tears in her eyes before starting away. She made it only a few steps before the door opened behind her. Eliana didn't pause until she heard what was said by whoever was in the door. "Eliana? What are you doing here?" It was her father.
Eliana stopped and slowly turned to look at her father who's hair was grey with age as he watched her. Eliana was crying, not that it would be possible to tell by the rain falling down from the sky covering her face. Eliana took a step towards the door before stopping again. Gale seemed to recognize her hesitation before he moved out of the door into the rain before taking Eliana's hand and leading her inside. He was dressed in what appeared to be bed clothes, but he didn't hesitate to go out into the rain for her. Eliana was too shocked to do anything as her father closed the door behind him as he got Eliana inside.
"Eliana, what are you doing here? I thought you would be in bed at this hour at the orphanage." Gale asked Eliana gently as he pulled her over to a living room before motioning for her to sit on one of the several chairs in the room. Eliana sat down before wiping her eyes. She looked up at her father trying to come up with what to tell him, but now word seemed to evade her. Eliana looked down as she remembered that her father was the one who sent her to that home in the first place. Why would he even care? She shook her head lightly as tears fell freely from her face. Gale knelt on the ground next to Eliana before putting his hand gently on hers. "What's wrong Eliana? You're scaring me. What happened that you came here?" Gale asked Eliana gently.
Eliana looked up at her father searching his eyes for some sign of hate that she knew would be there, but there wasn't any. He was genuinely concerned for her and concerned. And so she spoke the truth, about all that happened at the orphanage and how no one wished to have her as their child. Gale listened watching his daughter intently the entire time before sighing lightly as he gave Eliana a hug as she finished. "It's ok Eliana. You don't have to be worried about me disliking you. I love you, for you are my daughter." Gale said gently, which of course caused Eliana to ask why he sent her away. Gale released Eliana from the hug before putting his hands gently on hers.
"Listen Eliana, your mother thought this would be for the best. Your brothers and sisters couldn't accept Cieven, your older brother, and he had done nothing to caused them to hate him so. Your brothers and sisters don't even know you exist. Lune thought it would be best for you to live without that hate, but it seems to have followed you... Eliana I'd love to have you here, but I do not wish for you to feel the same thing that Cieven had to feel. Eliana... would you be willing to travel to Linkton after your brother? You have grandparents up there who would care for you as they have Cieven. I didn't mean for this to happen Eliana, I swear. I had thought it would keep you close to me but also allow you to live happy in a family. I'm so sorry." Gale truly did appear sorry to Eliana, and so she believed his words. Eliana didn't know what to say to Gale at first, but then she realized that she had never even heard of Cieven before.
"Who is Cieven? If he moved away, I've never met him before. Why was he disliked so?" Eliana asked her father as she watched him. There was a pause before Gale sighed gently. "He looked like your mother, like you do." Eliana didn't know what to say to that. Instead she stared at her father with complete shock on her face. Was there a brother who looked like her, who had felt the same things she had felt? It sounded almost too good to be true, but how did she know what he wasn't just trying to get rid of her? It was as though Gale knew this though as he reached over and pulled a picture off of the table next to Eliana before showing it to her. In the picture was her mother, whom she had never actually seen, and a young boy who looked so much like Eliana's mother that there was little chance that he wasn't her son.
((I might continue this in the future but editing the post, or I'll simply make another post I don't know yet. Either way I'm off for bed.))
((So I've come to the decision that I actually like putting random information at the beginning of each post, like this. I suppose I'll put this here, but when I finally finish this, or maybe before hand..., I will start something for Kaiden because I want to write about his past. Tis sad.))
Eliana looked up at Gage as soon as she got done examining the picture with a look of what might have been awe on her face. She couldn't have dreamed of such a brother existing. It meant a lot to her to have a brother who might be the same as she was. "I... I would prefer living with you, father, but if it is for the best I will go to my brother. I... would like that I believe." At these words, Gage smiled softly at his daughter. He gave a faint nod to her before he stood up and motioned for her to remain where she was. Eliana watched him go before looking around the living room. Lining the walls, towers of books stared back at her. She had never been one to be interested in reading, but it was clear that her father was. Eliana didn't dare move from her seat though to go look at the books. Instead she waited patiently for her father to return. When he did, almost ten minutes later, Eliana had actually started to doze off.
Eliana jumped into the waking world as she caught sight of a teen female with red hair and eyes. The girl looked at Eliana with an almost empty expression before looking up at Gage. Eliana noticed something peculiar the female wore, a red stone necklace. It was a simple chain with a red slightly crystalline stone at the end of the chain, almost like a ruby. Eliana watched it for a moment before blinking as she thought she saw a fire inside of it. Eliana looked back up at the female with curiosity as to why she was here. It was a moment later that Eliana took notice of the blade at the female's side. Eliana looked up at Gage with worry, but he dismissed her with a wave of his hand as he fiddled with a box in his hands.
Gage finally managed to open the box, and in return a faint blue light emanated from the box. Gage pulled forth a necklace not unlike the one that she had seen her mother wearing in the picture of Luna and Cieven. The major difference was that this stone had a metal jacket over the top of it were the chain was attached. It was also a more green color, but Eliana could not really tell that from the picture she had looked at of Luna and Cieven. Gage moved directly to her before pulling the necklace around Eliana's neck and closing the clasp making it hers. Gage took a step back before kneeling down and taking Eliana's hand once more.
"I'm sorry you have to go so soon daughter, but you must go before your siblings awake. Ode here will take you to Linkton. She's been watching out for Cieven and came back to me to report something odd. I'm sure it's nothing to be concerned about though so I'm sending her back right away. You will accompany her so that you can make it to Linkton safely. You'll find she isn't very talkative, as a matter of a fact she is mute. She is never to speak to anyone." Eliana noticed almost right away that Gage did not say she couldn't speak, but rather was to never speak to someone. Eliana wasn't sure if that was just the wording, or a fact of the matter.
"Eliana, I wish you good luck on your trip. I hope no harm comes to you. Be safe, my daughter." And with those words said, Gage stood and motioned for Ode to come closer. Ode moved forward before raising the cloak she was holding. Gage pulled it around Eliana before kissing her head gently and walking away. Eliana watched her father go before looking at Ode as she pulled on her own cloak. Ode watched Eliana for a good time with emotionless eyes before motioning for her to follow and starting away. Ode pulled up the hood of the cloak before going out the door without any secound glances. Eliana on the other hand followed Ode to the door before turning and looking back at inside of the house. Eliana gave a small wave before disappearing out the door without anymore thinking.
Eliana was quick to pull up the hood of her cloak as she chased after Ode who was quickly disappearing from view. Eliana didn't take long to catch her before falling in step with the silent Ode. Eliana made note to try to get Ode to speak to her if it was possible, but from what Eliana had seen so far of Ode, the female didn't like her. Eliana hoped that that wasn't going to be the truth of the entire trip. Eliana didn't want to travel with someone to Linkton who was going to be hateful the entire way. If Gage trusted her though, Eliana figured she might as well trust Ode. Ode did look like a fighter after all, so Eliana figured she should have felt safe if someone attacked them like bandits, but that didn't help Eliana's confidence that Ode wouldn't attack her.
